Water is essential for life.
The management and protection of fresh and salt water ecosystems, and of the water we drink and bathe in therefore protects us from drought and ensures freshwater conservation.

If we put an object in the bath, there is a lot of water wastage. The water must cover the entire rectangular surface before it is filled from the bottom of the bath to the top.

Here, less water is used due to the bath modifying itself to the input shape.












This is the same for more complex shapes. Here is a real-life example, where the outline of the mass is specific to whichever shape is put into the area. A more specific shape means that water is conserved. Input from materials science required to ensure a water barrier between the object and  bath surface.








A bioplastic cover over the simple mechanism makes it waterproof. A cover such as a wrap or vacuum type wrap may also be an alternative to the pin array design suggested.

The array pin design only moves vertically and not horizontally, additional horizontal pins would be required to accommodate for 3-dimensional movement within the area.
