1st off AUSA  had nothing to do w it
but ya im a veteran
so i have ptsd with disassociative symptoms with a 100% rating
100% ptsd rating is super rare. only for the worst cases. i wander the streets when it gets bad. cops know me. cops sometimes have to bring me home. all LEO in my town is aware of my situation. i've been hospitalized for it many times
(the backstory here is kinda important/relevant)
i also was an MP & have major trust issues with police because of things that happened when i was an MP(military police)
the police also know this
so 2016
this new cop is working as a district sergeant in my city
doesn't know me
doesn't know my deal
he stops me one day when im out having problems & he gives me a really hard time
like really hard
threatens to take me in & everything
his backup shows up & they talk & I guess he explained to the new guy the deal
they take me home it's over
well i didn't like that
so i found out where he lives
(super easy to find in NC)
took pictures of his little girl getting off hte school bus
& left it for him
he comes to see me & questions me about it
because i was an MP, i'm not fully aware of all laws like you probably are, or most anyway, but i know how to answer questions & say certain things in a threatening way but it be able to get away with it, kinda
so i say something along the lines of
do you really think it's smart to bully someone who has nothing to live for, no friends, no family, no real hobbies, has been on numerous deployments, and knows where you live, and when your daughter gets home from school? I'm not threatening you. I'm not stupid. But one day you're going to do what you're doing right now to someone in that same situation I explained to you, and it's going to be a big mistake"
something like that
he says something stupid like
"Do you wanna get arrested? Do you wanna go to prison for a long time? I'd watch what you say"
so i stupidly say something like
"Does it matter? They won't lock me up forever. And what do you think happens when i get out? My life would be totally destroyed. You think I'd just let bygones be bygones?"

the police chief then visits me
with the mayor

they come inside & we talk about how i can't talk to people like that

a week later the FBI visits me
they question mea bout it
i act like i had no idea what they're talking about
they leave
that's the end of that
police chief did tell me, that the sergeant over my sector of hte city would not bother me again

how police repeaters for their scanners work, how shift changes work, how to check response times, how to listen to broadcasts online, all that

my cousin has schizophrenia
like super bad
so at hte time i'm talking to him about all this
trying to see how he'd feel about a killing spree

so i'm explaining to my cousin how easy it would be to kill people in my city
on the days where they only have so many police
which ones can run
which can't
how easy it'd be to do a fake domestic call on one side of town
put cell jammers at that house
hit repeaters
then do ur killing spree or whatever
well my cousin isn't having it
he reports me to the FBI
fbi visits me literally next day
asks me if i said these things
ask me if i asked my cousin to kill people with me
i say no
they say

they leave

so they arrest me
take me to buncombe county detention facility
its a federal holding facility
i was there for 5 months
should have left first month
lemme explain why
so my lawyer visits me
my federal lawyer
he was great
genius
so he visits me
tells me this shouldn't have happened
it is borderline thought crime policing
so i'm there for idk 5 days
i go to my first hearing or whatever
its basically to explain to me what happened
what im being charged with
terrorism & communicating threats in interstate commerce, with intent to kidnap & kill women/children
i said something about a daycare
& they had my search history
go back like 5 fucking years
& found a daycare/church
fuck me, right?
anyway
5 more days go by
this was like a release hearing or something
my lawyer says to me
