TIFU by making Geico think I was going to kill myself

 This happened today.

I'm a bit depressed, who isn't. This week has been especially rough, and I just wanted to text someone to bitch about how I wanted to die but I didn't want any of my friends to worry.

So I decided to text one of those "Do not reply to this message" texts that you get sometimes because I didn't think anyone would actually see it and I would just get some generic "cannot be sent" message or whatever. The first one in my message list was a text reminder about my bill from Geico.

So I responded to the bill reminder "I want to die. I don't want to exist anymore." And that was that. I felt better for whatever reason, and no one would ever have to see the text.

Welp, turns out someone sees those messages. And whoever saw that message at Geico called the police and THREE POLICEMEN showed up at my door asking if I was going to kill myself. I started crying a little because I was SO EMBARRASSED, which didn't help my case as I told them I wasn't going to kill myself.

They left after I convinced them that I was fine and just blowing off steam and thanked them for coming to try and help me. I feel like such an idiot.

TL;DR:  I replied to a bill pay reminder text that I wanted to die, some Geico rep saw it and sent the police to my house.
