- Pecan Squares 13" x 9" pan 375 degrees F
- 3/4 (= 0.75) cup butter
- 1 cup sugar (you can do half white and half brown)
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 1 egg white
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1. Cream the butter and sugar
- 2. Beat in egg yolk and vanilla
- 3. Stir in flour, blending well
- 4. Pat mixture evenly in a greased baking pan
- 5. Brush top with slightly beaten egg white
- 6. Scatter pecans evenly over the dough, then press them in
- 7. Bake until golden (~15 minutes)
