- | Drow are a race of dark skinned Drel-Reev (Elves for you round ears) that live deep underground. Back when the Elves were all one race, the supporters of Rhysvial were exiled to live in tunnels deep beneath the earth, which eventually caused the last survivors to transform into what they are today. Originally, the denizens of the cave slaughtered their poor asses, as they were utterly defenseless against the primordial horrors that lurked below. Then they found solace.
+ | Name: Sor'Kel
Age: 122 |
- | In the form of Serket, one of The Abyssal Lords. The Scorpion Queen had long ruled Drow society for thousands of years after, but eventually they grew fed up with her tyranny and decided to split apart into several different noble lines. The result was what we have today! While many Drow still venerate Serket, others have chosen to split and form their own small communities. The largest are ran by a noble house, a family line that decided to look into a new demonic patron for assistance. Based off the religion, most Drow live a rather harsh life filled with backstabbing each other to become top dog, or perhaps, the priestess of the church. Many Drow, as a result, have chosen to separate themselves from emotional ties and worry only about themselves.

Personality: |
- | Many Drow have decided to simply walk up to the surface in hopes that they find life much less cruel than the underground; that, or they're exiled. Unfortunately they're shunned and generally slaughtered on sight in many countries.

Appearance |
Sor'Kel is about 5'8", with a frame that is rather curvaceous. Her stick-straight hair is white as snow, with lowlights that are black as coal and hangs as low as her hips. Her skin is deep violet, quite nearly black, and her eyes are so light blue that they're nearly white. |
She adorns her face in a variety of makeup: sharp, white arches under her eyes; a single white stripe that bisects her lips, left and right; and white streaks resembling claw marks down her cheeks. She has several piercings on her right here, starting from the lobe and leading to the point, and a single white chain winds through them all. |
- | Name:
+ | She wears a flowing, black dress and a fur-lined, black hooded cloak. The dress hangs just above her feet in the front, exposing her thigh-high leather boots, but trails out behind her in an elegant, layered train. The bodice is fastened with bleached white bones, and the sleeves droop down about a foot once they reach her hands. Her cloak is thick, and the inside is entirely coated in furs. Tucked away inside the hood is a bone mask, bearing a smiling face.
Her clothing has dozens upon dozens of runes tied and sewn into them. Her clothing also has dozens of loops, straps, and pockets, for holding a variety of scrolls, books, and magical ingredients. |

Backstory |
- | Equipment: Drow gear is often crafted of cold steel. It's created from an ore that has a lower melting point than most.
+ | Sor'Kel ascended to the surface when she was 15, hardly a fledgling drow.
Her family was among the top nobles, constantly on guard from other drow families appearing to slay them and take their namesake. Sor'Kel was in training to become a mage that would call upon their ancient roots, and burn away interlopers from reaching them. However, when she was 14, her father was stricken with a sickening madness. He was filled with terror, and in the night, conjured a powerful demon that he gave his soul to, in exchange for power. |
- | Backstory:
+ | Her father was struck with madness as soon as the deal was struck, and his power was unmatched. He tore through the family manor, slaying Sor'Kel's mother right in front of her. With blood dripping down her face, Sor'Kel fled. She listened to her siblings and servants get slain behind her, and ran as long and as hard as she could.
For the next year, she wandered through the underdark, alone and terrified. She hardly escaped from the terrors there, luring them towards one another so they would do battle among themselves instead of with her. |
- | Magic(If any):
+ | One day, she stumbled upon an imp, with its legs trapped beneath a rockslide. She sat with the imp for several days, speaking to it, learning of its trickery and methods, what it did to try and get her to help. Eventually, she promised to help the imp, on the condition that the imp's family help her when they are called upon. The imp was reluctant, but when she held her dagger to the creature's neck, they formed the contract.
|
With the help of the imps, she eventually escaped the underdark and emerged on the surface, deep in Kaenra. In the frozen reaches, she wandered with the imps, avoiding society out of fear that they would slaughter her. |
- | Drows using miracles worship a fucking Abyssal lord. In other words, you'll have to run that by me unless we're assuming your character somehow managed to settle into a community and get accepted enough to venerate one of the other gods.
