  1. Week 9 Events (Mid Tier):
  2.
  3. -------------
  4.
  5. Hotter Than Hell:
  6.
  7. -No abilities may be used today.
  8. -During Results/Peacetime, one eliminated player or neutral voter (or an admin if all else fails) will select four mercenaries from the unbought pool, plus any one videogame character of their choice, to participate in a beauty contest against five mercenaries of your own choosing.
  9. -The match that week will not be a battle to the death, but rather a contest to decide who's hotter, decided by impartial judges objectively judging each contestant by the standards of their species and culture (so an alien being would not be held to the standards of humanity but their own culture's).
  10. -Contestants will each have two minutes to show off their gifts to the judges. They may not interfere with each other's performances or attempt to influence the judges beyond presenting themselves favorably.
  11.
  12. -------------
  13.
  14. Rain, Rain, Go Away:
  15.
  16. -During Peacetime, you will select a single mercenary to attempt to clear the Risk of Rain scenario (by defeating all bosses, including Providence).
  17. -The match that week will not be a battle to the death. Instead, voters will be asked whether the chosen mercenary could clear Risk of Rain's scenario by their lonesome.
  18. -The chosen mercenary will be dropped into the Risk of Rain world with only the knowledge of who the next boss they need to defeat is, and the route to follow to reach them. As each boss falls, they will receive the information on where to find the next one and how to reach them.
  19. -Equipment may be acquired as normal in Risk of Rain, but whether the mercenary will do so is up to interpretation.
  20. -Enemies will continually spawn, respawn, and home in on the challenger's location, as seen in Risk of Rain.
  21.
  22.
  23. The Planet is as it appears in Risk of Rain. Denizens of the Planet will continuously spawn, respawn, and home in on the survivor with relentless fury. Their strength, numbers, and ferocity will increase as the survivor remains on the planet as seen in the game; Difficulty increments every 5 minutes, capping after one hour. The boss order will be Colossus (in the Desolate Forest), Ancient Wisp (in the Damp Caverns), Ifrit, Cremator, Imp Overlord + Scavenger, and finally Providence.
  24.
  25. Providence is as he appears in Risk of Rain, with access to all his attacks and techniques. He cannot summon the Gilded Wurms and Sanctuary Guards, and may only summon the Umbra of Providence once. His defense buff will last as long as the Umbra of Providence does.
  26.
  27. -------------
  28.
  29. Re;Birth 3 & 4:
  30.
  31. -No mercenaries may be paid down if this fight is chosen. Not via money, not via abilities, not via passives, not via asking the admins very nicely to allow it just this once, nada. Form Switchers are acceptable, so long as they remain within the constraints of Mid Tier upkeep limits and do not go higher (AKA, no 6/weeks and up).
  32. -The challenging player may select battle mercenaries from their group's unbought pool until they have eight rosterable mercenaries, if they so choose. They are not obligated to select mercenaries until they have reached that number.

He has access to all attack, magic, defense and movement commands available to him in Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance, as well as all his spells and abilities from Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix+ and all of his feats from reaction commands. He may use Reality Shift and Flowmotion freely, and may enter <form> in battle, which will not require him to absorb allies. He has 9 drive gauges, may not use summons, and may only use Limits if the appropriate allies are present.
  44.
  45. <b>"My friends are what makes me strong!" 50. -Roxas: Will not accompany Sora into battle at all, but grants him acccess to his Final Form for the week. If selected in low or mid tier, this option will make Sora take up an extra roster slot.
  51. -Riku: Grants Sora access to no forms, but will accompany him to battle this week. He is as he appears in Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance, with access to all commands available to him, and may work with Sora to use their Eternal Session limit, as seen in Kingdom Hearts 2. Selecting this option will put My Friends Are My Power on three weeks of cooldown. Riku is a Heroic Male Human with 5/week upkeep.
  52. -SORA DONALD GOOFY!: Both Goofy and Donald will accompany Sora to battle this week! He will have access to his Valor, Wisdom and Master forms and all appropriate Limits as well. If selected, this option puts My Friends Are My Power on one week of cooldown.
  53.
  54. <b>"I don't need a weapon. My friends are my power!" (Start of Battle):</b> Once every three weeks, Sora may select one mercenary who was rosterable this week but not rostered. That mercenary will be summonable during the battle at any point he sees fit to perform a single non-banned attack, spell or technique of his leader's choice, chosen during rosters alongside with who Sora will summon as a friend. The selected technique will be guaranteed to hit, no matter who it targets.

  64.
  65. "Hail to the King, Baby!" (Passive): Something as petty as injury could never stop Duke - only losing confidence in himself could ever get him down. 385.
  386. <b>The Lies of Locke Lamora (Pre-Battle):</b> Locke's got a silver tongue, and a willingness to use it to benefit himself and his team. Once every four weeks, he may try to persuade one enemy to throw the match by having a long conversation with them before it begins, enticing them with an offer. The offer may not be more than one, single, brief sentence long, decided by Locke's leader, and he will not actually have the thing he'll be offering, though he is capable of being quite persuasive nonetheless. The affected mercenary may take actions contravening the Ideal Teammates clause this week, if judged to be persuaded by Locke's offer.

  391. <b>Prior to the battle, Locke had a private conversation with <merc> where Locke tried to convince <merc> to deliberately throw the match in exchange for <short phrase>. He does not actually have whatever he has offered them, but he is quite silver-tongued nonetheless.</b>

  398. Villainous Male Human
  399. Upkeep: 9/week
  400. Minimum Bid: 999 GP
  401.
  402. <b>Rand al'Thor</b> is as he appears in the Wheel of Time series, in Darth Rand mode, equipped with the Choedan Kal and very pissed off at the enemy team. He has access to all the magic he displays therein, including, yes, Balefire. Oh, and he's got a GameFAQS Rand personality. Have fun!
  403.
  404. <b>GameFAQS Rand (Passive):</b> Rand is TOO STRONG, and ordinarily wouldn't be allowed within a solar system of any iteration of Mercenaries, regardless of medium...but just this once, we'll make an exception if anybody decides to take this event TOO seriously. Using any removals, or more than two non-removal abilities on the Literary Lunacy team will result in Rand taking it personally and entering the battle, alone. He is completely immune to all abilities and cannot be stopped from being rostered in any way shape or form. If he is rostered, the battle will take place on his terrain. Good luck.

No students, faculty or monsters are present. (HP)
  411.
  412. Neutral, Nondescript Terrain - The perennial GameFAQS favorite, an endless plane of flat ground, with fighters starting 400 meters away from each other. (Rand)
