FFV - Omniscient Solo Berserker

So here's an interesting thing about Omniscient. I attempted to defeat him with just a solo Berserker and a Mage Masher. In theory, I needed 19 silence-procs from the Mage Masher in a row. With 1/3 odds for each proc, it's a ridiculously low chance of occurring to begin with. But since Omniscient casts "Reset" (Which resets the entire battle) every time the silence does not hit, you just have to let the game run for long enough to eventually have a positive result, right? With perfectly random randomness, the answer would be "Yes". But in practice it's different.

If I just let it run - it will seemingly always produce the same results after some time, resulting in a 3-reset-loop that looks the exact same every time.

You know how you more or less always land in the same loop of pages when you go to Wikipedia and always click on the first link - almost regardless of which page you start on? I think that seems to be a similar phenomenon here.

So... While in theory, with enough repetitions after its resets (spells) it will result in success... In practice it doesn't, since the RNG is not truly random. It's still not impossible for the 19 silence-procs to occur in theory, however you would need to start the battle with Omniscient with the correct starting-RNG in the first place... Assuming the correct sequence of numbers can possibly be produced by the FF5-RNG-generator. No clue about that one.
