Xalon is the enigmatic messenger God of Amelia, and while his main role serves as an important emissary to the creator goddess, he's best known for his insatiable appetite for sport and battle. Xalon is a very important patron to warriors, mercenaries, and courageous hunters -- or just about anyone that wants a good fight, really.

There are three gods that have ascended into Godhood; none of the three are quite so...odd as Rath, who became a God through a simple drunken bet. Once a mercenary with ill-reputation, Rath didn't really get along with most of his employers, as he believed that no man should be given power over another, no matter the circumstances. As a result, he'd often quit or leave his job rather than compromise his ideals. The fact the man was drunk through most of his conversations didn't help either...until he made his fabled pilgrimage, of course.

Xalon is also seen as the great defender of Erilen, and is said to personally disguise himself so that he can handle any potential threat.

One day, Rath was heavily inebriated, and on this day had decided to make the drunken bet of surviving the exposure of the Manastream. Not quite realizing the fact that most die within minutes of stepping near it, he instead decided to do the exact same thing that Helvian did: Hop right into the Manastream.

Relations
17
18
Helvian: Helvian and Rath get along very well, sharing overall the same ideals, were it not for Helvians capricious nature. The two gods are also able to relate to one another due to both being ascended, as opposed to born.
19-
Amelia: Xalon is the right hand of Amelia, and is almost always found in churches honoring her, and vice-versa. The two share a strong bond, and are almost always found at each other's side.

20
Aletrod: The two butt heads quite often, but are able to cooperate and live with one another.
21-
Murielle: Xalon sees Murielle as a worthy battlefield compatriot, and eagerly rushes alongside the Angel of Mercy into battle.
21+
22
Belial: A very well-known rivalry, Belial and Rath never really got along. While Rath agrees that the guilty need to be purged, the controlling and manipulative manner of the Devil-God had always aggravated him.
23-
Aletrod: Xalon and Aletrod are essentially old battlefield compatriots. The two are said to conduct great hunting parties with one another, where they seek out great beasts found throughout the multiverse alongside their most trusted faithful.

Rhysvial: Rhysvial and Xalon butted heads in a far more direct manner than most of the gods, as he was personally responsible for the deaths of countless dragons. It is said that the god had once hacked apart a single ancient dragon to pieces in one on one combat, with his blade alone.

Churches and Clergy
27

28
While Rath doesn't have any actual churches attributed directly to him, shrines or places of worship can be found in various taverns or inns. Most of his clergy consists of adventurers that prefer to live life on the road, and as a result mercenary or adventurer guilds will often be dedicated to him.

Followers of Rath just want to enjoy the simple things of life. They don't want to be bound by harsh laws, and simply wish to be left to their own devices. It should be noted that while Rath's faith enjoys a good drink, they do know the fine line between being merry or abusing it to a certain point.
31-
Churches to Xalon alone are actually incredibly rare and only found within the country of Kaenra, where the people there strongly centered their culture around his teachings. Most churches containing shrines and dedication to Xalon also have shrines attributed to Amelia, Murielle, and more commonly, all three.

33-
Actual 'churches' to Xalon are generally mercenary halls or hunter guilds dedicated to him, such as the legendary Immortals guild found in Malibor, or the Iron Hand in Zerif; both guilds are generally used for contracting mercenaries and adventures that seek glory or coin.

Being one of the most important figures in Erilen, Xalon is generally respected or revered by just about anyone in some shape way or form. Those that devote themselves, however, are generally wandering mercenaries, soldiers, or hunters. Devoting oneself to Xalon is actually quite rare among those outside of Kaenra; as it's universally accepted that all of his followers must one day die in battle, lest they're left outside of his hall with the lesser of warriors.
35+
Rath doesn't use books. He does have a few well-known lines of wisdom, however, which are sometimes posted up on plaques or repeated by clerics.
