  3. Beware fake EasyCaps/EzCAPs

  5. Think twice from where You buy Your Easycap/EzCAP - there is many copymakers in China for
  6. EasyCaps/EzCAPs and the cheapest one is always more likely also fake. Fake product can
  7. look like an original, but the quality is in most case very bad and it can go broken easily. Besides that
  8. the components inside the main unit can be totally different and the quality of the video and audio
  9. is much worse than in the genuine device.

  11. Identifying the genuine EasyCap DC60 v2.1c:
  12. - "EasyCAP" text in the main unit is printed with white color
  13. - Installation CD is yellow
  14. - RCA connectors are gold plated
  15. - The name of the 32bit video driver is Syntek STK1150 or Syntek STK1160 with Philips SAA7113 chipset
  16. - The name of the 64bit video driver is STK1160 ATV BDA with Philips SAA7113 chipset
  17. - The name of the 32 & 64bit video driver is STK1160 Grabber with Syntek 8113 chipset
  18. - The name of the 32bit and 64bit audio driver is USB Audio Interface or USB Audio Device with Philips SAA7113 chipset and with Syntek 8113 chipset
  19. You can find those names of the USB video and audio drivers from the Device Manager's Sound, video and game controllers.

  24. Identifying the genuine EasyCap DC60+ v3.1B:
  25. - "EasyCAP" text in the main unit is printed with silver color
  26. - Installation CD is purple/white and the newest version of disc is called: EzCAP version 3.1C
  27. - RCA connectors are gold plated
  28. - The name of the video driver is USB 2861 Device or WDM 2861 Device
  29. - The name of the audio driver is USB EMP Audio Device
  30. - On the latest retail package is printed also "Windows 7" both front side and back side

  37. Version v3.1A was on the market many years ago and if You still find that model, so it is probably fake.
  38. Beware also product called EasyCap DC60++, because it is a fake product with stolen license keys.
