Speed Plans:

I've been refreshing myself on 103%, picking up new strats through watching a couple of PB videos (mainly Suzuri's and V0oid's). Overall, I think I'm playing more crisp, but we'll see when I actually get to runs.

As it currently stands, I'm on W8 right now. After that I'll do some runs. Sorry I haven't been streaming my practice. With the donkey games I feel...intimated to stream them. Mainly because I play on VC. Personally, I think saving time with only loading zones/lag is fake as hell. But, when I was first learning DKC2 back in 2014, I saw reflected running on VC, so I figured nobody cared since I already had a Wii & a Wii U, and not a SNES.

But, as time went on, I saw how dumb it was just to save time just because of loading zones/black frames. I've had a Wii U since 2013, and when the donkey games came out on that system (along with DK64), I just bought the games on there, not really caring about the difference in time/lag. I do that currently with my DK64 101% time, where I have the 2nd fastest "time" but imo the 4-5th best "run" when you consider the time N64 loses to lag.

At this point, I wish there was a conversion for the times, but that doesn't seem feasible. Also, with how fixed most of my income is at the moment, it's just not feasible for me to purchase a SNES and all the things I would need to get into speedrunning on it. So, for now, I will stick to VC, even though I know the times are not comparable to those running on SNES.

Will I stream DKC3? Yes. Will I stream it often as I do other games? Not really sure. Maybe later this year I can actually get a SNES and not have to worry about that.
