-	hyunmi honestly doesn't remember much about the life she had before her parents' murder. it was normal, probably, or normal enough for a family of two people with two completely opposite quirks, and a child that struggled to control both sides of herself. she can really only remember her mother's smile and her father's laugh and how the two of them had given her everything she could have ever asked for in the form of unconditional love and support. she loved her parents and her parents loved her. to the moon and back, and up to the moon again.

-	her parents were murdered the day of her tenth birthday. it was an ambush attack at the restaurant her parents owned. there was no reason for it - her parents were good people, never involved in anything remotely illegal. they just happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. and now they were gone, and hyunmi's soul felt like it had left with them.

-	she moved in with her aunt & uncle days after her parents' death. she had never liked her aunt yewon and uncle jongho, but they were the only family she had left. clearly, they didn't like her either. they complained constantly about how much money they were wasting trying to feed another person, not at all thinking about their own addictions to drugs, alcohol and, gambling that drained them of all their money. her aunt and uncle fought every night and usually the anger and frustration would turn to hyunmi. she was abused, verbally and physically, and would be left on the floor of wherever they cared to leave her at, crying and hurting and broken. she never fought back. she could kill them easily, she knew, and oh, how that temptation gnawed at her mind in the late hours of the night. but she knew how disappointed her parents would be. she couldn't get herself to stoop to the same level as her parents' murderer.

-	by the time she was 15, her uncle died, overdosing on some drug she didn't even care to know the name of. her aunt followed him two years later, killed in a car accident after driving while intoxicated beyond belief. hyunmi was left alone in the shitty house her aunt & uncle lived in with barely enough money to make it through the rest of the month. so she worked, and worked, and worked while she trained, and trained, and trained. it was exhausting being alive, but hyunmi swore she would never rest until she got her revenge.

 BACKGROUND ;
 	minjoo was born to a family heavily involved in the modeling industry with a ceo father and a mother and sister who were both models for her father's company. naturally, minjoo was also very interested in the modeling business and dreamed of one day walking down the runway just like her mother and sister. unfortunately for the young, short and pudgy minjoo, she was told she didn't quite meet the requirements for surviving in the industry. her height and weight were already things kids her age constantly made fun of her for, and hearing it from even her family absolutely devastated her. it didn't help that she was also incredibly reckless and was constantly getting into fights with people at school. honestly, could she really be blamed? she wasn't just gonna stand there when she and her friends were being insulted. it would damage her pride more if she were to just take it. her family greatly disapproved of her fighting antics and always scolded her for it. it felt like she was the disgrace in her family, and it hurt way too much for her to handle. it was humiliating, and took quite a bit of effort on her part to get over it, but eventually she was able to hold her head high again and regain her everlasting confidence.
 	she worked out like crazy, taking up boxing and even going on a couple of extreme diets to lose the extra fat she had (which was never really a problem in the first place, but being around a family of models often screws up your mentality). she's still tiny - that she couldn't really do much about - but at least people would stop making fun of her weight now. she still wasn't allowed into the modeling business but she's determined to find other ways to make her family proud. for one, she's taken quite a big interest in using her quirk more and more. she only ever used it when she was fighting in school but even then she avoided it since it hurt whenever she used it. but after some time and training, she's gotten better control over her quirk and knows how to take the pain.

-	no one really knows much about hyunmi and it's not hard to figure out why. she's silent whenever she's in class, avoids any unnecessary interaction with anything and anyone, and has approximately one and a half friends. her unnervingly quiet nature coupled with an unfortunate serious case of resting bitch face has caused way too many misunderstandings about her to float around the school. there's really too many to keep track of, but all of it pretty much boils down to: she's a mega bitch that absolutely no one should cross if they don't want their hands burnt and ears frozen off. people are tense when she's around but honestly? she's more scared of them than they are of her.

+much like her quirk, minjoo has quite the explosive personality. she's charismatic (she constantly charms her way out of most of the trouble she starts at school) and also quite captivating (she's got a smile that makes every person's heart within a ten meter radius skip a beat and boy, does she know how to use it). she's extremely confident and prides herself in both her looks and strength. she's also recklessly brave and is usually the one who jumps into fights head first whenever she gets even the slightest bit provoked. she easily irritated and will not hesitate to let the rest of the room know when she is. though she has a temper as short as her height, it's actually quite hard to get on her bad side. once you're there, however, there's no going back. she's not one to just casually give out second chances, after all. she's very straight-to-the-point and hates when other people aren't. though her confidence and ego might seem untouchable, she does often worry about being a disappointment. it's why she's constantly doing her best to impress everyone around her. maybe she comes off as a little cocky at times, but she finds that it's better than looking like an absolute weakling.

+HOW YOU MET/WILL MEET ; they sit next to each other in class. the first time they actually talk to each other is when soobin accidentally bumps into someone and almost gets into a fight he's desperately trying to get out of. minjoo comes in to save the day and help the poor baby.
 
-HOW YOU ACT AROUND THEM ; hyunmi was, unsurprisingly, always quiet when they first met. yena would try to talk up a storm as usual and hyunmi would just nod her head slightly and turn away. eventually, she'd warm up to the girl and she found herself actually engaging in conversation. by the end, she no longer minds yena being clingy and even initiates skinship at some point. though she's still scared that she's unlovable, yena is constant reassurance that that's not true at all. she becomes one of the few people hyunmi trusts with her life.
+FIRST IMPRESSION ; soobin's a little scared of her and definitely understands the nickname "little devil", but is extremely thankful. minjoo thinks he's adorable but also, goddamn, why is he so tall????
 
-HOW THEY ACT AROUND YOU ; yena is determined to make friends with hyunmi. she attempts to talk to her constantly and sticks herself around the girl as much as possible. she's not trying to be creepy by essentially following her around everywhere, it's just that hyunmi's too hard to befriend. yena never gives up though and crazily enough, finds herself falling for the silent beauty. yena pretty much acts the same from beginning, middle to end. she does get very flustered whenever hyunmi initiates anything or compliments her.
+HOW YOU ACT AROUND THEM ; she acts friendly enough to begin with but she doesn't really try to get to know him. things change after she first helps him though. minjoo, as much as she says she hates cowardly people, can't help but have a giant soft spot for soobin. she eventually finds herself constantly saving the clumsy giant that is soobin and defends him at all costs. she's tough and prideful, but around soobin she turns into a soft puddle of goo. god, he has her wrapped around his finger and she can't even get herself to be mad about it.
