[Q] What's this Akfamilycord server all about?

[A] This is a small-scale semi-closed family friendly server for discussion of all sorts of game-related topics, not just limited to videos I make on my channel either! At this point it's a tight-knit community of gamers, artists, specialists and more, and we also occasionally host events such as Movie Nights and VRChat gatherings.


[Q] How big is the server?

[A] As of March 22, 2023, we're 540 members strong! The actual active userbase is definitely way less than that though, like I said, this is a very chill community.


[Q] Why don't you just make this server public?

[A] Several reasons, but mainly boiling down to the fact that I don't like large, fully public servers that are a pain to maintain! While I do have a mod team, this server has always been for chiller discussions, and suddenly opening it up as a free-for-all would most likely just incite chaos. However, this doesn't mean we aren't looking for more members, so segway to...


[Q] How do I enter this server...without paying money??

[A] Previously, I posted limited invite codes on Twitter on occasion. Now, the most common way we add new members outside of Patreon is through an INTERNAL INVITE SYSTEM. Existing members of the server can send a limited invite code to friends that they think would be a good fit for the server! I think it's a pretty good way to naturally expand the member circle.
I will however also still post some limited use codes on rarer occasions. Last time I did so, I put a limited-time 25-use link in one of my Year in Review posts on Tumblr. (In the end, only 4 invites were used!) If you regularly follow the stuff I post, perhaps you might stumble upon an invite if you're lucky enough!

[Q] ...and the paid option is?

[A] Anyone who pledges to my Patreon at patreon.com/Akfamilyhome will get a one-way ticket to the server, plus access to additional Patreon-only channels as well!


[Q] ...wait, so do I have to keep pledging to your Patreon? If I stop, will I get kicked out???

[A] Not at all! Pledging to Patreon simply just gives you instant, PERMANENT access (of course, unless you then leave on your own or get kicked for violating the rules.) Even if you only decide to pledge for one month only (so that you basically only pay 1 USD), you'll still remain in the server. Plus, I have a special color role on Discord that's given to all past & present patrons as a thank you! The only thing you'll lose access to if you stop pledging are the channels where I share Patreon-exclusive updates.
