The gum detonated just as Ethan launched himself in what should have been a futile jump. But the concussion of the explosion gave him the extra thrust he needed: with a rib-pounding thud he splatted against the TGV's windshield and clung there. The explosion ripped open the bell of the chopper, causing it to wobble badly to the left, it's blades pounding off the tunnel wall, breaking themselves to pieces. What was left of the chopper nose-dived and exploded in a ball of fire and twisted metal.
