PERSONALITY ˩
- mi-suk is a very multi-faceted person; her people skills lead her to be able to create a sort of different personality and facade for each person she interacts with, while at the same time keeping a cohesive personality that she is comfortable playing. her innocent nature isn't a complete lie; she is quite unaware of many parts of the real world, due to her sheltered nature as a child, but a lot of it is an act on a stage, as she isn't quite the innocent persona she displays. her reasoning for creating this fake sort of person is that she's afraid of the person that she truly is, and believes that everything that happened to her as a child thanks to the actions of her father was the fault of hers and that if she had changed herself those events may not have happened. she's a pretty messed-up individual, but her innocent and yet also confident facade helps her to feel as though she's in control of her own actions, and that faking it, is a step towards making it a real thing.
- she's a quietly confident person, both in herself and in her abilities, due to her relative popularity as a student in high-school and her social skills. she knows what she's good at, knows that she can get people to do what she wants by getting close and telling them, showing them what they want to see.
- she's skilled with people, and she's a good speaker, relating to her skills in writing. she's skilled in twisting her own and others words, as well as crafting stories and webs of lies. she could be compared on the surface to iago from othello, in which she keeps up a mask, made by her own lies in order to cover her own weaknesses.
- mi-suk is a very down-to-earth and realistic person, being quite humble about her own abilities and skills, and far from a boaster. it's one of the many reasons people like her, along with her sweet personality, and is a good person to talk to, in order to get things off your chest. however, all those things and problems that shes made privy to are kept away for the right moment.
- she's a pathological liar. no way to soften it, it's what she is. she makes excuses that tie perfectly into each other, is able to make an act of her personality and nature. she's good at lying, and that's what makes her dangerous, as you can't tell at all. her tendencies are, as said above, based on her fear of herself and what her original nature could result in, due to her fear of her father and the messed-up-ness of her childhood.

- she's a hard worker (definition of 'the devil works hard but (  ) works harder') and is rigidly determined, working to the point of passing out, as she always seems as though she's needing to make up for whatever she's lacking in. she burns out easily because of this, however, and needs to be reminded to take a rest, take a break in order to not pass out in class or in a cafe, as she has done many a time.
- mi-suk is quite an intelligent person, used to observing other people, and studying as hard as she can, always pressured by herself and her family to succeed. her skills lie in her people skills and the practical application of her knowledge and skills to situations. she's also confident in her abilities with her reading and writing (needed for her history major) and while she's not a genius, she's always done well with math classes. she's bright and aware of her surroundings, but only when she wants to be.
she tends to ignore what she doesn't want to see, and doesn't want to get involved in; she keeps a blind eye to what she doesn't like and sees and hears what she wants to. while she's protective of others, that loyalty can fluctuate depending on the level of risk to herself and her own skin.
- mi-suk is emotional, paranoid and afraid of herself, but her own pride keeps those parts of her locked away, and she doesn't let anyone see her insecurities, afraid of what they may think about her.

- KIM EUN-JI , 44 , seamstress. the two are very close, and have a relationship based on their mutual love for spicy food and their mutual hatred for her father. mi-suk is very protective of her mother, and would probably die for her.
- KIM BYUNG-HO, 47, physical therapist. mi-suk despises him, as he's been nothing but cruel to her and her mother; she has no idea why or why he ever pursued a family life if he was going to treat it like this. thinly veiled hatred.

LIKES ˩
- action movies; the flashier the better. superhero themed ones are her favourite, but she also loves man vs nature flicks. however, she also loves art house and festival films, linking back to her childhood with her mother, who liked to gush over film costuming.
- the time in between the sun setting and the moon rising; twilight is her favorite time of the day, because of the colors of the sky and the sense of peace that comes from it. she loves to go up to the rooftop of the apartment building (locks mean nothing to her) and she'd happily sit up there all evening with nothing but a jacket and something to fiddle with in her hands.
- spicy food. she'd easily down a bottle of tabasco sauce or ghost pepper chili and hardly blink; at this point, people are convinced that she doesn't have taste buds, and they may well be correct, at the rate she consumes spice.
- she's one of the most unlikely people to play, but she's
- this one pillow that her roommate bought her for christmas the year previous; it's full of lavender and goose down, and it's one of her most prized possessions.
- loud noises. she loves thunderstorms and watching lighting rip the sky apart, loves the chatter of people around her, reminding her that she's not alone. the noises of the city and apartment building are one of her favorite things, and she can't sleep without some sort of noise near her; whether it be the hum of a fan, or the clicking of the broken arm of the manekineko she has on her shelf.
- coffee flavored things. while coffee itself is good, she's always on the hunt for chocolate and candy that taste like caffeine, just for the reason that she likes the taste.
- people playing with her hair. she loves the feeling and it makes her feel super sleepy, which is great, since she has trouble falling asleep unless she's on dangerous levels of rest.
DISLIKES ˩
- actually sort of afraid of the dark. she has a kids nightlight plugged into a socket in the corner of her room, in the shape of a smiley-faced moon, and if she is in the dark, she's going to be clinging to the person nearest to her. this is because of a 'punishment' given to her by her father after she broke a mug; being locked in the closet for three hours as a six-year-old doesn't do much for you as a person.
- people tapping their fingers on a table, or clicking a pen incessantly. it annoys the hell out of her, and it just causes her to never be able to focus on the task at hand.
- the heat. she hates the feeling of being gross and sweaty and the heat just makes her feel fatigued.
- despite her love for action movies, and not being that squeamish, she doesn't like horror movies, because of the jumpscares. she doesn't have good memories with surprises and shocks thanks to her father, and so she stays far away from horror.
- green tea. it tastes weird to her.
- arrogant people, and people who believe that they're above others for any reason.
- unsurprisingly, her father. daddy issues galore, stemming from neglect and borderline abuse; it was worse for her mother, and that didn't do anything to sympathize her to her father in any way.

- it's rumored that she once drank a thermos full of black coffee and red bull before class in high school, after which she allegedly looked her literature teacher in the eye, announced that she was going to die, and then went on to get the highest grade she'd ever gotten on any test and then didn't sleep for three days.
- bites her bottom lip when concentrating.
- has no musical skill whatsoever. tone deaf and unskilled in instruments, her roommate has earplugs for a reason, and are most in use whenever she goes out to the karaoke bar with her friends.
- always has loose change in her pockets; it's perfect for when she needs anything from vending machines and for deciding who's doing the dishes that night.
- she's one of the most unlikely people to play, but she's fairly good at chess. nowhere near a national level, but she plays casually, and her roommate has learned not to say no when she pulls out the homemade board, with its sharpied squares and plastic pieces found at an op shop.
- she always needs to have something to fiddle with or to do with her hands, as she struggles to keep her hands still. fiddling with things helps her to keep focused, and gives her something to do with her fingers. mainly she picks or bites at her nails, but she also tends to fiddle with the seams of her clothing and wraps her hair around her fingers.
- has an internet friend convinced that her name is madeline bailey, and that she lives in france with her boyfriend and two dogs. of course, it's a lie, but she's got it so down to an art that it's all in the fun of it; even if she is using google translate for the entire conversation, the other person is absolutely unaware.
- has a pet goldfish, creatively and affectionately named 'fish'. fish has been alive for about two years, to the surprise of many, and lives in more luxury than mi-suk, with a lavish aquarium.
- she's studying history at college; to be more precise, the history of religion and philosophy in eastern asia. a bit of a mouthful, but she enjoys it, even if she does pronounce her want to die because of the courseload about twice a month.
- her favorite piece of clothing is this horrendously ugly bright orange rain jacket, and she wears it religiously. it has the place of pride in her (cramped) wardrobe, and while she does have other jackets and a decently dressed person for a roommate, she refuses to let it die.
- can solve a rubix cube in three minutes.
- in line with her innocent persona, she went as an angel to a halloween party the year previous with her friends. however, unknown to them, the wings ended up on someone's floor that night, her dress got ripped up, and she used the excuse that she'd just misplaced the wings and that the dress was made of pretty flimsy fabric. no one questioned her.

(2) mi-suk falls asleep at (what constitutes as) their dinner table while studying, and wakes up to an equally sleep-deprived roommate attempting to carry her into her room. knowing the two of them, they'd probably drop her on the floor at some point and the two just can't be bothered to move. needless to say, they wake up the next morning on the floor with a crick in their neck and both alarms blaring.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS ˩
- MI-SUK ; her first impression of him isn't that outstanding, or positive; she watches him pour a cup of hot water down the front of his shirt at breakfast (i'm assuming that based on his description the apartment has some sort of shared breakfast?) before swearing and turning back to go upstairs.
however, she was relatively shocked at how different his personality was to that which she'd imagined based on her first observation when the two finally officially met; she was quite quickly enamored with his charming and upbeat nature; and was pretty sure that she would have tried to hook up with him on the spot if they'd met at a party.
- FELIX ; he hasn't interacted with her before being introduced to her, and he's pretty quickly fascinated by her as a person, with her relative down to earth personality, but at the same time, her confidence and quirkiness as a person.

HOW WILL THEY ACT AROUND EACH OTHER ˩ the two of them are very compatible together, and mi-suk lives for the attention and affection she gets from him. they're quite a childish pair, but mi-suk keeps them relatively grounded with her down to earth nature and her desire not to rush into anything too soon; not that she keeps by that desire, who does she think she is? each of them is very affectionate towards the other, and they become quite close to each other quite quickly, due to mi-suk's skills of twisting her words and persona to become the kind of person she needs to be around that person in order to get as close as she wants to be, and their close proximity to each other in the apartment building. while mi-suk does notice the unkind manner in which he treats her roommate, and despite her care for them, she chooses to turn a blind eye to it, as she would rather not go against the one person who's showing her the romantic affection that she's craved for a while. the two are very close after a bit, both emotionally, and physically, and felix is enamored with her, always ready to help out and provide cuddles. despite his obsessive nature, she doesn't notice it as anything out of the ordinary as she loves the attention, the affection.

(2) felix inviting her to a movie for the evening/afternoon, and dresses up nice. he ends up faced with the true glory of mi-suk in her orange jacket, pockets jagling from loose change, and a few excuses as to why she's late. in reality, she actually just took a nap and her alarm didn't wake her up; probably tells him that her taxi got caught in traffic, or that she had to help someone with something.
(3) mi-suk having an exam the next morning, and since they had plans, which were overridden with her need to study, he ends up just chilling at her apartment while she goes through her notes, and while he plays with her hair and chats her up.
