  1. Hello, I'm an employee for TPCi. My coworkers and I work on writing up and publishing the English and Spanish articles for updating the websites as well as the various "Rulesets" for both official Singles and Doubles ladder, and official VGC Rules as well as any Online Competitions.
  2.
  3. To a certain extent, it is also to prepare some of us that are VGC Judges so that they know what new stuff does in advance. We get an earlier look at new Pokémon, Items, Moves, and Abilities. I don't personally know many names for things other than in English, though.
  4.
  5. Many old Pokémon are returning, as well as a few Pokémon being introduced for the first time. In total, there are 242 Entries in the Blueberry Academy Pokédex, with a Master Pokédex with 744 Entries that, going forward, will be used to outline what Pokémon are or aren't legal at times. This Master Pokédex includes every single species and form in SV. I assume this is done to bring back the feel of a National Pokédex, and to better communicate Pokémon that aren't in any other SV Pokédex otherwise.
  6.
  7. I will use existing National Pokédex Entries throughout this update article as it's what everyone knows.
  8.
  9. Firstly, let's start right away with the New Pokémon:
  10. - #1018: Archaludon (Steel / Dragon)
  11. - #1019: Hydrappl (Bug / Dragon)
  12. - #1020: Raging Bolt (Electric / Dragon)
  13. - #1021: Storming Ash (Fire / Dragon)
  14. ["Irachispa" en Español]
  15. - #1022: Iron Crown (Steel / Psychic)
  16. - #1023: Iron Tines (Rock / Psychic)
  17. ["Ferrocuerno" en Español]
  18. - #1024: Terapagos (Rock / Normal)
  19. - #1024_1: Terapagos (Rock / Dragon)
  20. - #1024_2: Terapagos (Jewel)
  21. - #1025: Doku Momo (Poison / Ghost)
  22. Their Stats and Abilities will be included at the end since it takes up a lot of space.
  23.
  24. There are also two new Terastal–States, like Terapagos', but for Koraidon and Miraidon:
  25. - #1007_6: Koraidon (Jewel / Flying)
  26. - #1008_6: Miraidon (Jewel / Steel)
  27. As far as I can tell, these are the only other Terastal–States there are, and they act as purely Flying– or Steel–Types respectively. This is probably a reference to their Paradox names, "Winged King" and "Iron Serpent", which are the names for these formes. They keep their original Abilities.
  28.
  29. Let's touch base on the "Nineteenth Tera–Type" next, as it's important and certain moves rely on it. We actually know the localized name in every European language as it was supposed to be revealed along with the Type itself during the Worlds presentation at first:
  30. - "Jewel Tera–Type" (English)
  31. - "Type Téracristal Arc–en–Ciel" (French)
  32. - "Kristalliner Tera–Typ" (German)
  33. - "Teratipo Cristallino" (Italian)
  34. - "Teratipo Cristalino" (Spanish)
  35. It is, effectively, Typeless as an actual Type. Terastallizing into it will boost everything else but the exact value is unknown, but Jewel will also gain STAB. Jewel is only weak to and strong against Jewel.
  36.
  37. For moves, certain Pokémon existing in Scarlet and Violet can learn new moves through Relearning, Breeding, or TMs
  38.
  39. The new Moves range from good to great, with very little inbetween. I don't believe any of them are truly less than at least a good option. There are 15 new Moves total, with a new variant of Tera Blast acting as an extra one:
  40. - Electro Shot
  41. - Hard Press
  42. - Hold Still
  43. ["Refrenar" en Español]
  44. - Intoxicate
  45. - Jewel Burst
  46. - Love Bite
  47. - Psychic Noise
  48. - Supercharged Cell
  49. - Tachyon Cutter
  50. - Tazing Crash
  51. - Tephra Storm
  52. ["Ráfaga de Ceniza" en Español]
  53. - Tera Blast (Jewel)
  54. - Teraluminescence
  55. ["Teraluminescencia" en Español]
  56. ["Teraluminescenza" in Italiano]
  57. - Thunderclap
  58. - Upper Hand
  59. - Venom Hurl
  60. Like with the Pokémon, at the end I'll include their Types, Powers, Accuracies, Descriptions, and Distribution though Relearning/Breeding/Leveling Up, but the chances for effects and such aren't known.
  61.
  62. There are also 28 TMs and they are all also pretty good. Several cut moves return in this DLC, but two of them became TMs again:
  63. - TM202: Curse
  64. - TM203: Pursuit
  65. - TM204: Parting Shot
  66. - TM205: Mystical Fire
  67. - TM206: Life Dew
  68. - TM207: Snap Trap
  69. - TM208: Feint
  70. - TM209: Sky Drop
  71. - TM210: Roost
  72. - TM211: Breaking Swipe
  73. - TM212: Spirit Break
  74. - TM213: Strength Sap
  75. - TM214: Ally Switch
  76. - TM215: Terrain Pulse
  77. - TM216: Rising Voltage
  78. - TM217: Skitter Smack
  79. - TM218: Corrosive Gas
  80. - TM219: Coaching
  81. - TM220: Triple Axel
  82. - TM221: Scorching Sands
  83. - TM222: Expanding Force
  84. - TM223: Steel Roller
  85. - TM224: Meteor Beam
  86. - TM225: Love Bite
  87. - TM226: Upper Hand
  88. - TM227: Psychic Noise
  89. - TM228: Supercharged Cell
  90. - TM229: Hard Press
  91. Honestly speaking, some of them have pretty limited distributions, think Scald, with its distribution being slashed despite being a TM. Unlike the move data, I will not be including in–depth learnsets for these TMs, or EVERY move Pokémon get through relearning or breeding now. There are over 700 Pokémon in this game now and I haven't looked at everything myself. Simply expect pretty similar distribution to previous installments.
  92.
  93. Now for the Abilities, there are only 4 new ones and 3 of them belong to Terapagos.
  94. - "Toxic Influence"
  95. [Mala Influencia en Español]
  96. _ Hydrappl's signature Ability, granting it the Poison–Typing permanently.
  97. - "Terastal Crystal"
  98. _ One of Terapagos' Abilities. This one can't be nullified by Neutralizing Gas, can't be overwritten, and can't be copied/taken. It makes base Terapagos transform, but it doesn't take your one Terastallization slot. The exact requirement needed or if it's just doable as soon as it enters battle is unknown.
  99. - "Elemental Shell"
  100. _ Another of Terapagos' Abilities. This one adds a Type to its existing Typing randomly at the end of each turn, replacing the last.
  101. - "Type Shield"
  102. _ This ability is for a Pokémon that exists now, for sure. It makes Terapagos take 3/4 damage from any Type.
  103. The third is probably for Terastal Forme Terapagos, meanwhile the second to last is likely for the third forme.
  104.
  105. The name of that forme is Tera–Genesis [Teragénesis en Español]. It achieves it by Terastallizing. Which is weird, because it already is? Anyway, it seems that the term "Normal Forme" for base Terapagos is accurate and that "Terastal Forme" is also accurate, it's like the Normal–Typing is what's Terastallizing in a weird way. Both of the alternate formes have Base Stat increases which is unlike Ogerpon or the two dragons.
  106.
  107. As expected, anything new from this update will not be allowed in Regulation E, except moves learnable through Relearning or Breeding for Pokémon already legal.
  108.

  186. - #0868–0869
  187. - #0884
  188. This list includes Pokémon that aren't in the Blueberry Academy Pokédex. I cannot promise there will be a way to get everything natively as I have no idea myself. Going forward into Regulation F, everything BUT Restricted Legendaries and Mythicals will be legalized. For instance, Walking Wake and Iron Leaves will finally be legalized, but Koraidon and Miraidon will not be.
  189.
  190. We know nothing about new items other than two held items for Koraidon and Miraidon that boosts their stats (other than HP) each when Terastallized (doesn't have to be their new Tera States.) They are refined from two ores into the "Scarlet Crown" and "Violet Core." Like with other technical information here, the exact values are unknown. I'm guessing it's 1.3 like usual for Paradoxes, but that is a massive increase, so it might be and probably should be lower. I did hear through the grapevine that there is a "Mystery Box" that is apparently for evolving Meltan into Melmetal, but I have no idea if this is true.
  191.
  192. The last thing that I will say before getting into the Stats and Moves is that we don't usually get to see what the Pokémon themselves look like, but along with that big reveal trailer at Worlds, they were supposed to also reveal Hydrappl since, anyway, people would find out that Dipplin evolves. I will try to draw it to the best of my ability before posting.
