MakoGoro announce their love to Sae

>Goro and Makoto breaking the news of their engagement to Sae! Spicy since Goro's a long-term friend of Sae and there's no way she'd have expected this turn of events.

	Sae was curious as to why Goro of all people invited her to dinner. This place looked expensive, and last she checked it was Goro who was alwaysbegging her to treat him to a bite to eat. He was just a student after all. However even stranger is he said "Meet US there." Just who is "us" she thought to herself. She shrugged it off and went inside.

Inside at the table, Makoto paced restlessly.

"Calm down dear, it will all be fine."

Makoto gave Goro a sidelong glance. "You said this dinner was just for us and you pull this stunt? Do you know Sae?"

Goro chuckled. "I know her well. Sorry for the surprise. But she should know. She deserves to."

Makoto bit her bottom lip. Her nerves were absolutely frayed. Sae always berated her decisions. Everything she did was wrong and selfish. But this was the one choice she wouldn't have torn apart. This was the one thing she knew for certain. She loved Goro, and wanted to be with him. Sae be damned. She turned fiercely to face the table.

"I don't care what Sae says, I lo-" she stopped mid-sentence. Sae walking into the room. The two stood like deer caught in headlights. Staring each other down. Sae looks at Makoto, then at Goro. Then back at Makoto. She clinched her teeth.

"What the hell is going on here? Why the hell is SHE here with YOU, Goro?!" Sae was already beside herself.

Makoto's resolve suddenly vanished. She quickly backed down. Averting her gaze from Sae's crimson eyes. Sae walked up to her and grabbed her chin, forcing her younger sister to face her.

"ANSWER ME."

Goro's arm roughly grabbed Sae's. He met her stare with a fierce one of his own. No words were exchanged. But Makoto could hear the cloth of Sae's sleeve being squeezed. Seeing Goro react so violently in her defense excite her. Sae let go of Makoto's face, small red marks where her nail once dug into the skin.

"I had expected you to conduct yourself much better than this, I am severely disappointed." Goro's stare did not falter. But Sae didn't back down either. She sat down, and Goro and Makoto joined at the table, sitting across from her. Makoto sunk into her seat, defeated. Goro grabbed her hand from under the table and gently squeezed it.

"I'm sorry" he whispered to Makoto, eyes still on Sae.

"Now then. About this meeting-"

"You're fucking my sister." Sae interrupted.

Goro's eyes widened. He was caught off guard. Sae was being uncharacteristically antagonistic. He sighed.

"We're together. But no. We haven't done anything of the sort yet. I intend to make an honest women of her, which is why we're here. I wanted to tell you that so we could all celebrate." Goro's voice was shaking. Both from anger and distress at his friend's betrayal. Makoto began to sob quietly.

Sae grit her teeth. "I see."

"Is that all you have to say?" Goro asked.

Sae looked at him with longing in her eyes. His words were like knives to her. Little did he know how she felt. How she had loved him. And all along him and her sister. She was heart broken. She looked over to Makoto, who was running her hers on the red marks on her face. She was so ashamed.

"Makoto. I'm sorry."

She said nothing in return. She didn't even look at her. Goro shook his head.

"I think you should leave. Right now."

Sae didn't bother arguing back. She got up and left. Goro sighed and embraced Makoto.

"She's gone now. For better or worse, I don't think we'll be seeing her again."

And they didn't. Makoto quietly moved out later on that week. The house became quieter than usual. Sae often found herself calling Makoto to dinner. Setting aside another plate. Lonely nights spent crying, regretting. Wildly vivid dreams of the cruelty she inflicted upon her sister. She was never able to truly forgive herself. As she grew older waiting for a phone call, letter or even email, one never came. Days turned to months, months turned to years into decades.

Soon Sae was old, she was dying. Having become more jaded and cruel, she rarely left the house. Late one summers night, she goes to the super market. Browsing the shelves for some instant noodles, she notices a family walk in. Her eyes widen in shock. Makoto and Goro, and 3 beautiful children. They run around, each going to grab their own things. Those were her niece and nephew.

As fast as her walker could take her she chased after them. Just to see her sister's face one more time. But she was facing the other way. All she could see was her headband, the same one she bought her as a birthday gift all those years ago. She could hear her voice, casually talking to Goro. The two of them sounded so happy. She had to apologize, she had to make things right.

She was getting closer, but they kept walking away. Her old body was too slow, too weak. She desperately tried to keep up but soon she found her vision blurring. Her heart was heavy, and her voice was dry. She attempted to call out to her but her voice stopped mid throat. Suddenly a sharp pain flowed in her left arm. She froze. Tears rolled down her eyes, she was dying. All she could do was beg that the gods grant her wish to see her sister once more.

"Please... turn around.".

Then she turned. Makoto turned to face her. Goro turned too, both of them in utter shock. Sae couldn't move, but her heart was filled with warmth. One of Makoto's kids walks up to her, staring at her curiously.

"Who is this woman Mommy?" he asks.

Makoto scoffs. "Just some old hag".

Sae's heart suddenly snapped in two. Makoto and Goro walk past her, their children skipping in tow.

"Bye ugly old hag" one of the kids says, laughing.

Sae dies shortly after, hearing Makoto and Goro laugh at the remark.
