FE Heroes

This is a comparison for the 5* LVL40 FE Heroes conversations. I don't claim to be an expert so there might be mistakes.

Some dialogues were altered and that sucks but to my surprise quite a few of them also managed to convey the tone and character really well. So, I will mostly point out mistakes and only fully translate whatever seems different enough to warrant it. Names are a bit of a mess; sorry about that, I'll try to fix them later.

ABEL
"I hope we keep getting along like always." is missing at the end

ALFONSE
It's not really that different but he's quickly becoming my favourite so here it is anyway.

"You always visit me don't you? It's become so natural I get agitated when I don't see you. To be honest becoming friends with a summoner-no, with you isn't something I intended. The more you have to lose the worse it hurts when you do. Given my position I cannot just keep getting hurt. I thought the rational thing to do was keep my distance from everyone I meet and not have any attachments but...I've failed. I already feel like it'd be difficult to part with you. AQUA
"You are the ocean's gray waves—♪" is of course "yurari yurureri♪" and in the end it should be "invisible country" not "kingdom of silence." The rest is the same and very well-done I must add.

ASAMA
"Ah, so it was you. Loath as i am to, I cannot mistake those ever-busy footsteps after listening to them so many times. It seems you must have a lot of free time if you spend it getting involved with a completely harmless clergyman. Oh and speaking about free time...us heroes will be freed too one day right? I've suddenly became interested in that day when I won't be able to listen to those loud footsteps anymore. There is no need to need to lament over being separated by life or death. However...I have ended up growing fond of you. I think it wouldn't be so terrible to let you work me to the bone a while longer. Please take as much time as possible before you set me free."

BELKA
Same but she's somewhat more emotional in the end "This is probably because of your power as a summoner. It'd be troublesome for an assassin like me if it was because of my feelings so...yes this is all because of your summoning powers.

CAMILLA
"Oh my, you've also come to visit me today. Well, let me see that face now. Hehe I'm glad...it doesn't seem like you're hurt. You've got such a strong holy weapon and yet you can't fight...you're so adorable. When I look at you I just want to protect you. I will defeat all your enemies for you. I might only feel this way because you're a summoner and I'm a hero but I am content with that. Even if it's for a single moment I want to be your special hero. I love you forever."

CATRIA
I always seem like I'm staring somewhere far away, you say? Hehe, if that's how it looked to you then perhaps that's how it is. But...there's nothing to worry about anymore because I can now clearly feel our bond. That's right, I believe that from now on I can look forward and fight with strength and dignity. That is of course...as long as you stay by my side.

CECILIA
The words are more or less the same but the tone in the original feels somewhat more playful than teacher-like.

CHROM
Same except "There is no one I'd rather have guiding my steps." should be " You'll also soon became a wonderful tactician. I'll help you out too."

CLARINE
The tone is very faithful and better than mine but there's quite a few liberties in the content.

"Dear me. Everyone here just won't do! Etiquette is not something to be taken so lightly. You listen well now! Your place as commander means you will become a laughing stock if everyone does not possess manners. Eh? O-of course I'm not saying this because I care about you or anyone else for that matter. [insert name here], there is no other way now, is it? I shall be starting with you and personally teaching you all about good manners. You had better understand what a privilege this is. I am only doing it because it's you."

FELICIA
Same. Just instead of "Don't laugh—it took me 14 tries" it's "Awawa I am telling you it's not a lie. If you think it a trick then here!"

GAIUS
JP Gaius talks more roughly and isn't cheesy so instead of sweet sweet honey it's just honey and there's no marshmallows or cotton candy. The rest is the same.

HAWKEYE
"You...want to talk to me? You are very much an odd one. What? "Not as odd as you". Hm...I see. I live in the desert so perhaps compared to everyone here I am the odd one out. However, my heart who wants to protect the peace of this world beats the same as everyone else's. Just like the yellow sand will keep flowing till eternity so will my feelings remain unchanged. I swear it."

HENRY
Henry's laugh is always a simple ahaha~ instead of nya ha and "You won't die, will you?" should be "I'd especially hate it if you died". The rest is good to go.

KAGEROU
First half (until"to this world.") is fine. Second is different

"Spending time together, talking with you...this was all possible because you worked to build our relationship. You are involved with the command of the entire army so I vow to keep you safe...no, that's not right. Even if you weren't I would still do the same.

LAZWALD
For those worried he does use 仲良く so it can be interpreted as friendship. The mistake is in the "with a smile on my face" part. He's actually saying "I'll do my best fighting so that you can always keep smiling...so make sure to watch me ok?

LILINA
Same but in the end "I hope I'll never lose your kind support. I know you'll never lose mine." should be "I'll do my best so will you support me?"

LIN
It is the same but she actually just compares to you the sacae breeze and doesn't outright calls you precious.

LIZ
"I can't wait for you to find the frog I just hid!" should be "Look, there's a frog in your sleeve...Ahaha, SUCCESS! I'm glad it worked!

LUCINA
Same but for a more literal interpretation the last lines should be "Your kindness and strength are a great help every time. Please let me remain by your side as always.

MARIA
Same but there's a line missing at the end. "I'll really show you how grateful I am"

MINERVA
A small line missing at the end. "With you..."

MICHALIS
"I will follow you and see what else I might gain." should be "I'll humour you and come along for a while."

NARCIAN
"Confidence is king, and I would be emperor!" wasn't in the original and he doesn't explicitly say little kitty but it does convey the same meaning in the end. They preserved his over-the-top tone very well too.

NOWI
Dragonseek is just seek, "I love playing with you" is "I love being with you" and there's also a "pinky promise" at the end.

OBORO
Last line should be "I will definitely keep you safe so your clothes remain pure white for ever"

PIERI
"I've been looking for you! I've got something to give you. Ta-dah! Pieri's homemade cooking! The meat is from an animal Pieri gave a good whack at and then stabbity stabbed it to death. And the vegetables are really fresh you know. Come on eat it eat it! So? Is it good? Yay! Pieri's happy you liked it. Pieri's mother was a good cook and Pieri's her mother's daughter. Pieri's glad she's a good cook too because...Pieri loves you! Pieri will do her best at fighting and at cooking to make you happy!

LINDE
"You are an inspiration to everyone." wasn't in the original

LON'QU
Same until before the bodyguard part. After that it should be:

"I see. So you're talking about a bodyguard? That's cool. Being appreciated for your skill isn't so bad. Besides...somehow I just can't leave you alone. If you want it I'll stay with you. And I won't let you regret it.

ROY
It's not really that big of a deal but he says he wants to learn more from you not that he's already learned it.

SAKURA
"N-no I didn't get hurt today either [insert name here]-san. Thank you for worrying about me. You are the one everyone calls a great hero so I was really nervous at first. But you stayed by my side and now I feel so calm...just like when I'm with my older brothers or sisters. I love the time we spend talking to each other. Pe-perhaps it is selfish of me to ask but could we become even better friends? If you don't mind that is. Hehe, are you nodding "yes"? That's great. I am happy you called me here...from now on I will become someone you can depend on."

THARJA
Same but for full accuracy "Surprising, yet...not. Heehee..." should be "So everything that's happened so far wasn't because of the curse huh?. Hehe, thank you."

SERRA
She's just lamenting over her pearly skin getting ruined not THICK but overall it's not a bad rendition. The tone and meaning is pretty much the same.

SETSUNA
"What? You promise you won't forget about me? What? You never could? Yay. I feel the same. Are you sure we're not the same person? It wouldn't surprise me at all!" should be

"That won't happen? So..am I a little more special than the other heroes to you? That nod now was a yes wasn't it? Yay! You also are a little more special to me. I'm happy we feel the same."

SHARON
"[insert name here]-san! You've come to chat with me? What an honor. Come now, this way! I'm happy cause it seems we've been chatting more and more lately. Um, [insert name here]-san...I really like you. Being colleagues and all is fine but I was thinking if you wanted too maybe we could be frie- What? We already are? Y-YAAAY! *Sniff* I'm so happy I'm tearing up, and my nose is dripping and...I will never forget this day for the rest of my life! I love you the most and I'll always will!"

SOFIA
I love the poetical tone of the translation but the original is shorter and just a tad different.

"Your future is changing. In the beginning I could only make out a vague silhouette much like a thin cloud. However many-many lights started gathering at that place and as it gradually became brighter I could see clearly. I am happy about that. I would be even happier if I too, were just one of those lights around you...Yes from now on I would like to remain by your side and watch over your future."

SULLY
"you still always seem like the biggest deal on the field" should be "it feels like you are protecting us" and in the end she wonders if she can stay near you and thanks you when you nod yes.

STAHL
Just a small line at the end "Let's both keep doing our best together"

TAKUMI
There's an important line missing. After he thanks you he adds: "It's frustrating but...perhaps I'm the one getting attached. I think you'll always be special to me to the point where I won't be able to forget you."

SHANA
"People often say I'm quite a spoiled child but after coming here and fighting with everyone I feel as if I've grown up a little. Ah! You just thought you can't really see anything different now didn't you? Nope, can't convince me otherwise. It's written all over your face you know. But in that case...hehe, I wonder if I should get you to spoil me a little?"

TIKI
For the purists "You're my favourite" should be "I love you"

URSULA
"I wonder if you understand. I require my master to be perfect. I hate half-hearted attempts at pretending to be friends. I am only obeying you because you have superior skills. You possess no fighting power and yet you will definitely not be defeated by anyone. That is my estimation of you. Having said that if I ever start having my doubts about you...well, I do not need to say it now do I? Hehe, so make sure you do your absolute best. So you can be someone worthy of me..."

VIRION
It does fit his tone but "Who can blame you? It is more scintillating than all the rest! wasn't in the original and there's a "Thank you" missing towards the end.

WENDY
"Thank you very much for saving me during the last battle. Still as an armor being protected is a little.. I'm really not playing my part well am I? You think it might be because my armor stand out so much? You're probably right but this way I can draw the enemy's attention from everyone else. Haha, but if I end getting killed then all will be for naught won't it? Um...I was really happy you protected me. Would you...keep doing so?

ZERO
"Another day and you've come to me again huh? You've been really pampering me every day so I feel like I'm swelling with so much power I'll burst. At first I didn't want anything to do with the oh-so-great-summoner but now whenever you're not with me I just don't know what to do. Man, you're really an odd* one. Did you never think that a hero like me could do something bad to you? ...You trust me? A certain someone told me the same thing once. You point those eyes to me now and I won't be able to disobey you. But that's fine, here and now I am yours. Even if you say you don't want me I'll always be by your side...pleasuring you."

*There's an double entendre here too but I couldn't fit it in. The words he uses can also mean sensual/lecherous.
