Style & Appearance: Daft Monk is a beatific young woman who is rarely seen without a smile on her face or headphones on her ears. She boasts a statuesque figure clad in a stylish yet
comfortable black leotard with red gym pants and a matching vest. She usually carries around a set of mala beads, her skateboard, and her favorite backpack, all of which appearing to be worn out but very much loved.

Bio: Daft Monk is cheerful and always ready to make new friends. She does her best to embody the ideal of freedom in mind, body, and spirit. Though she seems naive and unconcerned, she just knows that everything will work out in the end. She tends to wear her emotions on her sleeve, expressing them freely and honestly. But she is also brazen and improprietous, caring little for personal space, shame, or decorum.

Background: Melissa Laforte has lived most of her life as a migrant. She was constantly on the move and worked odd jobs whenever she needed to get a meal or gas up the van she lived out of. When her van finally died in SoCal, she sold it and used the money to buy a ticket on a boat that was heading to the garbage isle known as Velo City. Despite it's frantic and oppressive environment, she has never felt more at peace. Maybe this would be the place she'd finally call home.
