  1. >Despite being undead, one would wonder what the point of exercising is.
  2. >To Squigly, It doesn’t make a difference. A healthy body, undead or not, is always a top priority no matter what!
  3. >Besides, not only is it good for fighting skills, but it’s great for keeping the dread rigor mortis away.
  4. >Every Saturday, Squigly changes into a pair of sportswear, yoga pants and a tank-top, which she finds incredibly refreshing from her normal gothic attire of corsets and strings into something more breathable. But she slips on a hoodie to keep warm of course
  5. >She makes a refreshing fruit smoothie and packs her bag with her mat and her “Now That’s What I Call Chamber Music 12” and heads out to meet Filia and Carol.
  6. >Ever since Filia managed to get an apartment thanks to Parasoul, who after an unfortunate arrest regarding her Medici name, granted her a place to live aside from the train station, she, Squigly, and Carol have been working out together everywhere.
  7. >Although this is not without problems.
  8. >Filia’s place is laundered with food- mostly from Samson but a small part of Filia too, and take-out boxes. Squigly can’t tell you how weird it is to be doing stretches and almost slipping on a box of uneaten garbage pizza
  9. >Squigly’s crypt bunker is clean and orderly, but a bit small for any yoga work for three. Carol almost wacked her head off an antique gramophone player.
  10. >Lab 8 where Carol’s staying is clean, secure and safe-it being a secret ASG lab of course- but it’s crowded.
  11. >Peacock barging in during meditation screaming about someone stealing her Annie headphones. The kids sometimes run in and try to play with Samson and Leviathan, and Leviathan still remembers when one girl pulled on his tail and he spit fire from his mouth, or that one time Leduc walked in and, seeing all of them in yoga pants, well…uh…it was kind of awkward
  12. >But all in all, they just enjoy the time they have together. Working out, having a healthy lunch, gossip, it’s what any group of girls would do.
  13. >Today they’ll go to Lab 8, and since Peacock’s out with Big Band, and Illeum, Leduc, and Hive are taking the kids to the movies, they’ll have the whole place to themselves.
  14. >Squigly meets Filia at her place and the two head out together. Hand in hand they stroll down the city streets towards the hidden entrance to Lab Eight in Canopolis. The air is cool, and carries the beginning breezes of a cold winter, and even light frost kisses their noses as they walk.
  15. >Squigly nuzzled into Filia all cozy- since Filia has a bit of extra “weight” on her. Not that it’s an insult! Squigly loves to cuddle with Filia, how warm and snuggly the girl is, and Filia happily holds the opera singer close, enjoying her tight and rather warm hugs too.
  16. >If it wasn’t for Samson whispering to “grab her ass” in her ear and Leviathan rebuking him in an old-fashioned insult it would be really cozy. But they don’t mind
  17. >As they walk along the street, the scent of Squigly’s perfume teasing her nose, Filia talks about what they’ll do for after their exercise for lunch. A delicious burger and fries at Madman’s sounds great!
  18. >Sure, it’s not super healthy, but its good for you in flavor!
  19. >And besides, the trio love to cuddle up in a little booth and share a French vanilla milkshake.
  20. >When they finally arrive at Lab 0, they’re let in by Carol, who is eagerly dressed in her outfit.
  21. >Pair of leg-warmers, a pair of yoga pants, and a t-shirt that reads “Foxy Shark”- a hand-me-down from Stanley’s closet, but it’s surprisingly breathable
  22. >The three go to Carol’s room, where she’s set everything up nicely for them to get going.
  23. >Bottles of mineral water, a mini-fridge of healthy snacks she made with Illeum, and even embroidered towels for them to use, each with their name sewn on.
  24. >After a bit of light cardio, which is stretching while they talk to Carol, Squigly and Filia are ready to go.
  25. >Once they set the mats down and pop the tape in, the two are already stretching and posing on their stomachs, their knees, or their backs.
  26. >And Carol, through it all, is as red as red could be.
  27. >Now, it’s not that she’s not used to seeing them in their yoga outfits, after all, they’re all girlfriends and it’s nothing new but…
  28. >Filia and Squigly certainly do fill out their pants quite nicely.
  29. >Squigly’s big rear, round, bouncy and soft but not too soft, and Filia’s big butt, plush, perky, and smooth are always inches away from her face.
  30. >And seeing how Filia stretches when she reclines back into an arch, or how Squigly can bring the tips of her toes to her ears makes her blush all the more.
  31. >In fact, it’s almost a bit…well, insulting to be her, Carol thinks.
  32. >Or at least, how she thought
  33. >Once upon a time, she was very nervous about even doing this alongside them
  34. >After all, Filia and Squigly are both very attractive, she thinks, and this is a fact undisputed.
  35. >Wide hips, long legs, cute faces- even with parasites they still look good!
  36. >And then there’s herself.
  37. >Scarred, torn up, all looking like she just stumbled out of an industrial accident.
  38. >The first time they did it, she was incredibly nervous. She even wore a sweater, terrified that her scars would flare up if she even tried to do a bend.
  39. >She remembered how she was so ashamed, that when Squigly tried to remove the sweater out of kindness to help her get better, she pushed her away and ran down the hall in tears.
  40. >When Filia and Squigly found her, she was surprised to see they weren’t mad. That there was no angry scowls and demands to leave her alone, but rather a warm smile and a gentle, forgiving hug.
  41. >They held her tight in between them and explained that she could never be ugly to them, that nothing she could do would ever be seen as hideous.
  42. >Squigly even gives Carol a supportive smile, even after being pushed away and takes her hand, soothingly, with words that echoed with the sweetness of a million soft whispers echoing at once, that she was no monster and that she and Filia would always be there for her.
  43. >And Carol knew how helpful they were to her now. How they always sent her supportive text messages every day, Filia sent funny memes and Squigly sent inspirational quotes, and how if she ever felt down on herself, the two would rush right over and nurse her with plenty of love and care- be it Squigly’s blueberry kisses that coated her face to Filia’s big warm cuddly hugs.
  44. >As Squigly takes a moment’s break from stretching her legs to sit on the bed, she relaxes with a drink of her strawberry smoothie and some fresh fruit from the fridge.
  45. >It feels wonderful to move like that. To stretch her muscles and tendons, to feel them pop and stretch after such a long time of not moving. Granted Leviathan does help with the restoration of the nerves and muscles, but to just feel how they bend and turn, how it feels to kick or stretch your back is simply wonderful.
  46. >She remembered how Carol felt so awkward, for lack of a better word, when they first began, how scared she was to even take off her mask because she was afraid she’s repulse Squigly.
  47. >And now, here she was, laughing and joking, smiling as she arched herself like a cat before stumbling over, only to laugh about it all red in the face.
  48. >It warmed Squigly’s heart to have such two loving girlfriends. Both so sweet and so affectionate, always willing to lend a hand whenever they needed to.
  49. >To be honest, as she sips her smoothie, licking off the juice of a clementine on her lips, she remembers how afraid she used to feel.
  50. >She considered herself damned to be alone- well, not fully alone as not to downplay any of Leviathan’s actions. But to have no one to hold, no one to come home to, no one to even do anything with
  51. >And there’s only so many showers you can sing alone in, or walks around the graveyard you could take before going nuts
  52. >Squigly had lost everyone- her mother, her father, uncles, aunts, cousins- she was alone, the only true Contiello left.
  53. >All that would be left to do is sleep, wake up, sleep, wake up, forever and ever.
  54. >But now…now things were different.
  55. >What was once going to cafes to sit alone and try and pen music lyrics like some uppity writer Squigly occupied those same cafes with Filia and Carol, eating croissants and drinking fancy teas.
  56. >And what was once singing to herself in bored habits she could sing karaoke with them at that little karaoke club in Little Innsmouth
  57. >Even this little exercise thing was enough to bring joy to her day. Being with friends, laughing, training, it was all like experiencing them again, a new lease on life she didn’t want to give up.
  58. >Then, the sound of Filia’s voice calling out to her breaks her from her reverie.
  59. >She’s trying to balance Carol out on one leg, on the tips of her toes. Carol’s arms are stretched out, she waves back and forth, trying not to fall
  60. >Squigly races over to help her girlfriend, carefully balancing her as she sways back and forth
  61. >Filia giggles as she watches Carol and Squigly try and balance- Squigly’s shouting about her inner chi while Carol says she has no idea what that is.
  62. >They’re both so cute. Carol so polite and reserved, shy, but sweet. Always making flower crowns with the Lab 8 kids to give to Squigly and her. Or calling to talk about their favorite TV show they both watch at the same time over the phone.
  63. >And Squigly, so sweet and talented, so high-class and smart. Filia always feels like she’s with a movie star or something when Squigly invites them to the jazz club she sings at, and sits with them in that beautiful performance dress. And it’s always so cute to see Squigly dress up in all sorts of modern fashion- last week’s trip to the mall was composed of Squigly trying on all sorts of winter clothes while Carol played her pop playlist for a cheesy montage
  64. >Filia doesn’t remember her old friends. Did she even have any friends aside from Carol? Or was she just alone?
  65. >Imagine waking up one day to find you don’t even know who you are, let alone anything of the people you knew.
  66. >If people actually did care, she wondered, they would have been out looking for her. Posters, reports, missions at the church fundraiser type deals.
  67. >But nothing
  68. >And now, now she has friends- girlfriends even!
  69. >People who would happily share a pizza with her, people who love to her talk about her favorite books with her, people she can spend the holidays with
  70. >People she can love, people she can trust
  71. >People she wants to be strong for
  72. >Maybe that’s why they all exercise. Or a part of it. To get stronger for the other.
  73. >It’s a dangerous world out there- Skullgirls, Medici, war, corruption.
  74. >And that’s all the more reason to be stronger for them. Carol wants to make sure Filia and Squigly never go through what she went through. Squigly wants to keep what she has safe, that they won’t be taken from her again. Filia wants to keep them beside her, to remember them, to have something in life she know is concrete and real
  75. >Then, Carol shifts to the left
  76. >Filia grabs her and carefully balances her, until as graceful as a swan standing on the shores of its lake, Carol finds herself balancing nimble on her toes.
  77. >The look of delight on Carol’s face, the blush past the scars, her brown hair falling over her soft red eyes removes any look of worry, any sign of her past pain, and her laugh as warm as the sunshine spills into the room, her lips curled into a delicate paper smile, so pure, so beautifully drawn on that it seems perfectly in place.
  78. >And it’s that smile, that laugh, the feeling of love and warmth that connects Filia, Squigly, and Carol that makes Squigly and Filia lean in.
  79. >And peck Carol’s cheeks lovingly- to leave one dark blue mark on her right cheek and one pink mark on her right.
  80. >The colors don’t matter, because as soon as Carol feels them kiss her, she immediately loses focus and stumbles back.
  81. >She grabs onto their tanktops for support, which drags them down on top of her.
  82. >Their chests, soft and supple, nuzzle on Carol’s face, making her even more red.
  83. >But, they don’t get up.
  84. >Instead, they laugh. They laugh about how red her face is, about how cute she looks.
  85. >About how nice it is to just snuggle together. Toes brushing against each other’s, legs intertwined, Carol snug between them, Filia and Squigly pressed together.
  86. >Their arms wrap around each other tight, holding each other with equal amounts of deep love and passionate care.
  87. >Maybe they can take a break here. It’s too comfortable to get up.
  88. >The room is silent, relaxing, their bodies sweaty and worn from their hour of exercising and aching to relax.
  89. >The sound of silence is then broken by the soft sound of pecks, kisses on each other’s faces. Giggles and coos and sighs serenade the air, like a beautiful triage of singers.
  90. >And as they snuggle together, just holding each other, taking in the comfort of each other’s love and each other’s company, Samson’s voice echoes out to them
  91. “So…uh, when do we start grabbing ass?”
  92. “You horrid hairball! Can’t you see they’re having a moment!”
  93. >And as Samson and Leviathan argue, Squigly, Carol and Filia just smile more and snuggle together on the mat.
  94. >They don’t need yoga to get all relaxed.
  95. >They have each other. And that’s all they’ll ever need.
