  2. this actually reminds me. You've probably thought of this before, if like me in the briefest moments thought "let them have their cake and eat it too, with some restrictions"
  3. there is a way to permit the use of A.I. image generation ethically, but still allowing 'some' of the people to make money.
  4. Back when I was like, 14? it was common practice to purchase 'Music Libraries' themed packages of Sounds and Music that, with proof of purchase and or receipt would allow you to broadcast in your own programs audio or video and modify the audio as you liked. in some cases arbitration wasn't even required, as far as the original seller was concerned, they got paid and it was still a product of better quality than you (the buyer) could ever produce anyway, which is why you were buying it in the first place. If there was something like this for these A.I. systems, and the practice was normalized, it wouldn't be good, but I think it would make a lot of people happier. and it could be a great source of revenue for many artists struggling to establish a sales turnaround for some of their older works. and for people like Sakimichan, it would be an opportunity to lift their feet of the gas and maybe still make some cash.
  5. like imagine this scenario "oh woe is me, I want to make art like Masashi Kishomoto, but I'm a moron with more money than sense"
  6. enter the kid who has spent years learning to draw, just from Naruto
  7. "hey man I have a Naruto Art pack tailored for A.I. use. for $29.99 your wildest ninja dreams can be made true."
  8. but I'm sure you've heard of this idea already, it's not exactly novel, and the only reason it isn't happening is because if you wanted to play at being a filthy disgusting capitalist and monopolize the market, you "cant" afford to pay thousands of artists for exclusive licensing of their art, and you risk being immediately shuttered out of the market by hobbyist packs being sold cheap on itch.io.
  9. Would it be the death of the piccrew? No, piccrews are free.
  10. it's a nice idea of what could be, yet another cutthroat market, ripped to shreds by the openness of the internet,
  11. rather than things being upturned by the flooding of the market with low effort garbage.
  12. but unfortunately without Governmental intervention, doing the ethical thing is a step too far starting a business nowadays (or so it would seem),
  13. it's much easier to just steal images from artists.
