Schematic Guide

(The sun emerges over the early morning through a windowpane. Inside, we see our main character stretching as he wakes up from his sleep. Yawning slightly, he gets out of bed and goes to the restroom. After some time passes, he steps out of the room fully dressed and walks to the kitchen.)

In the kitchen we see one of the female members of the group preparing breakfast. She smiles at him, and greets her with a slightly nonchalant “Morning.”

After a while cooking, she serves the MC breakfast. Several other characters begin to pour out from their bedrooms, and she serves them breakfast as well. During this time, coffee and discussion flow among the members of the group.

None of them ever expected to be in this predicament; indeed, none of them thought the apocalypse would ever happen, but there they were. Some time passes, and the MC speaks to the other characters gathered there.

“I've become aware of a small store on the outskirts of the city where we can buy some goods. We've been running low on supplies, and heading to this store should give us enough supplies to last us for at least a few more days until we can find more. Before we go, does anyone have any questions or concerns?”

(Sure enough, many questions are raised by the group. The MC shakes his head in frustration.)

Yes, Connor, what's your question?

(Several others ask questions and he responds them. He looks at himself and breathes a sigh of relief. In his mind, however, there is a steely determination, since he knows that regardless of what will happen, things won't quite be the same.)

After this sequence, the MC and the other characters head to the armory. There, they load themselves up with guns, ammunition, and other weaponry for the road ahead.

Just before they're about to leave, we see the MC gathering some food and silently pondering what's going to happen. He shakes his nervous doubt from his mind, and gathers the group together. They all board into a van with their supplies and gear, and even though it's kind of a tight fit, they do all manage to get in, and with that, they proceed to leave the city.

(Note: there's many different bandits in the city, so the group has to be on careful watch for any possible bandit attacks. Sure enough, shortly after leaving, when their place has faded from the rearview mirror, a group of bandits riding in a pickup truck approach the group, seeking their resources and on the attack.)

“Well, well..what do we have here? A group of lousy, good-for-nothing's passing by our turf. Give us your money and we'll let you head safely. If you don't.....let's just say you probably won't like it.”

The MC stares at the others. He knows that if he gives them the money, that they wouldn't be able to buy anything, rendering the trek mostly useless, but he also scopes out the terrain and decides against an ambush. Because of this, he knows action must be taken. Glancing with a mischievous wink at the others, he knows full well what he needs to do.

“Guys—let's show them what we can do—let's fire at them!”

“Alright” shouted the others, and with a lash, started shooting at the bandits. The bandits began to fire back, and a fight ensues.
