Why does the P3 Stomps say relative kefka north when kefka is in the center of the room at stomp-a-mole?

Kefka's at the outside of the arena at this prior to Look upon Me and Despair. But once he falls, he stands up in the center and continues to face the direction he fell. Kefka's left foot is supposed to be black, his right foot white, so there's also something pictured wrong with the feet it seems. Are the feet facing the wrong direction relative to where his face icon is shown or are they flipped? Which way is kefka facing in the example?
