  8. 1.Change your system locale to Japanese (Control Panel > Region and Language > Administrative tab)
  9. 2.Install ALL English and Japanese RPG Maker Run-Time-Packages (RTPs):

  13. How to add translation patches into games:
  14. 1. Download http://rpgcrisis.net/forums/files/file/65-rgssad-rgss2a-rgss3a-decrypter/
  15. 2. Extract and run
  16. 3. File -> Open File -> Navigate to folder containing game and open Game.rgss2a
  17. 4. Tools -> Extract All
  18. 4a. There should now be a a new folder where the extraction tool is located named "extract"
  19. 5. Copy everything in "extract" and paste into game directory
  20. 6. Copy contents of translation folder into game directory
  21. 7. Remove game.rgss2a from game directory
  22. 8. Play game

  24. Hacks:
  25. Optional 1. (SPEEDHACK) If the games feel too slow, you can install Cheat Engine (CE) and enable Speedhack in it. Just install it > start both CE and the game you want to play in whichever order > click computer icon in CE at the top left corner below "File" > select game process (it's always near the bottom of the list, the name might not be the game title, like "game.exe", etc) > select "Enable Speedhack" at the right side of the program, a "Speed" window opens below it, you can type the speed you want to use or use the slider and click "Apply". Normal speed = 1.0, double = 2.0, half = 0.5, etc. max stable speed is usually 5.0, sometimes 2.0~3.0.

  27. Optional 2. (CHEATING) You can cheat with CE, however, RPG maker games calculate everything (HP, gold, exp, etc) like this = X*2+1 so if your HP is 100 you need to type 201 in the "Value" bar (OR you can just type 100*2+1 since CE can calculate so you don't have to do that yourself) and select "New scan" and CE will find a bunch of Values that are 201. Next you you'll reduce/increase your HP, let's say it's 70 now, so type 70*2+1 and select "Next scan" and CE will show all 201 values that were reduced to 141 (70*2+1). Repeat this until there are 1-5 values left, double click or select them all and press the red arrow. This will copy them to the bottom part where you can edit the "Value" part. Double click any of the values and change it to whatever you want. There's also "Active" checkbox at the left, which freezes the value, so it doesn't change. At the search bar there are "Scan Type" and "Value Type" but most RPG maker games use the default "Exact Value" and "4 Bytes" so you don't need to change them usually.
