  4. Hello! Thank you for navigating to this page. It means a lot. Feel free to read as much or as little as you please. Thanks!
  5.
  6. So, over the 27 or so months that I've had subscriptions running on my Twitch channel (2 separate eras...), it was my goal except when it wasn't to send out a monthly 'newsletter' to subs 👌. My biggest problem with doing so was that I discussed a lot of stuff where I thought to myself, "Gee, shouldn't everyone be hearing about this though?" So now I find myself at an interesting place, trying something that I saw TriHex do before, where basically an update is put out with "exclusive" info/content to subscribers. I'm going to give it a shot and maybe continue doing so if I feel like I like the turn out.

  8. What's been happening lately?
  9.
  10. Spyro 1 120%, and a lot of it. Fairly obvious by the tons of hours of it streamed over the last 2 months. Some of you were surprised to see me keep going after obtaining 1:23:37 last weekend. Cue "No Brakes" by the Offspring. I want more! For much of my time speedrunning, I've given up too easily on achieving harder goals, "settling" on most categories, far from my optimum potential. Guess that's why I always return to the same games? I wanted to really look at 120 as a long term project and have succeeded in doing so so far. Long term, to me, implies having all the patience I can possibly gather, both short term (each run) and long term (months); combating the poor mindsets we fall victim to while grinding; being determined as all hell; and staying focused, playing out the run as many times as I need to to build mastery not just in the beginning/first half, but everywhere -- mastery that can't always come with practice, but endgame ~experience~, playing it during an actual run.
  11.
  12. As a follow up, the last 2 months I mentioned 3 goals of mine that weren't actually PB goals. Those were
  13. A) sub 26 peace keepers
  14. B) sub 40 magic crafters
  15. C) get my sum of best as low as I can (approach every level as its own mini-run, using the shitloads of resetless I did)
  16.
  17. This month, unlike last month, I'm happy to say both A and B have been met. The runs that met these goals didn't end up a PB, but it was pretty sick to get those paces. As for sum of best, as low as I tracked it, it hit 1:21:19, but every time I track a sum of best after a period of time, my mind "fills in the blanks" and at that point I know what my sum of best truly could be. This "theory sum of best" should be 1:20:XX, which makes me want to set my final endgoal for 1:22. And "end" couldn't possibly have more meaning here even though people claim you're never truly done with speedrunning. I would never aim to improve a 1:22, bar some very weird, impactful discovery that saves a lot of time everywhere, like faster charging. I even mentioned on stream multiple times how 1:22 wasn't a thing.. how I'd have to be mad. Well I accept the possibility of failure, of burn out, but as it stands now, 1:22 is what I'm setting my sights on before stopping.

  24. Upcoming / future stuffs?
  25.
  26. "Sprashfecta" on December 3rd. Big race of Spyro 1 - 3 & Crash 1 - 3 100% categories happening thru SpeedRunsLive. I don't know how many will partake this year, but it should be a cool time. NotVanni, Beuchiism, and Spudlyman will for sure be good channels to tune into that day (I'm afraid I am uncertain of anyone else confirmed for the race). I wanted to join in myself, but I work that day and I don't own Crash 1. I decided I won't join. :(

  28. Maybe the occasional return of Yugioh:FM weekend races. Beating the game a little more often always sounds charming. Of course there's no point voyaging out on a 10(??) hour game if I'm not fully invested in playing, which I've learned plenty of times. I'd just like to be on top of letting people know best when or when not to expect my participation on Sundays. The races have a special place in our hearts, racers and spectators alike.

  30. AGDQ2017. Super excited. This year, I won't be in attendance, but watching from home for the first time since 2013 (I was AT the last 3) sounds fun in its own right. I know plenty of us are eagerly awaiting.

  36. I just wanted to go a bit into detail about how I have been or what I've been up to or something.

  38. Some of you know I was looking for a job for a while between the months of like late Aug to early Oct or so. Some of you also surely know that I have now been working as a food delivery driver for almost 2 months now. Jimmy John's: not pizza, but sub sandwiches. I've talked on stream a bit about how this job is. I like it a lot. It compares to speedrunning/streaming in almost every single way so that's interesting lol. I can drive the speed limit, 8-10 above (generally legal), 15-20 above (better make sure no cops are around). I can either run in a hurry or walk the times I'm on foot. The speed element is fairly obvious in this job. There's routing. Driving through major streets, neighborhood streets. on the fly routing given time of day -- which roads will be congested, etc. The aspect of familiarity. The delivery range is about 2 × 4 miles, which actually encompasses a lot more area than it sounds. I am not 100% familiar with every single road/building/apt. complex yet. far from. working on it. CYCLES. Cycles are huge: traffic lights!!!! I don't know. I'm just typing up a storm over here. I find it really interesting is all. If you own a car, I'd recommend a delivery driver job to anyone who isn't already doing something better. Ends up paying really well for something so easy and honestly fun, mind you your car will need a lot more attention... Oh there's also the 'constant improvement that you never saw coming' thing comparable to speedrunning as well. Honing a skill, can be said about anything, I guess. I'm a spaz and this paragraph proves it but yeah. :^) 👍

  40. Living away from home has been pretty neat. It's something I've only done for a few months out of my life, at two separate points. Once with my brother, and this time with my girlfriend, April/Aprilcake. I think April and I both have gotten a ton of life experience and have had numerous a positive experience so far. We're having a nice time and somehow managing to maintain the level of responsibilities to keep afloat. OpieOP Though we haven't done much in the way of streaming together, that's always been something I would like to feel more comfortable doing, so maybe someday you could expect that.

  42. Every day it's like I see so much more potential in my actions, the way I conduct myself, whatever, on stream and off. But I can't reach it most of the time. I feel like I'm getting so wise but unable to communicate it outwardly. At the same time, I know practically nothing and accept it. I look at the people around me. my peers. in person or over the internet. I feel like I have all the answers but none of them. Till then, I'll keep doin' what I'm doin'.

  44. My physical health: solid 8/10
  45. mental health: interesting/10
  46. overall contentment/happiness with life: 8/10

  48. Probably the highest I'd rate some of those in a long time. Things are looking swell

  52. Honestly, at this point, this pastebin has been 48 hours in the making. I like to release this kind of thing on the 1st of every month. It is now the 3rd :/. Every time I sat down to write stuff, I couldn't really think of much. Truth is, I genuinely don't have much to say. I'm surprised I made it this far. I wish I had tons of interesting stuff to update you guys on or whatever, but it simply isn't the case.
  53.
  54. and with that, this is being made public. there may be some obnoxious typos/whatever but I really don't want to reread it one last time. what's there is there!
  55.
  56. Thanks a ton, everyone. The activities I am able to go about over the internet mean so very much to me and most of them are made possible by, well, anyone who would find themselves at this page. ta-ta for now♥
