- Population Rule - Pure Energy: This rule replaces all population rules. In addition to being a highly catchy song from the 1980's your race does not procreate, or even really lives. It simply exists. Remove your population stat and add it to your power. If your home star is destroyed your race ceases to exist.
- Cultural Rule - Crystal Will: You add your power to espionage rolls made to influence other races.
- Ghosts. Angels. Gods. History has called them many names and written many forms.
- They have swelled undisturbed in the stars, the solar winds, in lightning bolts, in the aurora's of planets. Beings of pure energy. They are vast and diverse, some so insignificant they exist for not more than a few nano-seconds, others have existed for eons, some have simply just "been". Those of them who achieve sentience rarely know of the existence of the so called "material plane" and for the most part, few of them ever see it nor have anyway to interact with it.
- However, one particular group, has discovered a way to interact with the material plane.
- The most powerful and ancient of them have figured out that mass and energy are in fact, related, and even convertible. By changing their own energies to match the dimensions of matter, they now know how to interact with this universe. They have also found that some forms of matter, in particular crystals, assist them in concentrating their energetic will on this plane.
- Gifted with the innate knowledge of how to manipulate energy to their needs, they have already begun to interact with the material realm for millions of years, manipulating the material realm and those beings of matter who dwell in it.
- There are not very many of them, and few races may experience the visitation of one in their lifetime.
- But. . .there are places where more of them dwell.
- Around the swirling vortex's of black holes, and in the fiery depths of the greatest stars, where gravity is so strong it draws in energy and even light does not escape. These places of the extremes of gravity they find it easiest to coalesce their energetic form into solid mass.
- The greatest cluster of these beings exists in the very heart of the Galaxy.
