  1. (2:35:58 PM) ***concientiousAristocrat PMs hereticPestilence ( Miss Emile, are you still there? )
  2. (2:36:44 PM) ***herPes|Online PMs concientiousAristocrat (Yes, I would be. May I ask why you are private messaging me?)
  3. (2:38:41 PM) ***concientiousAristocrat PMs hereticPestilence ( I remember when you were online not long ago, right before your eyes were replaced. I wanted to know a little more about what's been happening in your session, from your perspective. )
  4. (2:39:02 PM) ***concientiousAristocrat PMs hereticPestilence ( Particularly the...vendetta? Would that be the word? Between yourself and one Cassie Deadeye? )
  5. (2:42:04 PM) ***herPes|Online PMs concientiousAristocrat (It is not a vendetta. I have to admit I rather like Miss Deadeye. However, she does not like me. That is not of importance, however.)
  6. (2:42:21 PM) ***concientiousAristocrat PMs hereticPestilience ( Ah? What is? )
  7. (2:44:42 PM) ***herPes|Online PMs concientiousAristocrat (I caused distress to her ex-romantic partner. Miss Deadeye was displeased, and stole my eyes.)
  8. (2:46:34 PM) ***concientiousAristocrat PMs hereticPestilience ( You state it so blandly! Her...former moirail, was it? Vilegi? Did he provoke you? And, I am most curious--what is it that you like about Miss Deadeye? )
  9. (2:46:42 PM) ***herPes|Online PMs concientiousAristocrat (However, it was I who wanted her to cause physical harm- I find it rather amusing, but also I want to see what she is capable of.)
  10. (2:47:08 PM) ***herPes|Online PMs concientiousAristocrat (The troll did nothing. It was merely an easy target.)
  11. (2:49:08 PM) ***herPes|Online PMs concientiousAristocrat (She is interesting. Many people like her, despite her being hot-tempered, violent, and a past murderer.)
  12. (2:51:46 PM) ***concientiousAristocrat PMs hereticPestilence ( What she is capable of? I'm intrigued to see you put it that way. )
  13. (2:54:01 PM)concientiousAristocrat: Hot-tempered, violent, and a past murderer. That is...mm. Not classically a recipe for social esteem.
  14. (2:54:01 PM) concientiousAristocrat: I had heard something about a player-killer, weirdLove? Is that to what you're referring, or....?
  15. (2:54:56 PM) herPes|Online: No. She did not kill Miss Pothos, though she is partially to blame for her death.
  16. (2:55:19 PM) herPes|Online: Apparently she is linked to two other murders.
  17. (2:56:52 PM) concientiousAristocrat: Right, right. She was accomplice to your hero of time, if I'd heard correctly. What do you know about the other two?
  18. (2:58:42 PM) concientiousAristocrat: How much would her friends and family know, about those other circumstances?
  19. (2:59:26 PM) herPes|Online: Supposedly they were veterans. She spoke of Lotus, which I am to be looking into.
  20. (2:59:40 PM) herPes|Online: I guess they know everything. They do not seem to be surprised.
  21. (2:59:58 PM) concientiousAristocrat: How does she regard her bloodstained hands?
  22. (3:00:37 PM) herPes|Online: She spoke of herself as a monster. I laughed.
  23. (3:01:20 PM) concientiousAristocrat: Or a child who has not been taught how to control herself?
  24. (3:02:45 PM) herPes|Online: Her friends at least believe that she needs help. They do not seem to blame her.
  25. (3:03:09 PM) herPes|Online: I believe her to be naïve in a way.
  26. (3:06:06 PM) herPes|Online: It is fairly easy to manipulate her if you understand her.
  27. (3:16:44 PM) concientiousAristocrat: Oh? Do tell.
  28. (3:21:25 PM) herPes|Online: She values family so much, it really is a weakness. And she believes herself to be so strong and fearsome.
  29. (3:22:05 PM) concientiousAristocrat: Where does strength come from, Emile?
  30. (3:23:37 PM) herPes|Online: She has killed in the past, and she is god tier. The protection she has physically and the protection from her family lulls her into a false sense of security. She believes herself untouchable.
  31. (3:23:45 PM) herPes|Online: I can touch her so easy.
  32. (3:24:28 PM) herPes|Online: But tell me this: Why are you interested?
  33.
  34. 5:37:28 PM) conscientiousAristocrat: You are not a friend. But you may be the enemy of my enemy.
  35. (5:37:29 PM) Bookwyrm is now known as tenaciousTheseys
  36. (5:37:34 PM) tenaciousTheseys is now known as tenaciousTheseus
  37. (5:37:55 PM) hereticPestilence: And who would your enemy be?
  38. (5:39:26 PM) conscientiousAristocrat: Well. Perhaps it is putting things too strongly, to say that those are my feelings regarding our esteemed moderator Zeimah Dalyce.
  39. (5:40:26 PM) conscientiousAristocrat: I remember her as a terribly arrogant Mage of Time in our inaugural session. In her four sessions since, she has won a position of community respect, voyaged the Interstices in the company of a venerable Seer and god-king, and yet changed very, very, little from the girl I knew.
  40. (5:40:51 PM) hereticPestilence: I see.
  41. (5:40:59 PM) hereticPestilence: And what are you proposing?
  42. (5:41:11 PM) antediluvianCommodore is now known as musicalDecay
  43. (5:42:32 PM) conscientiousAristocrat: You're really quite blunt, at times, you know? I appreciate this.
  44. (5:44:08 PM) hereticPestilence: Thank you.
  45. (5:44:09 PM) conscientiousAristocrat: I am new to this community; I do not know many people well. But it seems to me that Sburb.org is terribly, terribly, hypocritical. It claims to be a place of service and aid to all. But aren't you a wronged party, too?
  46. (5:45:27 PM) hereticPestilence: This fact has occurred to me also. And you wish to bring down this Dalyce and change the community?
  47. (5:48:51 PM) conscientiousAristocrat: It would have been personal, were I younger, and angrier. I highly doubt Cyma's the real problem with Sburb.org. The poison seems much more systemic.
  48. (5:48:51 PM) conscientiousAristocrat: Honestly? I'm starting to become convinced that Cassie is a threat to this community. She comes off as a danger to herself and others.
  49. (5:49:44 PM) conscientiousAristocrat: I'd like to keep talking to you. No co-player should be left blind and alone, no matter what they've done.
  50. (5:50:37 PM) hereticPestilence: Your kindness is unexpected, but not unwelcome.
  51. (5:51:17 PM) conscientiousAristocrat: But it was, I admit, your apparent antipathy to Cassie, sister to Cyma, that caught my attention. Do tell me, Emile--what is it that you truly want?
  52. (5:53:32 PM) hereticPestilence: I would like to force Miss Deadeye's hand in murder. While my death is a slightly unfortunate side-effect, I find it very amusing to play with her, and the thought of making her an unwilling killer I find truly hilarious.
  53. (5:53:44 PM) hereticPestilence: I want to utterly beat and break her.
  54. (5:56:35 PM) conscientiousAristocrat: What would you do if you were unsuccessful? That is to say, if you somehow survive the experience?
  55. (5:57:24 PM) hereticPestilence: I would be slightly disappointed, but I survived the experience, that would mean she would most likely be permanently dead.
  56. (5:57:37 PM) hereticPestilence: I would be forced to go into hiding- her friends would want my head.
  57. (5:57:58 PM) hereticPestilence: Perhaps I would attempt to fake my death, start anew.
  58. (5:58:07 PM) hereticPestilence: It would certainly be difficult.
  59. (5:58:13 PM) conscientiousAristocrat: I've known more than a few people who've done that successfully.
  60. (5:59:27 PM) conscientiousAristocrat: You might have to forsake the sburb.org community--the interaction of connection dongle and shiny-check system makes it exceedingly difficulty to adopt a new identity. But, there are other corners for Replayers to find common cause in.
  61. (6:01:17 PM) conscientiousAristocrat: How greatly do you wish death, Miss Emile? How important is an end to your existence of eternal Gameplay?
  62. (6:01:47 PM) hereticPestilence: Death is only a side-effect. I could not care less- I only wish to win.
  63. (6:02:37 PM) conscientiousAristocrat: Hah. A fellow competitive spirit, then?
  64. (6:03:07 PM) hereticPestilence: Indeed.
  65. (6:04:07 PM) conscientiousAristocrat: Interesting. What is the game?
  66. (6:07:40 PM) hereticPestilence: I suppose you could liken it to a mixture of chess and cat-and-mouse.
  67. (6:08:05 PM) conscientiousAristocrat: No.
  68. (6:08:17 PM) conscientiousAristocrat: What are the rules. What are the conditions for victory.
  69. (6:08:21 PM) conscientiousAristocrat: How is it played.
  70. (6:10:50 PM) Mnem is now known as scrNot|Online
  71. (6:13:54 PM) hereticPestilence: I pretend to be the villain, and I force Miss Deadeye to play the hero through threats and small misdeeds.
  72. (6:14:12 PM) hereticPestilence: She does not want to play my game. Neither does she wish to kill me. But I force her to do so.
  73. (6:14:40 PM) hereticPestilence: It shall leave her with a sense of loss and dissatisfaction. Because she indeed will lose.
  74. (6:14:59 PM) conscientiousAristocrat: You're not playing to win. You're playing to make her lose. There's a distinction, there.
  75. (6:15:24 PM) hereticPestilence: If she loses, I win.
  76. (6:16:06 PM) conscientiousAristocrat: Mm. Is there nothing you would find more satisfying. It seems a very lonely way of living. Regardless of whether you are a God or not, you are clearly seeking a Just death.
  77. (6:20:35 PM) hereticPestilence: I do not need friends. It merely provides a weak spot.
  78. (6:21:13 PM) conscientiousAristocrat: Are allies a strength, or a weakness?
  79. (6:21:20 PM) scrNot|Online is now known as Mnem
  80. (6:22:41 PM) hereticPestilence: Allies can be useful, as long as there is no emotional attachment.
  81. (6:23:52 PM) conscientiousAristocrat: Blood taught me too well for that statement to have any truth.
  82. (6:24:59 PM) hereticPestilence: I have not had Blood.
  83. (6:26:12 PM) hereticPestilence: I do not care to.
  84. (6:27:07 PM) conscientiousAristocrat: Well. Perhaps you'll learn more, should you survive your game. Skaia has a plan for all of us. Yours need not be Miss Deadeye's ruination.
  85. (6:28:19 PM) hereticPestilence: How else shall I be remembered, if not the woman who was Miss Deadeye's downfall?
  86. (6:29:55 PM) conscientiousAristocrat: Well, that would depend entirely on what else she does after your death.
  87. (6:30:11 PM) hereticPestilence: True.
  88. (6:32:18 PM) nebulousMetamorph is now known as dominoFeatherweight
  89. (6:32:56 PM) hereticPestilence: What are you proposing then? An alternative?
  90. (6:34:34 PM) hereticPestilence: Something more interesting, more memorable?
  91. (6:34:41 PM) conscientiousAristocrat: I don't know, yet. My initial goal, after all, was just to get to understand what exists between you and Miss Deadeye more clearly, and to understand your and her circumstances. I don't know if I want to be your ally. You're so callous about the whole matter; what can you truly offer me that I wouldn't already get from your actions?
  92. (6:35:57 PM) hereticPestilence: And what you want is reform.
  93. (6:37:26 PM) hereticPestilence: To 'fix' the community, or to tear it down and rebuild it?
  94. (6:37:44 PM) conscientiousAristocrat: I'm an idealist, Miss Emile. I always will be. I recognize that you are not.
  95. (6:38:16 PM) conscientiousAristocrat: There are many people here, that do not understand how to truly play the Game. But that is an issue bigger than your little game with Cassie Deadeye.
  96. (6:41:03 PM) hereticPestilence: Hm.
  97. (6:41:49 PM) hereticPestilence: You have very noble sentiments.
  98. (6:44:26 PM) conscientiousAristocrat: Thank you.
  99. (6:45:22 PM) hereticPestilence: It's almost comical, however.
  100. (6:45:50 PM) hereticPestilence: How do you suppose to change a large community powered by a group willing to defend each other to the very death, it seems?
  101. (6:47:06 PM) hereticPestilence: You would eliminate the entire family.
  102. (6:47:26 PM) hereticPestilence: The mods, and their friends, for they would take their place and go after you.
  103. (6:47:39 PM) hereticPestilence: This I know. It may already be too late for myself.
  104. (6:51:05 PM) hereticPestilence: I would have to hide the entirety of the remaining session if I wanted to survive it.
  105. (6:54:10 PM) conscientiousAristocrat: They are hunting you?
  106. (6:54:37 PM) hereticPestilence: I believe so.
  107. (6:55:29 PM) hereticPestilence: Miss Deadeye was deceased for a period of time- she does not hold still. I missed.
  108. (6:56:22 PM) hereticPestilence: I was very unlucky.
  109. (6:56:36 PM) hereticPestilence: If Miss Deadeye does not kill me, surely one of the others will.
  110. (6:56:40 PM) hereticPestilence: And I am blind.
  111. (6:56:53 PM) hereticPestilence: And my ARC is poor.
  112. (6:57:09 PM) hereticPestilence: I believe the word for my situation is 'screwed'.
  113. (6:59:40 PM) conscientiousAristocrat: Then I hope the peace you're so welcomingly courting finds you, Miss Emile.
  114. (6:59:48 PM) conscientiousAristocrat: I hope we can speak more again in the future.
  115. (7:00:36 PM) dominoFeatherweight is now known as tenPsy|online
  116. (7:00:38 PM) hereticPestilence: As do I.
  117. (7:00:44 PM) hereticPestilence: I bid thee adieu.
