So basically she is alive and well, her other name is "Miss Martindale" she use to run a "feminist-like cult" involving "spanking" in the 80s (http://spankingart.org/index.php?title=Miss_Martindale) and married american actor John Guillermin so she goes by her late husband's name Mary Guillermin and she is officialy a psychotherapist but run with another cult called the "Pellin Institute" She lives between two cities, her main house is in L.A. but she spent most of her time in her second home in Rosarito, Mexico.

With her being so infamous it makes her hard to teach Japanese in person so she created her personas to do just that. Some definitive proofs come from her other character "Kinoko" in wich you first of all can clearly hear her exact same voice passed through the same voice changer if this is not proof enough on one of her video she says she likes to "edit her video in a cafee" on the image she provided you can see her editting a cure dolly video on her pc (https://youtu.be/4t2gbFD7xeI?t=6) . now for confirmation of where she lives you can see on some of her twitter videos from her balcony in rosarito. Cure Dolly is not Mary Martindale, but was rather her close friend and fellow leader in multiple groups, which were not cults, although they could seem like them to the casual observer. Cure Dolly was the spiritual leader and chief games developer of the groups, whereas Mary was the one who caned people, led schoolgirl roleplay, and was more business-minded. My research has only suggested that Cure Dolly was a lovely, kind person, who never hit anyone.

I have countless pages of evidence and analysis, such as placing both women at different places and sometimes the same place at the same time over the past ~50 years, with distinct voices, writing styles, behaviours, personalities and even in the same shots in the same video.

The only person who did not accept my evidence was the OP, who enthusiastically spread his conspiracy theory after half-baked research, but appears to be too cowardly to correct his misinformation in light of overwhelming contradictory evidence.

The Pellin Institute is even less of a cult by the way.

Cure Dolly and Mary lived together and shared resources multiple times, including up to Cure Dolly's death. Cure Dolly was careful to avoid the public eye to maintain her privacy for most of her life, unlike Mary who was literally the PR person for the groups, and even recently talked to journalists and performed in a semi-autobiographical show. This explains why the women are easily confused.

As I understand, the link between Cure Dolly and her past life only became more widely known after she was unable to continue making videos, but I am extremely confident that she would have ignored this and continued to teach in character even if everyone knew, such was her great passion for Japanese. She was an extremely motivated and kind-hearted teacher, with a clearly stated intention to continue her Japanese project indefinitely. She devoted much of her time and virtually all her money in her last years to engaging with Japanese and visiting Japan. She was active on forums and would give thoughtful answers to YouTube comments. Even when critically ill she was still trying to contribute to the Japanese learning community and respond to questions, albeit at a slower rate. It wouldn't make any sense for Cure Dolly to abandon her obsession. She also ceased all activities in her life beyond Japanese teaching.

In the lead up to her passing, Cure Dolly had been getting increasingly sick, after having health problems for years previously. I am also convinced that she passed away by other circumstantial evidence, but I do not wish to share it due to privacy concerns.

Julia, above, is correct. I've done some substantial research myself, and I think that the whole usage of pseudonyms has confused everyone. Miss Martindale is alive and well. Miss Martindale is not Cure Dolly.

Ultimately, I've done this research out of ultimate respect for Cure Dolly, and a bit of a fascination with such a brilliant mind. I've found that such brilliant people tend to create characters for themselves because they love the games of pseudonyms, and they love creating something larger than life, larger than themselves.

The clearest evidence is that Miss Martindale and Cure Dolly have distinctly different voices, pronunciations, and pacing of speech. Even reverse pitching Cure Dolly's speech, it's distinctly different.

I think that it's likely that Cure Dolly sensei was a different member of the group, Priscilla Langridge, (I think "cult" is too aggressive for historical eccentrics), and helped guide them to a more technological angle, embracing the internet.

I believe Cure Dolly was also involved in the Second Life Aristasians, documented on the Aristasian Reminiscence blog. The key indicator, for me, is the presence of a penguin in the Embassy.

Priscilla was a writer long before fate, or more probably an advertisement, brought her to the west coast of Ireland. Hardly a computer expert at that stage, she looked upon the micro as another medium, like books or comics, to be exploited as a rich experience — rather like the school. In fact the Secret of St Brides, their first adventure, set in the corridors and dormitories of the house, then out onto the cliffs, came from a game that they would play as they took the pupils on rambles. A mystery would be created from a few bare facts found as they walked along the shore.

Second Life, aka Virtualia

... For a while, we had a penguin bot at the Embassy. At least, I think I remember her being at the Embassy; she might’ve been in somebody’s inventory following us around. She would help us play little rudimentary games, if I remember right, those that were possible and simple within Second Life. She also responded to things people said. There was a running gag (a meme, really) about people saying the same thing at the same time, at which point one of them would say “SNAP!” afterwards. I think the Penguin Bot counted how many times that happened and said it sometimes herself when she caught it. Naturally, this was the late-2000s and she was nothing like chatbots today, but enjoyable. I’m sure she was found at an average shop in Second Life.

In the Second Life outpost of Aristasia (called "Virtualia" by some), avatars Sushuri Madonna (nicknamed the Mushroom, likely the same person later known as Cure Dolly) and Chancandre Aquitaine (formerly called Sushuri Novaryana before SL) functioned as the leaders. I have had some inklings that they may be the same individual representing two facets of her personality (and so was perhaps "Lady Aquila," who was never seen in SL but was very active elsewhere online). Also important to note is that around this time, Miss Martindale was abruptly silenced and made irrelevant. Shortly before the start of Operation Bridgehead, she was regularly contributing a column to The Chap magazine and even gave a live interview on a primetime television show in the United Kingdom. Likewise, some of the core members of the pre-Bridgehead online Aristasia such as Miss Isabelle Trent (aka Duchesse) and "Belladonna" disappeared during this time of transition into SL.
