end of the road

hey so basically im done speedrunning aa/speedrunning entirely (?)

going to still play these last few days but not really expecting much cuz my runs have been horrendous lately
i started aa about 2 years ago and it's been quite the journey since then. got second place a bunch of times but never quite enough.
not to sound too bitter, but it's really frustrating seeing aa get attention and hype solely through and based around feinberg--feels like people don't actually care for the category and it would be pretty irrelevant without him. when i was on my best pace/run ever i had like 20 viewers probably, no pacepal, not really much attention; idk it's stupid to care about other ppls opinions but it does get to me. also i kind of just hate playing the category now, there's not much new tech or interesting ideas and it's just resetting off of 1 biome every run.

the any% portion of my speedrunning career--it was fun, i dont regret it, but yeah i moved on a long time ago. cool that i got a few wrs i guess

im leaving for college again in about 2 weeks and im not planning on speedrunning at all while there. when im back home for breaks i want to spend time with family and friends instead of just using it as my few days in the year to speedrun competitively; also i want to focus on other hobbies like cubing, music, etc.

ill still be around doing other stuff and ill be around the community and hosting events but not really speedrunning myself anymore
