- A red haired young girl named Jessica grew up in California and she had to admit, it was a nice life before her parents got a divorce when she was around twelve. She did like her school and childhood friends that she shared cherished memories with. When she got the news that she and her father were going to be moving to , Arcadia Bay, Oregon, she refused to go. "Dad, why do we have to move over there? The state does sound boring." She pouted in her father's face with a huff. He looked at her and rolled her eyes, as though he did not pay attention to her at first. He did need to move down there since he found a better job that did better pay than his current job. "Listen, Jessica. Daddy needs the money since your mother and I divorced. Ever since she found that new man, we need to get away from her and her boyfriend." Jessica was shocked to her that. Her idol, out of all people, would do such a thing like that. She and her would do things together when she was little and now she broke the sacrament of marriage. She felt sad, disgraced, and most of all, just shocked.
- Few weeks later when packing, she packed her photos of her and her mother together secretly so, her father would not see. She personally would imagine her mother regretting her mistake and move to Oregon with the rest of her family. She said a silent prayer before packing a bit more. She packed some more clothes and her laptop, including phone so, she would have everything ready.
- The last week of her being in California went by really quickly and she took more pictures with her cell phone so, she could have some memories of her hometown before her and her father head off to Arcadia Bay, Oregon. She knew that she had to go to a new school, meet new friends, and of course, get used to her new setting. She was going to miss California, a lot. So, this was going to be a new adventure.
- From ages thirteen through eighteen, many things had happened throughout her life in Arcadia Bay, Oregon. She had to go through two years of middle school, including dance school and she surprisingly liked it. She did run into bullies here and there, but she knew on how to fight back thanks to her mother's advice on how to fight as a young woman. When she attended Blackwell Academy at fifteen as a freshman, she at first did not like it because of the homework she was getting, and it was a lot compared to her middle school experience. She did meet new friends but there was more drama between cliques than anything.
- The next three years at the academy did get better for the red-haired young woman. There was a photography class taught by Mr. Jefferson and although he was tough, he still did give out good lessons on the history of photography and the assignments were pretty fun to do. She did become part of club called "The Vortex Club" when she turned eighteen. For her eighteenth birthday, she got some really great gifts such as her mother breaking up with her boyfriend and returning to the family and a car. Although she did get her permit at sixteen, she mainly had to drive with her dad and took buses to and from places. She not only started to feel independent, but also glad that her father was able to save up that money for her new car.
- Although being in Oregon felt great, there were some negatives. One major one was Rachel's disappearance that happened not too long ago. She was seeing her face on many "missing girl posters" all around town. This girl on the poster did look really sweet and did remember seeing her face briefly while being in the Vortex Club. She did remember her blonde hair, but her face, she could not recall. She felt as though a young and innocent girl, like her should not be in such danger.
- While walking back from the store to get school supplies for senior year approaching, she passed another poster with Rachel's face on it and she gave out a small shake with a sigh. "Poor girl. Hope she'll be here soon." She said to herself, with a look of concern, hoping that she'll be safe with her family again. She returned back home to her parents' home and started to get ready for the new year approaching. She knew that senior year was going to be really fast and also knew that she would miss this school and friends she made, the great relationships she had with the teachers, and best of all, being a Vortex member. Although she's currently a V.I.P member of the club, she'll continue to attend the club and at the same time, make it though another year with rooming and being with students at the academy; this year will be missed once graduation approaches.
