TIFU by getting a snack late at night

This happened a couple minutes ago, I live with my parents and the house is pretty old, so whenever I leave my room, my door makes loud squeaking noises and wakes them up. I was hungry and wanted some pb&j sandwiches, so i tried as hard as I could to not make any noises when leaving the room. I opened my door just enough for me to squeeze through and leave without making much noise. Outside my room is a hall, and in the opposite side of the hall is my parents bedroom. And for me to get to the kitchen i had to open a sliding door that lead to the living room, right next to their room, wich I left open before going to bed for obvious reasons.

When I got close to their room I could hear snoring, so I knew the first step of my plan was done, i had made it to the hall without waking anyone up. It was time for part two, go past the living room and into the kitchen for the glorious snack I planned so much for. I even put on socks so that no one could hear my footsteps. And just like that, boom! I had made it to the kitchen. Now, you may think it all went as planned, that I got my sandwiches and left without a trace. But you're wrong, oh so wrong.

I decided, that, since I had completed the plan so flawlessly, I deserved a little drink too. I opened the cupboard and reached to get a glass, went to grab one, and it fell out of my hand. I tried to catch it mid air, but under the cupboard there's the microwave and I hit my elbow on it, causing the cup to shatter on the ground and the microwave to fall right after, making one hell of a noise, and consequently waking up my parents, ruining the plan I worked so hard on.

TL;DR: Tried not to make any noise sneaking to the kitchen at night, ended up waking up everyone.
