  1. Xalon is the enigmatic messenger God of Amelia, and while his main role serves as an important emissary to the creator goddess, he's best known for his insatiable appetite for sport and battle. Xalon is a very important patron to warriors, mercenaries, and courageous hunters -- or just about anyone that wants a good fight, really.
  2.
  3. Xalon is also seen as the great defender of Erilen, and is said to personally disguise himself so that he can handle any potential threat.
  4.
  5. Spheres of Influence: Valor, Honor, and War.
  6.
  7. Symbol: A circle of blades.
  8.
  9.
  10. Depiction: A tall, heavily scarred man who wields many weapons(The weapon generally change in each depiction). Due to his bowmanship, Xalon is most often shown handling or with his bow.
  11.
  12. Month: Lonx, the 2nd month of summer.
  13.
  14. Lord of Daudraheim: The fields of Daudraheim are where all true warriors are said to go after death. Only those that have died in battle are allowed to step within the halls, where they may battle, feast, and die, only to raise up and fight again.
  15.
  16.
  17. Relations
  18.
  19. Amelia: Xalon is the right hand of Amelia, and is almost always found in churches honoring her, and vice-versa. The two share a strong bond, and are almost always found at each other's side.
  20.
  21. Murielle: Xalon sees Murielle as a worthy battlefield compatriot, and eagerly rushes alongside the Angel of Mercy into battle.
  22.
  23. Aletrod: Xalon and Aletrod are essentially old battlefield compatriots. The two are said to conduct great hunting parties with one another, where they seek out great beasts found throughout the multiverse alongside their most trusted faithful.
  24.
  25. Rhysvial: Rhysvial and Xalon butted heads in a far more direct manner than most of the gods, as he was personally responsible for the deaths of countless dragons. It is said that the god had once hacked apart a single ancient dragon to pieces in one on one combat, with his blade alone.
  26.
  27.
  28.
  29. Churches and Clergy
  30.
  31. Churches to Xalon alone are actually incredibly rare and only found within the country of Kaenra, where the people there strongly centered their culture around his teachings. Most churches containing shrines and dedication to Xalon also have shrines attributed to Amelia, Murielle, and more commonly, all three.
  32.
  33. Actual 'churches' to Xalon are generally mercenary halls or hunter guilds dedicated to him, such as the legendary Immortals guild found in Malibor, or the Iron Hand in Zerif; both guilds are generally used for contracting mercenaries and adventures that seek glory or coin.
  34.
  35. Being one of the most important figures in Erilen, Xalon is generally respected or revered by just about anyone in some shape way or form. Those that devote themselves, however, are generally wandering mercenaries, soldiers, or hunters. Devoting oneself to Xalon is actually quite rare among those outside of Kaenra; as it's universally accepted that all of his followers must one day die in battle, lest they're left outside of his hall with the lesser of warriors.

  41. Holy Texts
  42.
  43. Xalon's faith doesn't really have any holy text, save for Our Lady's Garden, which serves more towards him and Amelia than just him alone.
  44.
  45. He does, however, have an entire epic written in his name. Called the Lonskapur, detailing his first journey through ancient Erilen.
  46.
  47.
  48.
  49. Notable Equipment
  50.
  51. Guidance: Xalon's bow is unique in that he doesn't need arrows in order to launch projectiles; they instead manifest upon pulling the string. (Though, he often chooses to notch weapons anyway, for both power and comedic value.) Any projectile fired by Guidance are said to madly curve and chase after his target, rendering it impossible for him to miss his mark.
  52.
  53. Talon of War: Xalon's personal serrated blade. Despite the fancy name and appearance, it's a simple single-edged sword that doesn't have any real magical power.
  54.
  55.
  56. Rituals:
  57.
  58. Most rituals attributed to Xalon are generally only practiced in Kaenra; but common practices include the burning of bodies, and blessings in times of hardship.
  59.
  60. Those devoted to Xalon pray over the body of a worthy foe or beast. Cultures -- such as Kaenra, actually have the body burned as a form of sacrifice.
