| NICKNAME(S):
     [ SANTA ] Santiago literally hates this nickname with every fiber of his being yet everyone insists on calling him by it. When people noticed the resemblance between his name and the name of the beloved Christmas icon, they instantly began calling him this no matter how many times he protested against the name.
     [ SHŌ ] This nickname obviously derived from his Japanese name and is something people often call him, if they actually know his Japanese name. He actually likes this nickname and literally just basks in the relief of being called this instead of one of the other stupid nicknames people come up with for him.
     [ SUNG ] This is another nickname that Santiago really likes. It derives from his Korean name and he honestly goes by “Sung” more than he does anything else. He hears “Sung-ah!” and he’s instantly listening, sometimes. Although, if he hears “Santiago!”, “Sunghyo-ah!”, or “Shōhei!” he’ll think he’s about to get scolded for something.
     [ SUNSHINE ] At first, Santiago hated this nickname because he felt like it was meant to be degrading seeing as he’s an omega. Although, when he realized people weren’t being malicious when calling him this, he grew fond of it and will answer to it as if he never used to square up to people who called him that.
     [ TREE / TREE-CHAN ] Santiago understands that he got this nickname because he’s tall as hell but it doesn’t mean he likes it. It’s been far too often that people get into the habit of calling him this instead of his name. While he’s alright with people calling him this occasionally, he doesn’t like when it happens too often and finds it a bit offending. He would honestly give anything to be shorter.      SANTIAGO HAS ALWAYS been a lot more talkative than what society expects yet still holds a gentleness only an omega can have. He’s very outspoken and opinionated, not taking too kindly to people when they try to shut him down. He never lets himself go unheard and makes sure to let people know that he won’t allow himself to be pushed around. Being tall has helped a lot with that since most people think he’s an alpha or beta. Additionally, he has a lot more energy than he lets on and it often helps to fuel his unfiltered ramblings. Despite his seemingly gentle and easygoing persona, he is actually a lot more short tempered than people would expect. He’s someone who gets frustrated and stressed out quite easily by the smallest of things, whether it be his hyungs being to loud or not being able to get something right after trying numerous times. It’s actually a bit scary because he usually just bottles in his negative emotions and his initial reaction to them overflowing is to find a release, usually physical.
     THIS TALL OMEGA is not-so-secretively an emotional person who thrives off of social interaction. Santiago grew up in a fairly large family in which the household was never silent. He was used to constant noise and constant conversation so moving into the dorms was a huge change for him at first. Let’s just say that prolonged silence and solitude makes him extremely uncomfortable. He loves being around his group members and will do anything to be included in whatever they’re doing. This makes him come off as extremely pushy and, well, he is. He doesn’t like being excluded just because he’s the youngest and makes a conscious effort to act in such a way that will make his hyungs see him as a man, an adult like them, and not as the group’s maknae. He bottles up a lot of his emotions though and tries to hide all of the things that bother him. The last thing he wants is to burden his friends, his only friends. While he does have his fair share of anger issues, Santiago is otherwise quite sensitive and feels hurt when he’s left out of things or is yelled at. Keep in mind, when he does breakdown into a mess of anger and tears, he never fails to apologize shamefully afterwards. He hates looking weak in front of others since he feels it only solidifies his rank as an omega.
     SANTIAGO IS TALKATIVE yet quiet all at the same time. He’s all for jumping into a conversation to give his dollar worth of opinion, not just two cents, though he’s not big on starting conversations himself. He’s never been good at breaking the ice and would only end up making it more awkward for everyone. He is a very stubborn guy and this is shown when it comes to starting conversations or being told to do something he doesn’t want to do. He just outright refuses to do it. This often pisses people off because he never fails to have an extremely defiant expression on his face with his arms and/or legs crossed. The sarcasm is strong in this one despite his usual easygoing image. His generally unfiltered words are paired with natural sass, that he didn’t know he possessed, and finely tuned sarcasm, which have both gotten him into some sticky situations with particularly egotistic and easily offended alphas and betas with superiority complexes. Sometimes he just doesn’t know when to stop running his mouth and there’s been situations in which he’s offended people, both strangers and his friends. He doesn’t exactly mean to. He just never thinks before he speaks.
     SANTIAGO MAY BE one hundred percent omega but he’s also one hundred percent done with practically being ostracized for it, especially since he can’t control what sub-gender he was born as. While people don’t mess with him often because of his height, he still gets shit for his sub-gender. Once people get over the initial shock of him not being an alpha or beta, they’re all for throwing degrading slurs though at a distance, just in case. Although, Santiago never fails to stand up for himself though you won’t see him doing that for any omega outside of his friend group seeing as, in his eyes, they’ll never be able to break free from society’s view of them if they’re cowards and pushovers. He may not look his sub-gender but he is still very much an omega and still very much an advocate against the way omegas are treated.

| BACKGROUND:
     DISCRIMINATION, A WORD Santiago Na-Ogiwa is all too familiar with. Not only has he faced discrimination for being biracial, though it’s not super obvious, but for also being an omega, two things that he has no control over. He was born to an influential couple in Tokyo, Japan, a beta father and an alpha mother. Adrian Ogiwa and Na Jinha were a couple no one had expected would actually end up together. Alpha females at that time had typically been drawn to and paired with other alphas, society telling them that it was necessary to preserve alpha bloodlines despite the parents’ ranks having little to do with their child’s sub-gender. Jinha, having moved away from her family’s home in Busan as soon as she graduated high school, decided she didn’t want to follow that trend and married Adrian, a Japanese-Hispanic beta she met in college. The couple had their first child two years into their marriage, happily raising him and, later on, his siblings in their modest home in Tokyo. Life went on in the Na-Ogiwa family. With two alpha children and one beta, life was normal and easygoing. This all lasted until Santiago was born and presented as an omega.
     SANTIAGO HAD A great early childhood. With the parents and older siblings who all adored him, it’s safe to say that he was pampered. This didn’t change even when his younger sister was born. He was always a particularly cute and, frankly, pretty child and it was hard to not fall in love with his chubby cheeks and pouty lips. While his abnormally pretty looks should’ve raised the suspicion of the truth of his sub-gender, his family remained oblivious to the possibility of this beautiful boy being an omega, believing he’d turn out as an alpha or beta like his siblings. When Santiago reached the age of ten, the age when the children usually presented, it’s safe to say his parents and siblings were extremely shocked to find out of that their perfect little prince was an omega. The oblivious child continued on as he always had, blind to the difference in the way his family acted around him: cautious and reluctant.
     WHILE SANTIAGO KNEW very well that he was omega, seeing as he’d been told more than once, he didn’t exactly know what it entailed. As far as he was concerned, he wasn’t any different than his parents and siblings. They’re all equal people, right? Wrong. He wasn’t, by any means, a tall kid and was actually quite scrawny and petite. This, along with his rank as an omega, made him a favorite target of his classmates who were bigger than him and of a higher ranking sub-gender. He would often return home with bruises and scratches from where he was hit or pushed and hungry from his lunch being stolen. He suffered through this until middle school, where he had a major growth spurt, though the damage from the bullies had already been done. Having been raised to be friendly and kind, Santiago instinctively bottled up his negative emotions and was never able to stand up for himself, his mother’s words ringing in his mind every time he was about to snap back at the mean kids. This all changed the summer before middle school began.
     ADRIAN AND JINHA has been planning to move to South Korea for months, maybe even years, and talked about it often so it was no surprise to Santiago and his siblings when they finally announced they were moving. Santiago didn’t have but one or two friends so he wasn’t too torn up about compared to his siblings. In fact, he was excited. He had hope that the kids would be nicer to him, especially since he’d hit his growth spurt and was taller than a lot of the other guys in his class group. As the Na-Ogiwa family finished up packing the final boxes and getting them on the way to Korea, Santiago’s bottled up emotions finally burst and it wasn’t pretty.
     A GROUP OF kids who usually bullied him, some of them his age and others older, were roaming around his neighborhood as he was outside with his older brother, Rafael, and his younger sister, Abigail. Rafael left Santiago to his own devices so he could help Abigail, who was on the porch, with her drawing so he just occupied himself by sitting in the small yard with a book in hand. The group had, to his misfortune, spotted him and instantly approached him with degrading slurs and taunts, none of them aware that the omega sitting on the ground had grown to be taller than most them. The kid who had the nerve to bend down and snatch his book from his hands, Takano Yū, had no clue what was coming for him. As soon as the book was out of Santiago’s hands, his nervous grin left his lips and averted eyes became glaring and dark. He stood up but didn’t give any of them enough time to react to his new height before he lunged for the unsuspecting Takano Yū, tackling him to the ground before proceeding to beat the shit out of him. With every single punch, Santiago was screaming “I am not weak!”, punching him at every word. The other boys were too shocked to do anything, not even getting much of a chance seeing as Rafael was running towards them with their older brother, Emilio, barreling from the house to help. Let’s just say that when a built alpha male is coming at you with his beta younger brother, who’s just as muscular, you don’t stick around. They group ran. Rafael peeled Santiago away from his unconscious victim though the young omega was kicking and screaming the same mantra he repeated as he beat up Takano Yū. Santiago honestly doesn’t really remember much from that iconic moment in his life other than he felt so angry and punching the kid’s face in made him feel a little better; it made him feel like maybe he wasn’t so inferior to higher ranking sub-genders.
     THE KID ENDED up having to go to the hospital and remained unconscious for a day afterwards, suffering from a broken nose, busted lip, two black eyes, and a small concussion. Various bruises scattered the kids face but he got out pretty okay. Luckily, Santiago’s parents were able to convince Takano Yū’s parents not to press charges or anything after he explained why he did so and all of the prior events that led to it. While Santiago was off the hook from the kid’s parents, he certainly was not off the hook with his own parents. They, mainly his mother, scolded him so badly for what he’d done that his sensitive little heart couldn’t take it and he ended up crying. The alpha woman felt bad for making her only omega child, at the time, cry so she ended up comforting him and telling him that it was okay. Although, both of his parents were very serious in trying to find a good emotional outlet for him as soon as they moved to Korea in order to avoid another incident.
     THAT WAS HOW Santiago got into dancing. He saw a street dancer performing while he was roaming the city with Rafael and their older sister, Olivia, and he instantly became addicted to it. He hardly had to beg to take dance classes before his parents were signing him up for a membership at a dance studio and taking him to classes there most days of the week. As time progressed, he got better and better at dancing. By the time high school started, he was well-respected throughout the studio for his skill and often received praise for it, some people urging him to go to a performing arts high school. That dance studio was one of the few places he was able to be without people discriminating him for being an omega. Hell, two of his dance instructors were omegas. As his dancing got better, he began developing another skill: rapping. He got into the habit of singing and rapping along with the song he was dancing to, mainly because it helped him better than counting. While his singing is debatably okay, his rapping got to be pretty good and he soon found himself rapping even outside the dance studio. After a while, Olivia began to get annoyed with the constant noise from her younger brother and dragged him all the way to an entertainment company that she had heard was holding open auditions (“If you’re gonna make noise, do it on stage you annoying brat.”). Santiago honestly had tried to run from her as she dragged him into the company and signed him up for auditions. He did not want to embarrass himself in front of all of those people with actual talent. Hell, he doubted they would even consider him as Olivia filled in his sub-gender on the form. An omega in the KPOP industry? No way. Never in a million years would Santiago have thought that he’d be in that position.
     THANKS TO SANTIAGO’s stubborn alpha sister, the seventeen-year-old was soon awkwardly standing in a crowded dance studio with at least twenty other people and trying to seem confident yet also not making eye contact with the judges as they asked him questions. It was easily the most embarrassing moment in his entire life. His dancing came out fairly well seeing as his sister chose a song she knew he liked dancing to. The same can’t be said for his rapping. He stumbled a few times, to his utter humiliation, but made it through without messing it up too badly. He was more than happy to leave that cramped studio and get back to his smug older sister in the lobby of the company. He trudged behind Olivia all the way home and didn’t make another sound for two days straight in fear she’d drag him to another entertainment company. He bounced back to his usual self after those two days but he still remained cautious around Olivia. A few weeks later, a phone call came through. Somehow, Santiago had made it to the next round of auditions. After that, it was one call after another until the final round finished and the final call was made to inform him he’d made it into MXM Entertainment’s trainee program.

     POUTY, CLINGY, WHINY, ETC. | Whenever Santiago is tired, he singlehandedly becomes the most annoying yet adorable person ever. He clings to the nearest person with pout decorating his full lips as he whines about being tired. While this can get pretty annoying, not many people have the heart to tell him to shut up because he’s also really fucking adorable when he’s like this. So, in order to get him finally shut up, whoever he clings to is on “babysitting” duty and gets to console him until he dozes off or until they find a way to make him not tired. He got this habit from his early child whenever his parents and older siblings would hold him as he went to sleep. It became a mindset that if he clung to someone, they’d let him sleep.
     BITES/CHEWS ON HIS BOTTOM LIP | Santiago, as stated, is a very emotional and sensitive person despite how much he tries to bottle it all up and hide it from everyone. He doesn’t do well when people are upset with him or stressed because of him and ultimately ends up biting and/chewing on his bottom lip. It’s an anxious habit brought on by all the times he was bullied as a kid. Every time he even thought his bullies were close by, his lip would be between his teeth in seconds.
     PLAYING WITH PEOPLE’S HAIR | Whenever Santiago is bored, he targets the first group member he finds and plays with his hair. It was a little weird at first but his group have gotten relatively used to randomly feeling hands in their hair before they end up with a small ponytail. A lot of times they don’t mind since having their hair played with can be a comforting/relaxing thing for most people. This habit came from when he’d play with his mom’s and older sister’s hair as a kid. He’d always wanted long hair to style himself.

| HOBBIES:
     COLLECTING JOURNALS | Whenever Santiago sees a journal he doesn’t have, he buys it. His dad got him into journals as a kid because he’d always write his thoughts in them, telling Santiago that it was a good way to vent yet also record moments from your life. After that, he was hooked on them and writes in one daily. He also writes little letters to people in these journals but he would never willingly show those people the letters he’s written.
     TRYING DIY PROJECTS | Let’s just get one thing straight, Santiago is surprisingly amazing at anything to do with arts and crafts. No one knows where it came from but it sure as hell wasn’t passed down from either of his parents. He loves trying DIY projects whenever he has free time and his group members love it because they end up with something new that helps them make everyday life easier and less disorganized.
     WORKING OUT | Ever since that day Santiago beat up that kid, he’s been roped into working out with his older brothers. At first he didn’t want anything to do with it. Sweating a lot was not his ideal activity but Emilio and Rafael wouldn’t let him not do it. Eventually, he grew a particularly liking to working out and stopped complaining every single time, later beginning to work out by himself whenever he changed his routine to fit himself. He continues working out as often as he can even now and will try to drag his group members into doing so with him.

| TALENTS:
     (?) REALLY GOOD AT ARTS AND CRAFTS | Santiago can look at a picture of something and be able to make it without any instructions. He’s scarily good at this kind of stuff and will often make stuff for his group members if he has nothing else to do. He always buys new arts and crafts stuff every time they go on a shopping run so he doesn’t run low on material.
     (?) GREAT MEMORY | Santiago can and will remember anything he’s told, anything he’s seen, or anything he feels. It’s honestly creepy when you think about it but also amazing. It really comes in handy when someone asks him to remember something but, keep in mind, he is also surprisingly forgetful and won’t remember shit unless he someone gives him a good reason to. He’s really good at that game where he has to guess his members by the feel of their hand, arm, etc.
     EXTREMELY FLEXIBLE | Okay, this is more of a skill but Santiago is extremely flexible. He suspects it’s from his years of dancing but, no, it’s completely natural. He’s always been able to do the splits effortlessly as well as do various other bendy boi tricks. It’s often that he’ll just do the splits in the dorm while watching TV or laying in a position that requires his level of flexibility.

| TRIVIA:
     - Whenever Santiago had his first heat, his only two beta family members, his dad and older brother, Rafael, stayed with him since they’re not affected by his pheromones. It was hell though for them to watch him be in such a state of frustration and pain. It was even worse when they realized his suppressants weren’t working, which led to the discovery that his heat is a lot stronger than normal.
     - Santiago is the biggest cuddler. He honestly thrives off of skinship and isn’t shy about picking up or hugging his group members. His group members joke that the only reason that he works out is so that he can give the best hugs because, admittedly, he does.
     - So, it’s in an omega’s nature to “nest”, which is basically building a temporary, makeshift “nest” of blankets and pillows and just things that are comforting to the omega(s). Well, Santiago does this a lot and will highkey scold his non-omega group members who try to bundle up with him in the organized yet homey pile of softness without permission. He has to give his permission to his non-omega group members if they want to join him in his nest, which he often does because he likes cuddling.
     - Santiago kicks ass every time he plays any version of Just Dance and KPOP random dance games. People, minus SLOT 5, almost stopped playing with him altogether because he’s tough competition during these two games but he always makes empty promises to go easy on them (which has never happened).
     - Santiago completely believes he’s never going to get married seeing as he thinks he’s probably the least desirable omega in existence. People want a short, petite omega with the typical submissive behavior. People want an omega with who’s everything he isn’t. He learned to accept this a long time ago so he just goes on with life as usual, acting as if that reality doesn’t hurt seeing as having a family of his own is something he’s always wanted.
     - Santiago’s hands get cold very easily so he’ll randomly stick his hands under one of group members shirts, partially to warm them yet mostly to mess with that person. He loves getting a reaction from his group members and he usually does so by shocking them with his cold hands.
     - When Santiago’s little brother, Julian, presented as an omega, he immediately took an indefinite break from his training to be there for him. He walked him to and from school to make sure he wasn’t getting bullied and stayed with him through his first heat. He still calls him every single day to make sure he’s doing okay and is always bragging about him to his group members, telling them all of his newest achievements.
     - Santiago is bisexual but he tends to lean more towards men because he would never date an alpha woman considering his alpha older sister totally ruined that prospect for him with her pushiness. He’s not sure about beta women but, for now, he has decided to exclusively stick to men.
     - Despite popular belief, Santiago is not a virgin though he’s only ever had sex once. Not to mention, he was drunk of his ass with a few other trainees, one of them being the guy he slept with. If he’s being honest, he has no clue who it was or what happened exactly but it’s not like he cares all that much. What’s done is done. The way he looks at it, at least he didn’t end up pregnant or mated to someone.
     - Santiago doesn’t hate small dogs or anything. In fact, he actually likes them quite a lot whenever he’s holding them. His dislike for them though stems from the fact that they’re so tiny and, well, he’s not. He’s always super scared he’ll step on a small dog so he avoids them as much as possible and puts enough distance between them and him so that he’s not a threat to the poor little creatures.
     - Santiago hates being left out of stuff and always makes sure to invite himself to his hyungs’ conversations or to go wherever they are going. It’s just that he has never had many friends growing up and now that he has five of them, he wants them to like him so he involves himself in their activities as much as possible. While this can get really annoying considering he invited himself, no one has said anything about it, yet.
     - This tall omega honestly has little to no experience (?) with the concepts of personal space and alone time. He’s always in his group members’ space and hardly gives them enough time to themselves. Not to mention, he’s touchy. As I said, this boy thrives off of skinship and has no qualms against fulfilling his need for skinship with his group members. His uncanny ability to rob his group members of their personal space and alone time is something else that can be quite annoying but, again, no one has said anything against it, yet.
     - Santiago has a pretty good memory but only when he has a good reason to remember. Because of this, one of his group members, most likely the mom of the group, has to keep up with his heat cycle and when exactly he needs to start his suppressants since he always forgets when it is despite the importance of knowing. It’s not that he doesn’t care or anything. It’s just that it’s such a constant in his life that he just doesn’t always remember that, yeah, once every month, he goes into heat.

[PART 3 :: HANDS UP]

— OMEGA

| Have they ever been in a situation where an alpha kept provoking them?:
     Yes, numerous times. Most of them were when he was a kid and lived in Japan. A group of kids, alphas and pretentious betas alike, repeatedly taunted and provoked him. Later in life, after his family’s move to South Korea, Santiago faced a few other situations in which he was provoked by an alpha. The most significant of these was when he got his first part-time job. Long story short, he lost his job because he beat up a particularly handsy alpha coworker.

| Are they the type to not cower in place during a dangerous situation and actually step up and defend themselves?:
     Santiago cowering? Never. He wouldn’t back down when it comes to facing a potentially dangerous situation. While he usually has a gentle and goofy disposition, he is always ready to fight or confront anyone who tries to mess with him. Whenever his emotions burst, he needs a physical outlet so he’s not against punching the hell out of anyone who evokes those negative emotions from him.

| Do they think all alphas are "bad?":
     Absolutely not. His mother, older brother, and older and younger sisters are all alphas and none of them have ever given him a reason to have any fear of alphas. To this day, he doesn’t really have a fear of alphas. It’s more of a caution because he’s aware of what they are capable of, especially when faced with an omega in heat.

[PART 4 :: MOONDANCE]

| Did any negative situations happen during their trainee years? If so, please describe.:
     Santiago, surprisingly enough, only ever experienced one negative situation while he was a trainee. The company had always been good at making sure tensions between sub-genders were kept to an all time low and he even had a few alpha friends. Although, there were some alphas and betas who were still bitter about having to get along with lower-ranking sub-genders. There was an incident in which he and two of his beta co-trainees, their relationship nothing more than like classmates, were cornered by a few alphas and a beta. Long story short, Santiago and one of the betas fought back while the other fled for help. Luckily, the CEO was understanding of what happened and he and the other beta didn’t get in much trouble for the damage they’d done to their attackers.

     Onstage, a new version of Santiago is unlocked. Gone is his gentle and sweet personality, being replaced with undeniable charm and intensity that often has fans swooning. He acts even less like an omega onstage and, I mean, everyone thinks it’s hot as hell. He always has this look in his eyes and a smirk on his lips that just captures everyone’s attention, his good looks also playing a huge part in this.

| SUGGESTED SCENES:
     - Santiago does his usual inviting himself to go somewhere or participate in a conversation/activity but, this time, someone finally snaps and says something harsh about it. He just kinda does that thing where he bites his lip and looks down to avoid their gazes, his excitement in being included becoming nonexistent and he just completely deflates and tries to make himself look smaller under their gazes. He just sits there for a few moments and, when the person who snapped at him goes to apologize, he mumbles a quick sorry before leaving the room and going back to his room before he could cry in front of them. He ends up locking himself away for a while, taking that chance to make a nest as he sulked, but, when he finally left the room, he had “stress crafted” a bunch of new stuff out of guilt as an apology for barging into everything.
     - They all go out to eat, maybe at a Korean BBQ place, and the waiter or waitress completely assumes all, or most, of their sub-genders and proceeds to state that “The omegas should always be the one cooking for everyone. That’s all they’re good for anyways other than sex.”. The funny thing is, it’s an alpha who is cooking the meat on the grill on the table. Yeah, let’s just say that particular waiter/waitress didn’t return to the table after the backlash they got from the group.
     - They’re doing a VApp, on a show, at a fanmeet, or are just doing an interview in which they answer all the questions fans have for them seeing as a lot of people are gonna have a lot of questions.

| ANYTHING ELSE?:
     To sum him up, he bottles his emotions and makes people think he’s just a gentle, goofy, and smiley person and also loud, witty, and talkative. His group members all know and see that he’s over-emotional and hides a lot but they let him believe that they don’t know. Under his facade, he’s sensitive and just wants love and affection and reassurance that he’s not just defined by his sub-gender.
     He loves every single one of his siblings but he has a rocky relationship with his younger sister because she has the typical mindset that alphas should always be superior to omegas and betas. He’s the closest to his little brother, Julian, and his youngest older brother, Rafael. He keeps in contact with them the most and tries to get them to visit whenever they can, using important dates (concerts, family fanmeets, etc.) to get them to do so.
     He does have a really, really strong heat so his pheromones are a lot more active than usual. By that, I mean that he’s constantly letting them off though the heat pheromones are, of course, only during his heat. His pheromones change in scent depending on his mood. If he’s happy or relaxed or, perhaps, aroused or in love, then his pheromones give off these vibes. If he’s upset or scared, his pheromones will give off those emotions. It’s a win-lose situation. It’s a lose for him because everyone knows what his actual feelings are no matter how hard he tries to physically hide it, whether he knows this or not. It’s a win for his group members because they know his true feelings and get to know a little more about what he feels, choosing to either take action to adjust his mood or to tease him for certain moods, if y’know what I mean.
