  1. I survived September.
  2.
  3. It's an amazing feat if you ask me.
  4.
  5. At the beginning of last month, I was on my way to work. Was going to stop at McDonalds to get breakfast on the way. I was on the phone with my amazing girlfriend Des, hands free of course. I get to a four way crossing I've encountered enough times before. But something happened, which I've forgotten in how everything went by so fast. When I came back to my senses, I found myself in a terrible accident. My car was totaled and I was only half a second away from a much worse collision. I was fortunate to be on a busy road, where people came to my help. And Des was with me the entire time until I was pulled away into the ambulance.
  6.
  7. I was taken to a hospital right away and was taken care of right away. Got cut up badly on my left eyebrow and my left wrist. Was sent up to rest. I soon found out that my main injury was a fractured sternum. It was bad enough of an injury, but thankfully nothing worse. After a really bad fainting spell when trying to go to the bathroom that night, I was sent to ICU. My parents came to see me as soon as they could and they took me back to my place as soon as I was able to leave the hospital. Thankfully I was only in the hospital for less than 48 hours.
  8.
  9. I went over to the towing place with my parents to see the car and to have the title signed over. It was then that everything dawned on me about how serious of a crash I was in. I broke down crying.
  10.
  11. Des arrived a day or so after my parents got here to stay with me and to take care of me for the week after I got out of the hospital. Bless her so much, I'm so thankful for her being in my life. She helped me get out and in bed, helped with the laundry, making sure I was fed, and looked out for my mental and emotional well-being. I don't know what I'd do without her. I miss her so much.
  12.
  13. No thank you to my landlord for being an asshole toward Des, making inappropriate comments about her, and not really acting sympathetic. At least I only have a month left here.
  14.
  15. It has been a month since then. I have recovered just about fully, to the point where it no longer really hurts for me to get in and out of bed, reach for stuff, or cough and sneeze. I still need to see the doctor to be fully cleared to drive again, but that will not be until the very end of this month. The job has been going very well, and I am approaching the 2/3 point of my seasonal employment. At least it seems like the rougher parts of my job are behind me.
  16.
  17. Internet is still going to be very limited, so I will try to stop by the library and keep everyone updated when I can on things. My mobile data is very limited, my data plan isn't quite large, and the phone reception hasn't been the greatest. I've been keeping myself busy in the meantime. Usually speedrun routing, casually playing games, or watching the movies I keep on checking out from the library. Maybe I'll actually read a book again when I can. Like the Discworld books.
  18.
  19. What am I going to do after this month? I'll be staying with Des, where I will be able to rest for a while, be with her, and figure out what I am going to do from here. I guess that is it.
