Broken Heart is a set of soulsteel lamellar armor that bears numerous designs of thorns and scenes of betrayal. Broken Heart was created during the age of sorrows, so that passions might lead to clashes of hearts as much as armies.

Evocations

Attuning to Broken Heart chills the wearer’s emotions, allowing them to more easily resist temptation against their feelings.  Gain a non-Charm +1 to Resolve against Social Influence attempting to play off an Intimacy based on emotions such as love, hate, or compassion.

Both shooter and victim can be dazzled by the blast of a fireward, though it is the target who will suffer longer lasting pain.  This Evocation can be activated after the wearer successfully Instills a positive Tie towards themselves in a target.  When using this Evocation, the wearer accepts a Tie towards the target with the same emotional context at the Minor level in exchange for preventing the target from being able to voluntarily erode the Tie to the wearer for (Essence) days.  The wearer may voluntarily erode their version of the Tie as per the normal rules.  Only usable on a target that has no other positive Ties to the wearer.  If a previous target has all their positive Ties worn away, they become relevant targets once again.

Special Activation Rules: So long as the wearer is not Dissonant with soulsteel, this Evocations awakens for free on attunement.

It is the wolf that was once wounded who know where to bite to inflict the most pain.  The wearer shunts the heat of their own emotions onto others, causing them to fall victim to their own ploys.  When subject to Social Influence that would exploit an emotion-based Intimacy, the wearer treats the Intimacy as one level lower for the purposes of altering his Resolve.  If the Intimacy is already Minor, the wearer’s Resolve does not change.  Additionally, the initiate becomes overwhelmed by the feelings their tried to attack.  Their Resolve is penalized as against the same level of Intimacy that they tried to exploit against the wearer when the wearer next uses Social Influence on them

Men and gods do strange things for love.  This Evocation can only be used against a target with a Positive Tie toward the wearer, and only while making Social Influence to convince them to do something.  The target cannot bolster their Resolve using an Intimacy at the same or lower level as the Tie towards the wearer.  Even if this would cause them to violate a Major or higher Intimacy, the magic of Broken Heart rationalizes their feelings until the deed is done, should the social influence work.  The spell breaks once the action is complete, and the victim will be left wracked by the feelings of what they just did.  It is at this point that an Exalt with a Limit Track would roll for Limit if applicable.
