- Alice and her group of dolls is a battle which is nearly impossible if you go in without a strategy, but fairly simple if you know what you're doing. For preparations, you will be targetted by quite a number of PAR and SIL inducing spells, so make sure that you have some equipments to counteract them on your tanks. Also, if some of your characters have about 500-550 HP, try to boost their HP a bit to aid their chance of surviving.
- At the start of the fight, you will obviously have to deal with Alice's three dolls. Healing Light will normally either cast a multi-target healing spell that restores about 700 HP, or cast Weakening Prayer which will attempt to severely debuff a character. However, if either Alice or the other two dolls' HP fall below about half, Healing Light will target them with a single-target heal that restores about 10000 HP. This makes it a primary opponent to pick off first, but it is made difficult by the fact that Beautiful Light and Magical Light will immediately max out Healing Light's defense buff at the start of the fight (and will refresh it when the buffs run below 50%). Beautiful Light and Magical Light themselves will simply attack you with medium-damage single target physical attacks and fairly weak target-all elemental magical attacks respectively when not buffing, while Alice will just attempt to hit you with single-target status spells, or cast Artful Sacrifice, a single target physical spell that factors in so much defense that it will likely bounce off tanks.
- Trying to kill Healing Light through all the defense buff is the main annoyance in this phase, but luckily your opponents will not put up much of a fight at this point. Alice is completely ignorable more or less, and the two attacker dolls don't do too much damage either. Do note that Weakening Prayer can really cripple though; if Healing Light uses it on too many characters you will want to find a chance to cure them with Demarcation. For the killing part, Silent Selene is your best bet, although most strong single-target spells will work. Healing Light is also fully vulnerable to poison, which can help. If Alice's two dolls are giving you problems, know that Beautiful Light is vulnerable to PAR and Magical Light is vulnerable to debuffs. Landing a speed debuff on Magical Light is easy to do, and will significantly reduce the number of turns it will get, which makes it safer for low MND characters such as Youmu or Chen to get in.
- When Healing Light is dead, the other two dolls will simply continue to act as they do, but Alice herself will drop her single target spells. She will now attempt to either use Silent Cloud to inflict SIL on your entire party, or attack with Artful Sacrifice, Seeker Dolls and rarely, Little Legion. Seeker Dolls is a MYS-elemental target-all spell that isn't anything special in terms of damage, but it can debuff the DEF of your party, making Artful Sacrifice a bit more dangerous. Little Legion is the real headache of the fight, however - it's a non-elemental target-all physical spell that can easily do up to 500-550 damage. Even your high DEF tanks will likely take over 400. This is probably the most dangerous phase in the fight so far, and your success here more or less hinges on Alice keeping Little Legion to a minimum. Ideally, you will want to simply not have your non-tanks out when Alice gets a turn, but between her other two dolls' attacks it can get impractical. Use strong multi-target attacks as well as status vulnerabilities here (all targets here are fully vulnerable to poison as well) to kill the dolls quickly, hopefully without having your key members killed in the mean time. Patchouli is highly helpful here, as she can basically disregard Magical Light's attacks with her high MND, and can hide from Beautiful Light's attacks by staying in the back, while blasting away with Royal Flare and Silent Selene, although anyone who can be counted on to take a wind spell or two while dealing damage back will be useful.
- Finally, when all of her dolls are dead, Alice will adopt another pattern where she will use Return Inanimateness (a strong single-target physical spell), Seeker Dolls, Little Legion and Silent Cloud with equal probability. Little Legion is a real problem now, if you allow her the chance to hit your non-tanks. However, Alice is fairly slow for a boss, and most of her attacks have high delay. Without her dolls distracting you, it's a lot easier now to simply switch in fodders or empty slots to ensure your healers don't get hit by anything from her. A depleted team will have a lot of trouble pulling through, but if at this point you still have a tank, Minoriko, and some damage dealers standing and free of crippling status (Chen and Wriggle are very helpful here), it should be easy to pull off a victory.
- Another strategy is to boost your party with Lunar Clock and destroy either Magical Light or Beautiful Light in between heals with the strongest spells you have, but this tends to require a higher level than aiming for Healing Light. The advantage is that Alice doesn't change phase until Healing Light is dead, which means less time spent in the hectic phase 2.
