background:
   - even though she comes from a fairly rich family of aristocrats, she never liked that kind of life style ever since yeonmi was a little girl. her mother was very strict and educated her in etiquette. she taught her how to behave in public, how to walk, speak, eat and dress in fancy clothes as if she was a royal. yeonmi never liked it, she never was a fan of the fancy tea parties that her mother hosted nor she was interested in her father's talks about politics.
   - instead she would always sneak out of the house in casual clothes and go to her grandparents house where they taught her about art. her grandma also made her realize that being fancy and elegants is much less important than being polite, humble and selfless.
   - on her walks, yeonmi would often stop in the town and draw the residents in their natural habitat. many people remember her as the girl who always rushed to help anyone who needed it, the girl who always found a deeper meaning in everything and the girl who created smiles on the faces of those who didn't have such luck to live like her and had to live in humility and modesty
   - yeonmi has never underwent anything depressing or tragical in her life other than a few minor arguments with her parents about how she dresses or acts in public because she just doesn't reach their fancy standarts.

personality:
   - one of the good traits of this girl is that she's very honest. not only when she is asked some question but also in her artworks. she says and draws only what she sees and is true, no matter what the consequesnces of doing so might be. she isn't scared to take responsibility for her actions because she just hates lying.
   - she tends to be a perfectionist, especially when it comes to her artwork. she doesn't care how long it will take her, she just wants the paiting to be without any flaws. she is very patient and so she doesn't mind that she might end up sitting and drawing for hours. mostly she concentrates so much on working that she doesn't ever realize how long she's been working for.
   - how it was already stated above, she learned that being well-behaved is very important. yeonmi is very humble and selfless and a big fan of equality and justice. she ignores her mother's orders not to interact with people who are poorer than herself and always goes to the town and visits the markets, where she talks to people and draws and sometimes even plays with the little kids or helps people to sell their goods.
   - with her honestly comes one little problem though. sometimes she's just too honest and it can cause her troubles. she's a very talkative and open person which means that if she's comfortable around someone, she will talk and talk and won't know when to stop. she says whatever she wants and doesn't realize what everything she had said until later. to keep it short, she sometimes may be blunt and secrets aren't safe with her.
   - if you say something upseting or offensinve, no matter about who, she will call you out and at that moment her words might be sharper than a knights sword. she is strictly against judging people when she doesn't know them that well.

reason to ball:
   - not many people knew that she was a good artist, but her father. people always saw her scribbling in her notebook but they never realized how talented she actually is. even though it always looked like her father never paid any attention to her and cared only about his business, opposite is the true. he made a full use of the people he knew and send some of her pieces to the king to consider invinting her to paint for him. he didn't expect her to be invited to the ball but was only satisfied with what he accoplished. yeonmi at first wanted to decline but once her mother got to know the news, there was no way to not attend.

how did you meet: yeonmi was invited to capture the mood of the ball on a canvas, however she found herself observing the people more than doing her work. even though she wasn't a big fan of fancy dresses, she found something beautiful in the clothes and the masks. especially one boy who looked like he was having the time of his life. she found herself yearning for a dance with him thanks to his charms that seemed to be a weakness of every girl at the ball and maybe questioning him about his flirty attitude and the reason as to why he was there. once she was finished with her painting, she rushed to change in her dress that she had taken with her as well as lacy black mask. she then wandered around the dancing floor until she found him, smiling softly as she bowed to him, agreeing when she was asked for a dance. she started talking to him, asking why he was there. the boy kept staring into her eyes intently as he did his best to remember them. she recieved only an inexact question with a following smirk to which she frowned. before she managed to ask another question, he asked her the same. she just shrugged and answered that she had came because she wanted. however he saw through her lie when he noticed the dried paint on her fingers.

interactions: he shamelessly takes her hand and even interlocks their fingers as they wander around the town. he likes to braid her hair when she paints so she wouldn't get it dirty. the boy also gets very touchy-feely at times, placing his hand on her thigh or cupping her cheek whenever he gets the chance to get her all flustered. yeonmi doesn't really know who he is and thinks that he's a normal citizen living in the town and so she gets him to sneak into the royal gardens with him, thinking how rebelious that is. he often goes to the market and buys the most unnecessary stuff just to see her and talk to her about stuff like weather.

♥ beginning: after the ball he longed to see her more and more often. his friend who was often in the town mentioned that there was a girl who draws people at the markets a lot and that it might be her. he took his advice and went there, smirking when he realized that it indeed was her. he then spends more and more time with her, usually letting her talk because he just loved her voice. he doesn't reveal his identity to her because he knows that she doesn't really care about statuses and hates violence the most. he even threatens the citizens not to tell her who he really is. yeonmi grows closer and closer to him to the point where she thinks about him all the time. they can't be labeled as a couple but the amount of skinship grows bigger and bigger. she almost even gives her virginity to him. almost.

♣ middle:     slowly jungkook starts realizing that by spending so much time with her, he forgets about his role in the kingdom. he always wanted to be the best but lately isn't doing anything than just jumping around the girl. when she refuses to have something more intimate with him just yet, he realizes that she's been changing him too much, no matter if it's his flirty attitude and plays with the girls or the attitude towards his occupation. he stops visiting her and whenever she reaches him, he excuses himself with that he's really busy and always avoids her questions.

♦ end: yeonmi is heartbroken by his actions but tries to occupy her mind so that she doesn't think about him. if she's not worth his time, he's not worth hers. she helps the people in the town more and more, she draws more and smiles through her pained heart. the boy however is always deep in thoughts about her, getting injured in almost every of his practice because he just can't focused. he thinks about her a lot and starts regretting what he has done. he realizes that the change maybe would he so bad. he knows that if he gave up on her now that he will never get to talk to her again. and that's something he doesn't want. he's determined to gain her back no matter what.

requested scene:
   - yeonmi visits her grandmother and they cook a diner together, talking about everything that has happened since the ball. yeonmi tells her about tae as well and her granny gets all excited, talking the young girl into inviting him over. and that's exactly what she will do.
   - yeonmi and the love interest go to the royal garden, he helps her climb up the wall, which makes her laugh and say that it's a lot easier when they are two and that they should do it more often. he scolds her playfully, saying that if she's any louder, they will get caught. then they just sit on the grass close to a artificial pond and talk, his arms wrapped around her waist.
   - he talks to his closest friend about her and he chuckles, saying how much in love he is and that he looks ridiculous when he daydreams about yeonmi. he doesn't actually mean it and congratulates him on finally doing something with his life. the boy isn't happy at that time though since he knows he's been avoiding her and probably even hurt her a lot.
   - after he realized that he doesn't want to lose her, he comes to her house every night and leaves roses by her door along with a letter where he writes his sincere apology and what he loves about her.
