A few rules...


[1.] Forfeits cannot be paid out to! So if we see a result such as the following:

Technically all the forfeiters tied for 3rd, in a 9 entrant race. Well no, that does not mean the remaining 15% will be split up amongst them. No, it will then go to the 70%/30% split in that case. If an even more obscure result is produced, proper action will be taken to distribute the prize money fairly. Bottom line is, as stated right at the beginning: forfeiters will not be paid.


[2.] If we have a number of entrants that does not directly correspond with the payout listings above, it will be rounded DOWN.
For example:
14 entrants: 55% / 25% / 13% / 7% will be used, the 12 entrant-model.
16 entrants: 52% / 25% / 12% / 7% / 4%, the 15 entrant.
and (more obvious) ↓
 4 entrants: 70% / 30%
41 entrants: 48% / 21% / 11% / 8% / 5.5% / 4% / 2.5%


[3.] All of this is pretty much done with PayPal. If you do not have a PayPal account and you place high enough to win prize money, you'll have to create one (doing so is very easy and free). Similarly if you wish to donate, you'll have to have an account. I am using imraising.tv to take donations toward the pot, but that's essentially all done through PayPal as well. Anyhoo, I'll publicly release "proof" of distributing the money to winners like the day after or whatever, since this is kind of all built on trust. I'd like to just settle any potential uneasiness from donors or whatever!


[4.] If you're just playing for fun and are not interested in winning money for a video game race, you are certainly not obligated to accept. In that case, we'll see about other such possibilities as donating the amount to a charity of the winner's choosing, or just adding it to the amount given to other winners. Dunno yet.
