Have you literally never stepped into the fight? Freaky arrows are to account for the server ticks snapshotting character positions early so they get teleported diagonally. Marker position is because the ranged cone baiter getting clipped by clone drops on even towers is the most common reason for wipes in Forsaken

If SE changes arrows so that players are teleported FROM the MIDDLE of the arrow regardless of where they get server ticked then it makes sense to go back to static tethers. But until then freaky arrows will prevent people from getting fucked by server ticks which they have no control over.
