A-TEC Explained

GFC is not finishing the duel because he is trying to get a specific rank called A-TEC. In Forbidden Memories, there are SABCD-POW ranks, and there are SABCD-TEC ranks. You start every duel with 50 points, and what you do during that duel determines whether or not you gain or lose points. Each type of rank occurs in a certain range of points. Having 90+ points gives you S-POW, having 80-89 gives you A-POW, and so on down the line. Once you hit D-POW (50-59), it begins the TEC ranks. D-TEC is 40-49, C-TEC is 30-39, and so on. There are three pools of cards you can win from on every duelist: S/A-POW, BCD-POW/TEC, and S/A-TEC. I am trying to get an A-TEC in this duel to win cards from the S/A-TEC pool, which contain cards that are extremely good and cannot be obtained on other ranks. So, in order to get A-TEC rank, I need to do things throughout the duel that SUBTRACT points from those 50 starting points. To do this, I will do some of the following:

- Get 15+ fusions
- Take 1K+ damage
- Use an equip
- Use a trap
- Play 1 card face down
- [Use 4 magics] OR [Perform 4 effective attacks (attacking and killing an attack-mode monster) and use 1 magic]
- Have 3 or less cards left in my deck at the end of the duel
- 9 turns have to pass throughout the duel (usually happens without having to be thought about)

By satisfying these requirements, I am assured to get the A-TEC rank.
