Responses to various Californithon things from Final Split

 - Californithon was a working title that sorta just stuck. I may or may not slightly regret it, but this is where we are.
 - hearing Spike eagerly talk about how good the schedule looks with such excitement made me kind of speechless. that's been the exact reaction I've wanted people to have from the marathon's conception
 - Darkman "Cali runners don't really talk to each other" all it took was a twitter group and somewhat relentless attention-getting :^)
 - re: golden "doing something different" I, as well as the other people helping to organize the marathon, wanted the absolute top priority of the schedule to be "is it fun to watch"? not *necessarily* spotlighting a community, not *necessarily* getting only the hypest games or the most popular people, not *necessarily* getting only the best runners (i'm running yoshi ffs lol), but although we've been lucky in those regards, the top priority was always "is it fun to watch", whether that was the game, the category/run, or simply the runner(s). I like to think we've made something truly special.

 - I've had the help of some of the most incredible people I've ever met. Vulajin, Duke, MeGotsThis, Cresentrend, Shasta, Intercom, and everyone else who's given any help at all, even down to a simple suggestion or piece of advice, I can't possibly thank them enough for the help they've been providing and are continuing to provide.

Seriously, thank you so much for bringing up the marathon. Ask me literally anything you want about it, I will be MORE than happy to provide any and all information you could want. It means so much that you guys are not only yourselves excited for it, but hearing you talk about all the excitement you've seen surrounding it makes me awestruck. This event has far surpassed any expectations I could have ever had, and it hasn't even happened yet. The fact that we're being so recognized as such a momentous thing is kind of... it's incredible to say the least.

Thank you again for your kind words and genuine excitement. I look forward to giving you and everyone else the very best marathon I can give.
