 To start off, I want to mention that I’m wording all of what I’m explaining here as carefully as possible given the delicate nature of the situation, in order to avoid misunderstandings that could result in myself getting cancelled.

I also want to explain why I’m even writing this in the first place. The main reason is simply that I felt like I needed to, to some degree, talk about this situation, given that I was friends with Javier and that I’m such a big figure within the community by this point.

Quick summary for those reading this that have no idea what’s going on: the roleplay writer Javier, also known by his tag of “NimoJaer” (or whatever it currently is), was, among other things, revealed to be a pedophile and generally a creep and bad person, given large amounts of damning evidence that was revealed by multiple people.

The point of this post is not to drag Javier or any of his defenders, because I personally don’t like dragging people on social media like that. Rather, I want to share some of my experiences with Javier and give my own thoughts on the situation.

There’s a couple of cases relating to Javier that generally made me feel off about him.

The first thing is how sexual he can be with his humor. Most of the RP verses I’ve been in have had their fair share of sexual or suggestive humor. That’s fine, as long as the humor doesn’t go terribly far or risqué to the point of being creepy or dangerous. But with Javier, he tended to take sexual humor to a new level. I can’t think of specific examples, and my memory with the examples I do remember may be fuzzy, but one that comes to mind is how he would beg on tl about getting a ship for smut, then bragging in a group chat I was in when he obtained it (this was way back in early 2020 on one of his old P3 protag accounts).

The second case revolves around Javier and a couple of other accounts. I don’t remember the writers behind the two accounts, but they were (I think) a Lavenza and a Maruki. These two had gotten after Javier for some weird crap that he posted, later specifying that they had blocked him for basically the stuff that I explained in the last point. I actually initially defended Javier becuase I considered him a friend at the time and thought at first that it was just them being petty about Javier’s brand of humor, but considering the stuff that’s come up the past couple of months and especially yesterday, I was very wrong in doing so.

In any case, I am really disappointed as to how the accused parties have acted during this, Akane especially. Back before Akane repeatedly got herself into bouts of drama that only further sucked any credibility away from her, I actually intended on shipping with her or otherwise having romantic RPs with her character on my Yusuke. Now that she’s gotten herself into this by defending Javier and ignoring evidence despite my attempts to get her to see the hard evidence that was already laid out, I don’t think I’ll interact with her anymore, period.

As for what I’m doing in response to all of this:

As already said, I’m cutting off any contact between myself and Javier and Akane-mun, by unadding them on Discord and not interacting with their tweets. I’m still following them just so I can keep up-to-date with what they both say in response to all of this, but that’s it. I will make no attempt to talk to them.
While not strictly needed, I want to offer support to the victims affected (including Nana and the whole Science Team group) by doing what I said in the first bulletpoint and making an effort to talk with them more.

As said at the start, I do not intend to drag Javier’s defenders, because that just isn’t how I roll when it comes to situations like this. My hope is that his defenders can come to their senses, realize their wrongs sincerely, and take time away from the community or, in some cases, not come back so that others can feel safe here.
