  1. I think it should be prohibited to profit commercially from A.I. image generation no matter what. I'm sick of these do nothing mouth breathers pretending that they have even a sliver of skill someone working traditionally would have. At best, using A.I. image generation wholesale should looked down on as the truly inferior past time that it is. It's like those kids on Deviant Art who drew over "bases" and said "I made this", or perhaps more damning, since a DABase still requires some thought and effort,
  2. It's more like playing a Video Game customizing an Avatar and then going "I made this" - no you didn't, someone else made it for you, and then you sorted the pieces in a manner that you think resembles the tiniest crumb of self expression. And you can't sell a screenshot of your Madden Uniform, or Fortnite Final Fantasy Avatar, people would laugh at you. They can dress up the screenshot, unlock the ingame camera, pretend to be a photographer, but it'll just be a showcase to someone who actually did the hard work of Modeling and Texturing. I'd spit on A.I. image evangelists if they were worth the effort, their only claim to fame is the annoying agree to which they crop up in the news constantly. There's nothing noteworthy about whats happening in an A.I. image, just as much as I can appreciate a .mp3 music player visualization, people can appreciate what is produced by an A.I., or a recording of a video game
  3. But we dont pretend that what is happening with a SSX Tricky AMV or a Roblox Fail Compilation is anything close to being regarded as high art. shit, I am so tired of seeing these losers opening patreons and getting into of all things, art competitions -
  4. like are they really that needy? Do they need other people to say "wow great work! Proud of you" to them that badly? So do the rest of us! Get over it! Get therapy! They should grow some sense of self esteem before going around pretending that a toy makes them an artist. and whats worse, they're willingly being taxed for it. A.I. Image generation is absolutely free for you to use on your computer, and there is something to be said for what you can produce when you feed the machine deliberately, still a dower, uninspired copy of what you could produce with After Effects, or any other image software, but thats not whats happening, it's no longer just an enthusiast toy for people with nothing else to do with their computers. it hasn't taken long for people to take that software and repackage it for your average technically unsavy shit sniffer to drop wads of cash into. and they're making a KILLING, by limited the number of possible outputs producible based on the amount of money you put in, even though every A.I. weirdo will tell you that the key to producing ""good"" ""results"" is through multiple passes through the same prompts with minor alterations, again still an effortless trivial affair for babies, but now it costs about as much as it would cost you to buy a book, or attend a Library Art Class. As usual, people allow themselves to be exploited for the most fleeting flybynight nonsense.
  5. Yes, you have assumed correctly, A.I. Image generation is just eye Karaoke.
  6. No room for growth, no means of experimentation, and any expression found is simply borrowed from someone else
  7. if your idea of art is just producing what other people have already created, or representing things that exist in a reproducible form, good for you I guess.
