  2. It's somewhere between absolutely fucking unethical, to actually illegal and he just outed his team for cheating like a total idiot.
  3. Kaim [is cold in fl]Today at 8:57 PM
  4. Ayyy...let's not do that name calling thing in our channel. We have a lot of Emilzy supporters and clearly if he thought there was something to hide, he wouldn't have shared it. I don't believe it's in the official rules.
  5. Boon [Media Manager]Today at 8:57 PM
  6. We dont even know if it's cheating yet
  7. cool it
  8. dangodofthunderToday at 8:58 PM
  9. Considering every single pro has said "This is not legal" or "Wait, we could do that?" including the other coaches?
  10. It is at best massively unethical
  11. And he just threw it up on the internet for everyone to see.
  12. Boon [Media Manager]Today at 8:58 PM
  13. If it was the case that it's allowed, then that's the fault of skillshot for not making the rules clear, not the fault of NRG
  14. Kaim [is cold in fl]Today at 8:59 PM
  15. ^^^
  16. dangodofthunderToday at 9:00 PM
  17. Again, at a minimum it's colossally unethical given that so far, Hayzer, PrettyPrime, Quintosh, Variety, and Hurriwind have all basically said that they had no idea that 1. it was permissible and 2. that anyone was doing it.
  18. Kaim [is cold in fl]Today at 9:00 PM
  19. Why is it unethical??
  20. Boon [Media Manager]Today at 9:00 PM
  21. Again
  22. dangodofthunderToday at 9:00 PM
  23. So no, congratulating NRG for figuring out an exploit in the rules is not something to be hi-fiving them over
  24. Boon [Media Manager]Today at 9:00 PM
  25. Its not unethical if its allowed
  26. Kaim [is cold in fl]Today at 9:00 PM
  27. It isn't unethical to have a coach or be coached. Look at every other sport...their coach is HIGHLY involved.
  28. Boon [Media Manager]Today at 9:01 PM
  29. It just means that the rules werent made clear
  30. Besides, they got first rounded at worlds so not like it made a difference LUL
  31. Kaim [is cold in fl]Today at 9:01 PM
  32. And if there isn't a rule against it (which no one has proven there is) then nothing is wrong.
  33. dangodofthunderToday at 9:01 PM
  34. LUL. I love how you're defending them when every pro who responds goes "wait. So you mean we could have played with an extra person the entire time?"
  35. Really?
  36. And multiple players stating that their understanding was that this was 100% illegal
  37. Boon [Media Manager]Today at 9:02 PM
  38. I agree that its bad, but that doesnt automatically put them at fault
  39. we dont have the info yet
  40. DarkDemoniacToday at 9:03 PM
  41. As I am aware you generally cant be coached while in a competitive match
  42. Kaim [is cold in fl]Today at 9:03 PM
  43. @dangodofthunder Where there's no law, there's no transgression.
  44. DarkDemoniacToday at 9:03 PM
  45. in other games i mean
  46. Boon [Media Manager]Today at 9:03 PM
  47. Dont they allow coaches in most mobas?
  48. DarkDemoniacToday at 9:03 PM
  49. after games
  50. Boon [Media Manager]Today at 9:03 PM
  51. i dont know
  52. DarkDemoniacToday at 9:03 PM
  53. when they leave the stage but not while on stage except bans
  54. dangodofthunderToday at 9:03 PM
  55. @Boon [Media Manager] They're not allowed during LAN's except between games.
  56. That's explicit
  57. like they gotta be off comms and can't communicate during games at LAN
  58. Boon [Media Manager]Today at 9:04 PM
  59. you on about smite or others?
  60. cause this game wasnt a lan
  61. DarkDemoniacToday at 9:04 PM
  62. Some Smash tourneys have said you can be coached between matches and others say you cant be coached until the set is over
  63. dangodofthunderToday at 9:04 PM
  64. The understanding literally every single team had was ranging from "We won't do it online" to "You can't do it online"
  65. Again, it's not ililegal to be unethical.
  66. Boon [Media Manager]Today at 9:05 PM
  67. I know emil and I know he wouldnt put this out if he thought there was something unto ward going on
  68. Kaim [is cold in fl]Today at 9:05 PM
  69. You can think it's wrong all you want, and I don't care if people disagree...but if you start attacking others and calling them names in the public channels, you'll see yourself removed. So just keep it civil.
  70. Boon [Media Manager]Today at 9:05 PM
  71. He does these videos because he knows people want to watch the content
  72. Kaim [is cold in fl]Today at 9:05 PM
  73. ^^^
  74. dangodofthunderToday at 9:05 PM
  75. I know Emil as well and I think he's legitimately not smart enough to have realized that he did something wrong.
  76. Boon [Media Manager]Today at 9:06 PM
  77. you clearly dont know him as well as I do then
  78. Kaim [is cold in fl]Today at 9:06 PM
  79. And as I said, if he thought it was cheating, do you really think he'd share it? Of course he wouldn't.
  80. @dangodofthunder last warning, to be nice.
  81. dangodofthunderToday at 9:06 PM
  82. LIke he's probably reading every other pro's responses and going "Wait, what? Why is this a controversy?"
  83. I will pass on the warning in favor of speaking my mind.
