     ANASTAZYA WAS BORN in Russia to the head of the Pavlovsky coven and one of his many wives, Pietre Pavlovsky and Do Cheora. When she was barely even a few months old, the coven came under attack so Pietre had someone take his youngest daughter far away to somewhere safe, somewhere out of the country. On August 19, 2000, a five month old Anastazya was left in the care of the trusted employees at Simmons’s Orphanage in Toronto, Canada. She wasn’t even at the orphanage for a full month before she was adopted by a doting harpy woman, Elizabeth Johnson, who had adopted a hybrid girl a few years prior.
     ANASTAZYA WAS GIVEN the best childhood any kid dreamt of. With a loving mother, an older sister who was nothing but patient and caring, and, eventually, a younger brother as well, she became the kind and caring young woman she is today. While her childhood was filled with happiness, she faced many struggles being the only full vampire in the home. Her mother did a good job of keeping their refrigerator stocked with enough blood bags to sustain the growing girl but that wasn’t always enough. No matter how much her mother and sister tried to “train” her to control her bloodlust and control her blood intake, Anastazya just couldn’t control herself. While part of it was due to the fact she wasn’t raised in the proper vampiric environment, most of her lack of self-control was because she repeatedly forced herself not to eat, eventually getting to the point where even the faintest hint of blood had her bloodlust taking over.
     THIS PROVED TO be nothing but disastrous for Anastazya. It was only a matter of time before she snapped. In the heart of spring, when she was eleven years old, the family of five had gone to dinner and a movie that evening after having a day out shopping. They were on their way to their car when they saw a young girl and her parents walking the opposite way on the sidewalk across the street. Everything was fine until the girl tripped and scraped her hands and knees on the sidewalk. Ana’s nostrils flared at the sharp scent of blood and her instincts took over. The next thing she remembered was being pried away from the dying girl, blood smeared across her lips and teeth from feeding and on her jacket from where the girl’s bleeding hands tried to push her away. Seeing what she did had her breaking down in seconds. She never meant to hurt anyone. She didn’t want to hurt anyone. She was sobbing hysterically, gagging on the taste of blood in her mouth, wrenching herself from her mom’s arms and trying to get as far away from the scene as she could. She eventually found a few blocks over hiding under the playground castle. She didn’t say a word to anyone for weeks out of pure guilt even though the girl ended up surviving, somehow.
     FROM THAT DAY onward, Anastazya vowed that she would never feed from a living being again, that she would never hurt anyone again. Unfortunately, her vampiric nature just wouldn’t allow that. There were two more incidents after the the first one, one when she was thirteen and the other when she was fourteen, and both times her victim died. After the third attack, both her and her mother agreed that it was time for a change of scenery, both hoping it could benefit Ana, who was drowning in guilt and regret.
     DECIDING TO EXPLORE Anastazya’s roots, the family of four moved to Seoul, South Korea. Elizabeth had made sure that all three of her adopted daughters and her adopted son knew their ethnic backgrounds and held true to them so it was no surprise that Ana adapted fairly well to their new home. She had taken up Korean as a kid upon learning of her mother’s ethnicity, Nadya taking care of teaching her Russian, so the language barrier wasn’t much of an issue either, minus the few gaps in vocabulary from being self-taught. It seemed that the biggest problems for her upon moving to South Korea was her species and being biracial. She was subjected to a lot of harassment, primarily verbal since people were too frightened to get close to the “disgusting bloodsucker”. Luckily for Ana, her mother thought ahead and just homeschooled her instead of enrolling her in public school.
     A YEAR PASSED by peacefully for Anastazya. She could feel her control gradually getting better, though still shaky, and even managed to land herself a part-time job at the ramen shop a few buildings down her street, the manager luckily not discriminating in favor of having someone to help out. One evening, she was cleaning up after the last customers, a group of what looked like businessmen. As a habit of hers, she began singing as she cleaned to help pass the time and make it somewhat more enjoyable. She hadn’t heard the bell on the door ring as one of the businessmen returned to retrieve his forgotten cell phone. Hearing the fifteen-year-old, he lingered after getting his phone to listen to her sing. When she finished the song, she was startled when a one-man applause immediately sounded afterwards. Little had she known, her audience was the CEO of FNC Entertainment and he was extremely impressed by what he’d heard. He offered her a private audition for his company and even assured her that she would become a trainee without a doubt. So, after much contemplation and a few long talks with her mom, Anastazya auditioned for FNC a few weeks later.
     ANASTAZYA PASSED THE audition without any trouble, unless you count one of the judges recoiling at her being a vampire. She happily joined the trainee program, fully prepared to work hard towards her debut. While her training was very successful, she struggled through a lot of discrimination from quite a few of her fellow trainees. All she wanted was to get along with everyone but it seemed like everyone was against her, like everyone was too clouded by stereotypes to realize that she was different. It was the same thing she’d experienced her entire life but it seemed to hit her harder as a trainee considering that she wouldn’t be close to anybody if she were to debut in a girl group. To her relief, just under a year and a half into her training, she was approached with a special and very appealing offer: become apart of a girl group made up of different species. She immediately took up the offer, excited to make friends and play a part in proving that different species could indeed get along so that war could, hopefully, be avoided.

     COURTESY OF HER upbringing, Anastazya grew to be a kind and gentle girl. She always has a bright, welcoming smile on her face and a love for making friends. Although she’s quite friendly, she is also painfully shy. She lacks many proper social skills since she was homeschooled most her life and never had a chance to really interact with a wide variety of people. She can sometimes be overly nice because of this, which gets on a lot of people’s nerves, but she’s really just trying to get people to like her. She has faced a lot of discrimination and ridicule for being a vampire, one who can hardly control her bloodlust at that, both from other species and from the same species. This has led her to be quite insecure about herself to the point she often changes the way she looks and acts to please those around her.
     ANASTAZYA, BEING A people pleaser, is someone who would instantly drop everything she’s doing to help someone. This makes her seem extremely gullible, which she kinda is, but she’s actually just eager to help. She has experienced the struggle of being alone through her hardships, being the only vampire in her home, and she wants to do everything she can to make sure nobody else experiences that. She puts the needs and wants of others before herself and often forgets to take care of herself properly. She often finds that she forgot to eat or sleep because she was so concerned with the well-being of other people. It’s not really uncommon that she just sits down on her bed and realizes how depressed she really is before snapping herself out of what she calls “undeserved self-pity” and plastering her usual smile on her face. Being an emotional support for people has caused Anastazya to be very empathetic and sensitive. It’s not hard to make her cry and, when she does, it’s absolutely heartbreaking. Additionally, being an empath, if she sees someone crying, she’ll cry, even without knowing why. If she sees someone smiling, she’ll smile too. Again, she doesn’t like seeing people struggle alone. When other people are happy, she’s as happy as she can convince herself to be.
     ANASTAZYA IS A gentle and patient person, being notorious for how good she is with people. Thanks to her empathetic nature and kind aura, people usually are drawn to her for comfort, until they realize she’s a vampire of course. She is really good with children thanks having a little brother and helping her mom out at the orphanage back in Canada. She is the epitome of the “mom friend” despite usually being the youngest amongst the people she finds herself with. She cares deeply for those around her and feels a sense of responsibility to make sure they’re doing okay. She is definitely the type to pull out a cough drop for someone at even the faintest hint of a cough. She’s always prepared to step up and take care of someone who needs her. This is her way of feeling like she belongs, feeling like she’s not a useless hazard to society. She just wants to protect people and for everyone to get along and she’s willing to go to any lengths to accomplish that, even if it means disappearing off the face of the earth to reduce at least some threat caused by her presence.
     DO NOT LET Anastazya’s wide, innocent gaze fool you. She is anything but naive. She knows she’s a monster and she knows that she shouldn’t work so hard to please other people. She just can’t help herself though. She wants to be liked, she wants to be accepted for once in her life by people other than her family. That’s why she’s completely on board with the idea of a group of different species being made. She wants to finally be able to make a change and show everyone that friendship isn’t only limited to the same species. Also, don’t forget that this lovely angel has attacked three people, killing two of them. She knows the dangers of her lack of self-control is constantly fighting against it so she can show the world a different side of vampires. She struggles a lot with who and what she is, being a vampire and the daughter of a renowned, presumably deceased coven leader. She doesn’t really realize how amazing she truly is thanks to her biological father. When people hear the Pavlovsky name, they expect to see none other than Pietre himself walking into the room in a way that makes his power obvious. Instead, they get to see his youngest daughter, who is so very oblivious to the fame that comes with her bloodline.

     UNCONTROLLABLE BLOODLUST | Anastazya is like any other vampire around blood, just so much more or of control. If she even gets the faintest hint of blood, she’s instantly in predator mode and it’s extremely dangerous to interfere with her until she feeds. She becomes violent and her features literally darken into that of a predator on the hunt. Whenever she is in this state, her pupils turn a vibrant red color and, if she’s completely out of control, her scleras will turn black. The only thing that can sate her in this state is fresh blood from a living victim. So, if someone managed to restrain her, she would still going crazy, thrashing and babbling nonsense about blood and being hungry.
     SLEEPS A LOT | Anastazya sleeps so much that, at one point when she was a baby, her adoptive mother thought she died in her sleep. It doesn’t help that her pulse is faint from being “undead”. She can easily sleep 12+ hours a day though her schedule rarely allows for that. The minimum amount of sleep she should have is 8 hours. If she doesn’t get enough sleep, she’s a lot more vulnerable to her bloodlust and she gets quite grumpy and pouty. It’s cute seeing the tired, pouty vampire stumble around aimlessly in a desperate attempt to wake up and carry on with her day until she gets hungry, and not for human food.
     PALE, SENSITIVE SKIN AND EYES | As with most vampires, Anastazya’s skin is extremely pale and lacks any color, unless someone gets her blushing. Her pale skin is also super sensitive to sunlight. While it doesn’t literally burn her skin, she has to wear sunscreen every time she leaves the dorm, even in the cloudiest of days, or else she’ll end up with a painful sunburn. Her eyes are more sensitive to the sun than normal so she often wears really strong sunglasses on sunny days. It doesn’t bother her too badly on cloudy days so she doesn’t wear them then.
     LOW BODY TEMPERATURE | Naturally, Anastazya has a low body temperature. Do not mistake this for being ice cold though. She’s more lukewarm than anything, not cold but not warm either. Although, like any usual person, how warm or cold her skin feels can also be affected by the temperature outside or in the room she’s in. She knows that her strange body temperature weirds people out since it makes her seem a true “undead” being so she always tries to warm up her hands before fanmeets/fansigns. She doesn’t want people to be put off from touching her just because of her body temperature. The plus side to this though is that she isn’t really all that affected by how cold it gets. She can feel the chill but it won’t particularly make her feel cold. It’s the opposite for hot weather though; she gets the full experience.

—habits:
     CHEWING ON HER LIP/FINGERNAILS | This is a bad habit Ana picked up as a kid when she was trying to avoid feeding for as long as possible. She would chew on her nails or her bottom lip to try to soothe the urge to bite into something. It never really helped but she found she could never drop the habit after doing it for so long. Although, she doesn’t do it as often as she used. She only ever does it when she’s anxious or uncomfortable.
     ROCKING ON HER FEET | When Anastazya is in a good mood or is spacing out, she rocks back and forth on her feet. It’s a childish habit picked up from when she’d do so to be cute while asking for sweets. She just does it subconsciously and honestly doesn’t realize it half the time. Other times, she knowingly does it to calm herself down and bring herself back to reality whenever she starts getting caught up in being an idol or starts getting overwhelmed by everything. It’s something from her “old life” that reminds her what she’s there for and that she is just as much a person as everyone else.
     PURSING HER LIPS | Whenever Anastazya is thinking or is focused on something, she purses her lips. Her eyebrows also furrow sometimes but not very often anymore after her little brother told her she looked constipated when she did that. She also purses her lips whenever she’s stopping herself from saying something. While she is a sweet young woman, she can be unintentionally blunt (in the nicest way possible) and end up offending someone. Because of this, she’s careful to watch what she says as much as she can.

—hobbies:
     COLLECTING SOUVENIR SHIRTS | Anastazya loves wearing t-shirts so she is always sure to buy one whenever she goes to a new place. She has a few that her mom and sister passed down to her and it makes her eager to someday pass on souvenir shirts to her own kids in the future to carry on the “tradition”. Plus, they’re comfortable.
     KNITTING | Anastazya fucking LOVES knitting. She’s teased all the time for it because it’s an “old woman thing” but she does not give a fuck. Those same people that tease her though are the same ones who ask her to knit them a new scarf or blanket when it starts getting cold. She started when she was a kid and she’s really good at it now and can make almost anything.

     Anastazya’s primary style is best summed up as late 20th century (70s-90s). She likes having that “vintage” look and she thinks she looks really good in her choice of clothing. A lot of the stuff she wears has stripes on it though she has no preference for or against them. She does have a special charm bracelet she from her sister right before she moved to Korea. It has charms representing each person in the family and it means a lot to her.

     - She’s the only full vampire in her family. Nadya is only half-vampire, her other half being succubus. Because of her hybridity, she doesn’t have a whole lot of strength/power, since the combination of powers cancel each other out, so she’s a lot more human than supernatural. Her mother and little Ella are harpies and Ian is a wizard.
     - She has made a tradition of knitting new scarves for her family every year. She still sends one to Nadya, who lives back in Canada, as well. Now that she’s finally in a group, she plans to make them scarves as well since she looks at them as her second family, even if they do tease her a lot. She wants them to be warm and comfortable whenever it’s cold.
     - She has always wanted a pet cat but she was never allowed to have one because of her older sister was allergic to the fur and there was no way in hell Elizabeth Johnson was getting her kid a hairless cat. When they moved to South Korea, they were a little tight on money at first so any extra expenses, aka pets, were out of the question.
     - Anastazya often calls her mom and siblings to check up on them. She is usually texting Ian whenever he isn’t in school and she isn’t preoccupied with training. She has an alarm set on her phone for when she can call Nadya because of the time zone differences. It took her a while to figure out exactly when to call her older sister but she eventually figured it out.
     - Anastazya’s favorite animals are the Red Bearded Vulture, the Maned Wolf, Pandas, and Great White Sharks. She thinks they’re all some of the coolest animals to ever exist. She’s always watched channels like Animal Planet and Discovery when she was younger, which is how she first learned about these animals, so she’s very knowledgeable about that sort of stuff. She could probably write an entire book full of facts of each one.
     - She had never been out of Canada, let alone Toronto, until she moved to South Korea. She looks forward to being able to travel around the world now that she’s debuting. She really is hoping that they get to have a world tour so that she can be doing two of her favorite things, traveling and singing, with who she considers her friends
     - Anastazya owns a huge, fluffy body pillow that she sleeps with every single night. She honestly can’t sleep well without it at this point and takes it with her whenever she knows she’ll be staying overnight somewhere. She also has a neck pillow designed with a panda face that she absolutely adores and takes with her everywhere so that long car rides are more comfortable.
     - Anastazya’s older sister, Nadya, is completely, 100% Russian so she was the one who taught her how to speak the language. Although, Ana had to beg for her to teach her it since Nadya thought it was pointless seeing as they lived in Canada.
     - Anastazya hates bluetooth earbuds and headphones with a passion. They bother her to no end because she always has to charge them and, additionally, they always fall out or off of her ears. Regular earbuds/headphones sometimes do as well but she personally feels like they fit better and, the best part, she doesn’t have to charge them.
     - She really loves oversized sweatshirts. She wears them often during practice and while laying around the dorm. If she’s not in a sweatshirt, she’s wearing one of her souvenir t-shirts that either she bought or her mom and sister gave to her.
     - Anastazya does not like using gel pens because every time she has used them, without fail, they always “bleed out” all over her. She ends up with ink on her hand and usually her clothes as well. She considers those pens some of her worst enemies.
     - Ana has read and owns all of the Game of Thrones and she religiously watches the TV show. It’s her favorite book series and TV show. She would honestly do anything she could and take any opportunity available to have the chance to meet the cast of the show.
     - Her three favorite musical artists are Ed Sheeran, Neffex, and Fall Out Boy. She owns most of their albums and knows most of their songs by heart. It’s often she’ll be having mini jam sessions alone in her room to these artists, and plenty of others, seeing as her unnies never seem to want to do so with her anyways.

     HURTING OTHER PEOPLE | Anastazya’s biggest fear is hurting other people. This fear has always been a constant in her life since she was kid since she knew was a dangerous being. After she first attacked someone, it really brought to light what she could do and what she didn’t want to do. It physically pains her and makes her sick to think about putting someone in pain. Whenever she starts getting hungry for blood, she always gets a little panicky to hurry and get a blood bag so she doesn’t lose control and harm someone. She also doesn’t rough house very much with other people because of this. She knows that, as a supernatural, she has more strength than some others so she just prefers keeping her hands to herself in fear of hurting someone. Whenever Ana does accidentally hurt someone, the shock and the panic attack are almost instantaneous. She breaks down into a mess of tears and incoherent babbling of apologies as she tries to get as far away as she can from who she harmed. She usually goes to an isolated place and locks and/or hides herself there as she drowns in guilt and suffers through her panic attack.

     Anastazya is very bright and energetic on camera while she’s on stage. It’s hard to look away from her sometimes because she always looks so happy being on the stage and she really is. She loves performing so much. Although, she can also be quite “sexy” as well whenever she’s on stage and her shy persona drops long enough for her to confidently send suggestive glances and teasing winks towards the crowd or camera.

—have they ever experienced abuse because of their species?:
     Yes, Anastazya has experienced abuse for being a vampire in the form of discrimination and verbal harassment. It’s been too often that she’d receive hateful slurs and glances as she walked down the sidewalk or in a grocery store. She wasn’t even safe from this when she worked, often having customers ask for someone else to serve them because of her species despite her being the only waitress. There’s a lot of opportunities that have been denied to her because she’s a vampire, one of those almost being when she auditioned. She nearly didn’t make it because of a prejudiced judge but, luckily, she made it. She has been told straight up that she couldn’t be or go somewhere because “we don’t allow vampires here”.

—thoughts on the looming threat of war:
     Anastazya honestly hardly understands any of what is going on politically in the supernatural world. What she does understand though is that the disagreements and fighting between species has become such a big issue that they’re on the brink of war. She doesn’t understand why everyone can’t just stop being so judgmental and inconsiderate so that they can get along with other people of another species. She really wants to avoid the war so she’s prepared to do her best to represent the good side of vampires. She doesn’t really believe any certain species should win, thinking that a council with a representative member of each species would be a good idea.

—thoughts on Rize:
     Anastazya is super happy that Rize is being put together in order to try to help avoid war. She doesn’t condone violence so she’s excited about being apart of something trying to prevent violence on a large scale. She believes that maybe, just maybe her and her group members can convince each of their respective species that it is possible for them to get along and that war can be avoided if they just got over their differences and made amends.

—thoughts on the other members:
     Anastazya hasn’t known her group members for a too long but she already loves them all. They pick on her a lot but she doesn’t really care as long as she gets some form of attention from them considering they usually otherwise won’t bother with her. She grew up around a lot of different species so she has no prejudice against anyone and is actually quite eager to see what kind of special traits each of them carry from their species. She wants to get closer to GONE BAD since she is the closest to her age-wise and since she hides herself in her room all the time. No matter how many times she’s turned away, she’s determined to have a close bond with her since her other unnies don’t give her the chance with them.

     - Anastazya is just having a really awful day. First off, she’s woken up super early, only running on 5 hours of sleep from getting home late, and doesn’t have enough time to shower or eat. Second, she has to go on a coffee run for her unnies because they demanded it and yeah, what they say goes. On top of that, she’s stared at for being a vampire and a group of teenagers even starts calling out slurs. Third, she ends up rushing to get the coffee and gets some orders wrong, making herself late to practice because she had to have them redone. She got scolded badly for it. Finally, her unnies pick on her a bit when they get home for all the mistakes she made over the day and during their rehearsals/practices. It wasn’t even anything major but she was just so done with everything that day that she just started crying, just going to her room without a word.

      I was sick when I wrote the personality and traits so they’re probably repetitive and make no sense. So, please ask me any questions if I didn’t clarify anything enough or just messed something up. :)

     I felt like I made her seem like a total push-over and innocent baby but she really isn’t. I mean, yeah, she does do a lot of things for the other members since they’re older and tell her what to do but she knows when enough is enough and will not hesitate to stand up for herself if they take it too far. While her standing up for herself may not really last long or get her far, she will do so. She’s also really unintentionally blunt and brutally honest. She doesn’t mean to offend anyone but her mother always told her that honesty is the best policy. She does try to watch what she says though.
