  1. I follow that Cranbrook graphics guy, Elliot (something) I like how he has plans for building the logic behind an aesthetic direction. This studio practice check list is cool! I have thought about incorporating some of his posts into a Studio Methodology class that I teach in the winter for grad students.
  2. Hey, go see the Art faculty show and Design show in the new BYU Arts building. It’s pretty museum like. It’s near the SW entrance. PS When I was applying to grad school I got accepted to Cranbrook but it was after I was already at Washington U. It is a monastic sort of set up with little ivy covered private studios in the woods (I saw it on my mission) but it’s for rich people. Private without significant scholarships. That and RISD (both highly rated) are two of the most expensive things you can do in art school. IE if you go to Ohio State you get a good faculty and facilities, full ride for acceptance, and teaching stipend and a working stipend. (But Columbus isn’t very sexy) I've had several ceramics and sculpture BFA students go there over the years.
