  1. Chapter 302
  2. The Sun’s Wrath, and the Death of Drums
  3.
  4.
  5. "Let's fight until we’re crushed! But, Larpan, you must escape! The gods who are nurturing the Hero Candidate must retreat as well!"
  6.
  7. Upon hearing Gohn's renewed determination, Larpan, the God of Reflections, instinctively tried to protest but reluctantly fell silent and withdrew from the Demon King's continent along with other gods of the space attribute.
  8.
  9. After defeating the Demon King Guduranis and Alda punishing the gods with his "Pile of Law," they became gods of the space attribute, a valuable presence within Alda's faction.
  10.
  11. This was because the Great God Zuruwarn, who governed the space attribute, was asleep, and all the remaining subordinate gods with personalities had joined Vida's faction, leaving only mechanical gods who managed the power of the attribute without ego. There was also no intention to increase the number of subordinate gods.
  12.
  13. Unless Alda interfered and instructed them, "Increasing new gods is necessary to manage the power of attributes and stabilize the world," there would not have been new subordinate gods of the space attribute.
  14.
  15. It is a different situation from the Water and Earth attributes, which have subordinate gods acting on behalf of the Great Gods who were sealed or asleep.
  16.
  17. Due to such a system, the number of gods of the space attribute within Alda's faction remains few, it being as few as the gods of the time attribute, which do not have any subordinate gods acting on behalf of Ricklent. Since it has been revealed that Zuruwarn and Ricklent are in Vida's faction, the subordinate gods who mechanically manage the power of attributes cannot be counted as gods of Alda's faction. Considering this, the importance of Larpan and the others' existence increases even further.
  18.
  19. Although emotionally they wanted to fight alongside Gohn until the end, it was not wise for them to bet solely on a small chance of victory, only to disappear or be sealed.
  20.
  21. The same goes for the gods who are nurturing the Hero Candidates. If they were to be consumed and disappear like Sirius, the God of War Horns their bestowed blessings would also vanish.
  22.
  23. Blateo had doubts about the usefulness of the Hero Candidates, but in battles within the Bahn Gaia continent, where Vandalieu and his allies were active in cities and villages, they proved to be more useful than the towering Demi-Gods resembling castles.
  24.
  25. That's why Larpan and the others withdrew.
  26.
  27. "I will accompany you until the end. The wind attribute has many new gods anyway. Besides, I believe I am needed to gather and control the scattered monsters, don't you think?"
  28.
  29. However, "God of War Drum" Zepaon remained. Unlike Sirius, he had entrusted the guidance of the Hero Candidate he had nurtured to Nineroad before joining the Defense Corps.
  30.
  31. Even if he were to perish and the blessings disappeared from the Hero Candidate, Nineroad's divine protection would remain.
  32.
  33. "I apologize," Gohn said to Zepaon, then raised his arm.
  34.
  35. "Oh, mighty Great God! Witness our answer!"
  36.
  37. With that, he created a massive boulder larger than a small fortress using mana and hurled it towards the fleet.
  38.
  39. "Resume the battle."
  40.
  41. "Commence firing."
  42.
  43. However, the boulder was shattered by the barrage of attacks fired by the fleet's cannon-like Demon King Familiars.
  44.
  45. And thus, the long-range battle between Gohn and his forces and the fleet led by Gufadgarn resumed.
  46.
  47. Zepaon beat his drum, and in response to the sound, the surviving monsters that had scattered began to gather again.
  48.
  49. "We need more than just monsters! You all, step forward too!"
  50.
  51. As the monsters gathered and approached, they were mercilessly struck down by the fervent Godwin, his fighting spirit burning.
  52.
  53. It was a gruesome sight of flesh and gore, but it was only a matter of time before the Defense Corps' Demi-Gods would be the ones claiming the remains instead of the monsters.
  54.
  55. "The time to appeal with the Gods is over. There is no need to hold back. Annihilation is the only option now."
  56.
  57. The surrender offer had already been made, and the outcome seemed heavily in favor of Vandelieu’s forces. Yet there is no reason to show mercy and capture the enemy alive, who continued to charge with a determination to the death.
  58.
  59. Vandalieu looked up at Botin and the other Great Gods just in case and received no instructions, so it seemed there was no issue.
  60.
  61. In response, Gufadgarn gave the command.
  62.
  63. "Lower Bakunawa. All units that were in wait advance. Abandon the disguise for the Orichalcum ships, and proceed with their intended use."
  64.
  65. Simultaneously with her command, three of the remaining eight fake Cuatro ships shattered from within.
  66.
  67. "Uooooh! I can finally stretch my back!"
  68.
  69. "Brother, I know it was cramped. But you don't have to shout like that."
  70.
  71. Revealed before them were Sun Giant Talos, the Patron God of Talosheim, and his sister, Moon Giant Deanna.
  72.
  73. "It seems both brother and sister get along well."
  74.
  75. And there was Tiamat, an Elder Dragon with a dragon-like lower body and an upper body of a beautiful woman, known as the "Mountain Queen Elder Dragon”.
  76.
  77. "Ah, Mama!"
  78.
  79. As if on cue, Bakunawa, who had been retreating to the rear, rushed towards Tiamat while making the ground tremor.
  80.
  81. "Umu, you did your best, boy. Did you enjoy eating with mother-in-law?"
  82.
  83. "Uhn, it was really delicious! But Papa tastes the best!"
  84.
  85. "Iー I see. But don't eat too much of Papa, okay?"
  86.
  87. "Uhn, I'll endureー"
  88.
  89. Aside from the scale and the content of their conversation, it was a heartwarming scene of a mother and her child.
  90.
  91. This infuriated the Demi-Gods, who saw it as an opportunity or a weakness, and they launched concentrated attacks. However, Tiamat swung her tail, creating shockwaves that deflected most of the attacks.
  92.
  93. Even the few attacks that made it through the shockwaves couldn't pierce her scales.
  94.
  95. "To aim at a mother conversing with her son, the dragons following Alda have truly become despicable serpents."
  96.
  97. "If you want to not get hit, then step aside!"
  98.
  99. Tiamat's provocation angered Ryularyus, the "Light Elder Dragon," and Zanapher, the "Whirlwind Elder Dragon," causing them to release intense breath attacks. However, Talos intervened by inserting his weapon into their trajectory and blocked the attacks.
  100.
  101. "Umu, I was a little worried when I was told to use the ships as clubs, but there seems to be no problem."
  102.
  103. The weapon that Talos swung was none other than the fake Cuatro made of Orichalcum that made up the fleet.
  104.
  105. "Only the exterior and the pillars are made of Orichalcum, but they are reinforced from within with 'Demon King Fragments.' They can serve as both shields and clubs, and when not in use, they provide independent support. It's a splendid weapon equipment."
  106.
  107. Deanna, too, used the Orichalcum ship to fend off the attacks of the Defense Corps members while using magic to walk on the surface of the lake.
  108.
  109. "It's a shame it's not a Transformation Equipment, Don't you think so? You can be honest with your older brother, little sister."
  110.
  111. "...Brother, I believe I've told you many times that I did not bless Zadiris with the intention of doing that."
  112.
  113. "Well, still, that 'Magical Girl' trend is quite something. I think if you join the trend and become the ‘Magical Girl Moon Giant', even us Demi-Gods who aren't pure gods could gain even greater power."
  114.
  115. "If those who have been granted blessings emulate the gods, it would make some sense. But what purpose does it serve for the gods to emulate those they have bestowed blessings upon?"
  116.
  117. With frustration directed at the persistent Talos, the Orichalcum ship swung and shattered the icebergs thrown by the Ice Giant Mugan, turning them into scattered fragments of ice.
  118.
  119. Against the monsters and the Defense Corps' Demi-Gods, the collateral damage was quite effective.
  120.
  121. "I anticipated the presence of Orichalcum flying ships, but to think they would use them as weapons!"
  122.
  123. Gohn groaned and twisted his face. Demi-Gods, including Beast Kings and Elder Dragons, and even Colossi who had physical bodies that were suitable, rarely equipped themselves with weapons.
  124.
  125. That's because their own bodies and armor they created using magic were stronger than crudely made weapons and armor made out of iron, mythril, adamantite, or even Orichalcum. Additionally, they were beings outside the scope of the Status System, so they didn't benefit from skills.
  126.
  127. Exceptions were the Bronze Giant Luburg and Iron Giant Nabanger, who excelled in enhancing and processing the metal they were known for.
  128.
  129. Certainly, during the battles against the Demon King's Army, Botin, her Subordinate Gods, and Champion Hillwillow fought using high-quality Orichalcum weapons and armor that Botin had trained them to use. However, those weapons were destroyed due to the fierce battles, and since Botin and her Subordinate Gods were sealed, they couldn't repair them or create new ones.
  130.
  131. "But the same should apply to all of you! Botin was just revived moments ago!"
  132.
  133. As Talos and Deanna closed in, Mugan dashed past Gohn's side to confront them. He created a full-body suit of ice armor, an ice battle axe, and a shield, challenging the two.
  134.
  135. His movements were refined for a Colossus who didn't need to learn martial arts due to his excessively high physical capabilities.
  136.
  137. "Can you really withstand my attacks with nothing but a sturdy club? You, who have been deluded after a hundred thousand years of slumber!"
  138.
  139. "Nuooooooh!"
  140.
  141. As Mugan swung his ice battle axe, Talos defended himself with the Orichalcum ship acting as a shield. However, the blade sliced through the Orichalcum armor, digging in halfway. Pushed back, it seemed as if Talos would be overwhelmed, but――
  142.
  143. "Deluded? It is you who are deluded!"
  144.
  145. With a complete change in expression from his carefree demeanor up until then, Talos forcefully stepped forward, shattering the frozen surface of the lake that Mugan had covered with cold magic.
  146.
  147. "Nuaah!?"
  148.
  149. Mugan's upper body leaned back, trying to regain balance, but Talos wouldn't allow it.
  150.
  151. "What have you been up to during those hundred thousand years you were awake? Why would you lose to me, who only recently awakened from slumber, in sheer strength?"
  152.
  153. With a momentum that sliced through the air, Talos swung the Orichalcum ship. His movements lacked the refinement that Mugan possessed. It was simply a brute force attack; powerful, rough, and full of openings.
  154.
  155. However, Mugan couldn't exploit those openings. He was preoccupied with defending against the Orichalcum ship with his ice shield, giving his utmost effort.
  156.
  157. "That's because you all neglected your training! You all became conceited with your own abilities and couldn't think for yourselves!"
  158.
  159. Talos swung the Orichalcum ship with a furious roar, shattering Mugan's ice shield and crushing his ice gauntlet.
  160.
  161. "Guaaaah! You... let me say this! You, who can do nothing but pander to others, have no right to speak!"
  162.
  163. But Mugan wouldn't be defeated easily. The shattered ice shield danced mid-air and was reattached back together with cold magic. Mugan then attached the Orichalcum ship to his left arm with ice, sealing Talos's arms and weapon equipment. Then, he struck the ice axe into Talos's unprotected side.
  164.
  165. With a splattering sound, a large amount of liquid was scattered.
  166.
  167.
  168. "'I-impossible!"
  169.
  170. There were no traces of scars or marks on Talos' side. Mugan's ice axe had melted in an instant.
  171.
  172. "And because you are aware of that and refuse to learn from humans."
  173.
  174. The Orichalcum ship, heated by his power as the Sun God, began to change to a scarlet color.
  175.
  176. "Are you saying that because the one who created that is also human!?"
  177.
  178. When Talos used Single Flash on the intensely heated Orichalcum ship, it bent like a whip and struck Mugan's head. In that moment, a large amount of steam generated from his ice armor and the lake water, causing an explosion.
  179.
  180. "If you’re ignorant of the fact that the person who built this ship is a human, you can only blame yourself for it. He was born as a human. As such, he will remain human until his death."
  181.
  182. After the explosion subsided, Talos spoke to Mugan's corpse, which floated in the bubbling, boiling lake.
  183.
  184. And then, Deanna's fist exploded against the back of Talos' head.
  185.
  186. "Goooh!?"
  187.
  188. "Did you forget the words spoken by the one who created that ship? That when Brother puts in all his power and heats it up, it becomes difficult to maintain the Demon King Familiar, so he should refrain from using it until the right moment!"
  189.
  190. The Orichalcum ship that Talos held, as indicated by Deanna, stretched and changed shape like heated candy, losing its original form. The damages inflicted by Mugan's axe were also sealed, but it was too thin to be used as a club.
  191.
  192. And the Demon King Familiar that supported the armor internally and maintained its form and restoration burned out, saying, "I leave the rest to you―."
  193.
  194. "Ah... damn."
  195.
  196. "Did you really forget? It can't be helped. Now we’ll fight barehanded."
  197.
  198. "No, maybe it's because I went all out after a long time, but my endurance and mana are quite... I'm feeling a bit drained."
  199.
  200. As Talos heated his body and the Orichalcum ship to the point of vaporizing Mugan's ice axe and armor in an instant, his breathing became heavier.
  201.
  202. "If that's the case, then think about the distribution of your endurance and mana! What are we supposed to do if you really become mentally slow!"
  203.
  204. "Well, it hasn't been ten years since my revival, right? It's natural for the body to dull. Go ahead and rest in the shadow of us girls."
  205.
  206. "Uu, you're giving me a hard time, sister and friend."
  207.
  208. Despite her raging emotions, Deanna stepped forward, followed by Tiamat. Talos, without any hesitation, stepped back behind the two.
  209.
  210. While the three Gods had such lax exchanges, the battle continued. However, Talos, who had lost his endurance, did not face concentrated long-range attacks or new enemies piercing through.
  211.
  212. "You're so sly!"
  213.
  214. "Gahahaha! A gentle breeze of a giant, that's all you are!"
  215.
  216. "You! You’re mocking me?"
  217.
  218. In midair, Godwin, who was soon to no longer become the Majin King, and Gale Giant Pozeli engaged in a fierce physical battle.
  219.
  220. "Huh? Was I wrong? Sorry, I heard there was a coward who was at a disadvantage in the previous battle and ran away, but I don't remember it well."
  221.
  222. "You bastard!"
  223.
  224. Provoked by Godwin, Pozeli unleashed countless but poorly controlled blades of wind. Compared to the body of a Colossus, Gonwin had a body that was slightly over three meters and danced like leaves.
  225.
  226. Blue blood splattered, but the wounds were immediately healed by Godwin's high regeneration Ability, and the lost blood was also replenished.
  227.
  228. "Hahaha! How warm, how warm. It’s just a gentle breeze!"
  229.
  230. Saying so, Godwin skillfully navigated through the gaps of the wind blades with sharp senses and intuition, steadily dealing damage to Pozeli.
  231.
  232. "This time, I'll become a Dragon Slayer!"
  233.
  234. Eleonora shouted something that would make Fidirg and Luvezfol tremble, and she attacked the dragon that tried to come to Pozeli's aid.
  235.
  236. "You toy-relying, filthy Vampire! How many times did you think this Zanapher would be defeated!?"
  237.
  238. Whirlwind Elder Dragon Zanapher, whose scales were slashed by Eleonora's sword, roared and unleashed wind blades.
  239.
  240. "Don't make me laugh, lizard who ran away with its tail cut off!"
  241.
  242. "He's not exactly a compatible opponent for me..."
  243.
  244. Following Eleonora, Isla and Bellmond also joined the battle.
  245.
  246. The sight of the three beautiful women clashing swords with a giant dragon was truly a mythical scene… If people knew that two of the beautiful women were Vampires and one was a Vampire Zombie, more than half of humanity would likely be taken aback.
  247.
  248. "Isla, it's good to be filled with fighting spirit, but I think it's better not to get too angry."
  249.
  250. Bellmond, who had become a Vampire from a dense forest monkey beast race, manipulated threads that flows in the wind made from Vandalieu's Demon King silk gland with her Illusion Thread Technique. She hooked them onto Zanapher's fingers and pulled, cutting them off. Furthermore, she maneuvered and used her Petrifying Magic Eye to turn monsters trying to interfere into stone statues, and was busier than she looked.
  251.
  252. "Vandalieu-sama made the Transformation Equipment for me, and it was called a toy! I can't help but be angry, can I!?"
  253.
  254. While there was a subtle reluctance to using the Transformation Equipment, she became furious when the equipment itself was called idiotic. It could be described as the complexity of a woman's heart, or rather the understandable psychology of a fanatic Undead. ...By the way, Tarea also had a hand in creating the equipment.
  255.
  256. However, Isla, who had a fierce expression on her face, suddenly relaxed her cheeks into a smile, and the sword that had been filled with anger regained its composure.
  257.
  258. "Oh, yes, thank you, Vandalieu-sama! I will offer you this prey now!"
  259.
  260. Apparently, Isla had been told something by Vandalieu's Clone, who had descended upon her through Familiar Spirit Demonfall.
  261.
  262. "...Danna-sama, what did you say to her?"
  263.
  264. "Yes. I only said, 'I’m happy to hear that, but there's no point in arguing over food. Let's eat together later.'"
  265.
  266. When Bellmond asked her own Familiar Spirit that had descended upon her, that was the answer she received. Upon hearing that, she let out a small sigh.
  267.
  268. "Danna-sama probably meant that we should all eat together, but... she interpreted it as the two of you eating together."
  269.
  270. "You think so?"
  271.
  272. Isla seemed delighted to the point where it seemed one could envision her tail wagging. And then, she thrust her sword into Zanapher's eyes, tied his eyeball with a chain, and tried to gouge his eyes out, causing him to screech.
  273.
  274. It seems she intends to offer his eyeball first.
  275.
  276. "Then, since I would feel sorry for disappointing her, let's inform the main body to really eat together."
  277.
  278. As soon as Vandalieu's Clone said that, Eleonora and Bellmond, who had been supporting Isla with an atmosphere of "being troubled," suddenly sprang into action, as if they had been bounced back.
  279.
  280. "Wait, Isla! I will offer that prey to Van-sama!"
  281.
  282. "I will divide it into three pieces and present them to Danna-sama!"
  283.
  284. Vandalieu's Clone, who had thought that he was only referring to Isla, was greatly bewildered by the reactions of the two.
  285.
  286. "Oh? Huh? Um... Let's see... Do help each other closely and coordinate."
  287.
  288. Although Vandelieu was perplexed, in order not to disappoint them and create a tug-of-war situation, he decided not to make any corrections and simply stick to what was assumed to be the point to avoid conflicts.
  289.
  290. “ “ “Yes!” ” ”
  291.
  292. “Good luck, main body,”Vandelieu’s clones thought.
  293.
  294. "Gyaaa!"
  295.
  296. As if to drown out the three people's responses, Zanapher's scream echoed. He might be the one to have the most gruesome death on this battlefield.
  297.
  298. The Defense Corps Demi-Gods other than Zanapher and Pozeli were the targets of Cuatro's bombardment.
  299.
  300. "Don't let the attacks through to Zepaon-dono! Defend with everything you have!"
  301.
  302. Crab Beast King Gabildes raised his pincers and tried to knock down the cannonball-shaped Demon King Familiar while spitting out acidic foam. Since Larpan and the gods of the space attribute had retreated, Zepaon, who was currently hiding his presence with magic, could not be protected by distorting the surrounding space.
  303.
  304. Although the number of monsters he had tamed was dwindling, Gabildes couldn't afford to lose control. He swung his pincers down towards the cannonball-shaped Demon King Familiar, but it skillfully avoided the attacks of Gabildes and the Demi-Gods who followed his command.
  305.
  306. "Manipulating the atmosphere and light with magic to disappear instead of using illusions, huh?"
  307.
  308. "I see you've taken precautions against me, as expected."
  309.
  310. However, just before the pincers and acid foam hit, it moved sideways.
  311.
  312. "But now, there is no need for camouflage, and I can use the Demon King's Spiracle..."
  313.
  314. "Defense won't work."
  315.
  316. The secret was one of the fragments that Vandalieu had used in the anti-Demon King fragments training, the Demon King's spiracle.
  317.
  318. The spiracle is originally a respiratory organ that insects possess, but Vandalieu manipulated it by combining it with other fragments, using it as an air jet outlet for altitude control and emergency evasion.
  319.
  320. Although it had been capable of changing directions and tracking before, by absorbing the Demon King's spiracle, its maneuverability had greatly increased.
  321.
  322. "Nuu! Flying around like a feather insect... Gioooooh!?"
  323.
  324. The cannonball-shaped Demon King Familiar, which had evaded Gabildes' swinging scissors, exploded, targeting the joint parts of Gabildes' carapace, causing him to scream while spewing foam.
  325.
  326. "There's no need to rush. I still have plenty more."
  327.
  328. Since Bakunawa had moved behind Cuatro, there was nothing to restrict the movements of the Defense Corps Demi-Gods. However, the cannonball-shaped Demon King Familiar was in the same situation, as there was nothing to restrict its movements anymore.
  329.
  330. “Well, there's no need to hold back anymore.”
  331.
  332. “Gaaaaaaaaah!!”
  333.
  334. The impact of the explosion from the cannonball-shaped Demon King Familiar struck Gabildes' sturdy carapace, burning and scorching it. Cracks appeared from the weak joints, and the heat seared the flesh beneath the carapace.
  335.
  336. Vandalieu had intended to destroy the shield and then burn the flesh, rather than slicing through the shield and cutting the flesh. With the fewer number of monsters under his control, Zepaon wasn't as high of a priority target as Gabildes had initially thought.
  337.
  338. Realizing this, Zepaon contemplated whether he should abandon control over the monsters and help free Gabildes and the others.
  339.
  340. At that moment, several pillars of light descended from the sky. Gufadgarn and the others assumed that they were the reinforcements from Alda's faction, bracing themselves.
  341.
  342. “Don't let Demon King Vandalieu do as he pleases any longer!”
  343.
  344. It was the heroic spirits of Zepaon and the now deceased God of War Horns Sirius. While they were indeed enemies, they had appeared on the battlefield of their own volition, not under Alda's orders.
  345.
  346. “You guys! I ordered you to stand by! And I specifically instructed you to rely on Nineroad-dono if anything happened to me!”
  347.
  348. Zepaon reflexively shouted, but the heroic spirits didn't cower at his outcry. Instead, they engaged in combat with the cannonball-shaped Demon King Familiar and Deanna without hesitation.
  349.
  350. “We are not Nineroad’s heroic spirits, we are yours, Zepaon-sama! What meaning would there be for us heroic spirits if we were to ignore this crisis faced by the God whom we have served and worshipped since our human days!”
  351.
  352. “We, the heroic spirits of Sirius-sama, will not tolerate such humiliation any longer! In the name of our master, who was also a War God, grant us the power to strike back!”
  353.
  354. The heroic spirits, who possessed the strength of Ranks 12 to 14, emerged without hesitation from Zepaon's pseudo-divine realm, clashing their blades with Godwin and Deanna, as well as intercepting the cannonball-shaped Demon King Familiar.
  355.
  356. While their size couldn't compare to the hundred meter tall Demi-Gods, their power was formidable. With their participation in the battle, the situation slightly improved for the Defense Corps.
  357.
  358. “You guys...!”
  359.
  360. Zepaon's voice trembled, and the Demi-Gods of the Defense Corps raised their spirits, seeing a glimmer of hope.
  361.
  362. "I can understand their feelings, even if they're our enemies," Gufadgarn remarked, not upset by the arrival of the heroic spirits, but empathized with them instead.
  363.
  364. "Therefore, at the very least we should perish together fighting."
  365.
  366. In her vision, far behind the Defense Corps, Gufadgarn saw the Great Gods preparing to throw something.
  367.
  368. “It's true that we can't leave the pseudo-divine realm... but that doesn't mean we can't do anything!”
  369.
  370. And then, Vida threw something. It rapidly approached the pseudo-divine area where Zepaon was located.
  371.
  372. “Did the Goddess throw a clone of herself!?”
  373.
  374. In order to protect their master, the heroic spirits of Zepaon stood in front of the approaching object and raised their shields. If it had been the cannonball-shaped Demon King Familiar, the defensive power of their shields and armor would have allowed them to withstand the attack, although not unscathed.
  375.
  376. "No, she threw the main body."
  377.
  378. However, what was thrown was Vandalieu himself, who had activated Soul Breaking Arts. Clad in his soul, his entire body became a projectile.
  379.
  380. “What――gah!”
  381.
  382. Even the heroic spirits were unable to withstand the direct hit from Vandalieu, who had turned his entire body wrapped with his soul into a bullet, leaving gaping holes in their shields and body, shattering and dispersing into particles of light.
  383.
  384. And then, Vandalieu continued on towards the pseudo-divine realm where Zepaon was――.
  385.
  386. "Absolute Death Flash."
  387.
  388. By converging the death attribute Mana with the Staff of the Five Sins, he created a blade and unleashed it in a single flash.
  389.
  390. “Gah... hah!”
  391.
  392. With a shattering sound, Zepaon, who had been concealing himself by manipulating light and atmosphere, appeared. His eyes widened in disbelief, as he stared at the drum he had been holding, now severed along with his arm.
  393.
  394. “No!”
  395.
  396. “Zepaon-sama!”
  397.
  398. Gabildes and the surviving heroic spirits rushed to protect Zepaon, but before they could reach him, Zantark, Botin, and Peria threw something first.
  399.
  400. “Following up! Elder Dragon Slayer!”
  401.
  402. Borkus, who arrived with incredible speed, wielded a magic Sword made from Demon King fragments. The tip of the sword pierced through Zepaon, creating a hole.
  403.
  404. “...!!”
  405.
  406. Zepaon couldn't even utter a final scream as his figure faded away and disappeared. Weakened and with his soul wounded, he drifted toward sleep, teetering on the brink of death.
  407.
  408. However, before completely disappearing, a giant ice blade impaled Zepaon, bringing him destruction rather than sleep.
  409.
  410. “Ze, Zepaon-sama!”
  411.
  412. "That was close. It seems that when he reaches a critical condition, he naturally falls into sleep," Vandalieu remarked, wiping his forehead with his sleeve, ignoring the anguished cries of the heroic spirits.
  413.
  414. When a god falls into slumber, they become largely immobile for many years, but they do not die. They listen to the prayers of their believers in a near-unconscious state and continue to function as gods. And perhaps, they may temporarily revive in some way. That's what Vandalieu believed.
  415.
  416. That's why he destroyed him.
  417.
  418. “There are still heroic spirits remaining. What should we do?”
  419.
  420. Orbia, the ghost of water and earth attributes who had accompanied Vandelieu, inquired.
  421.
  422. "Well then, since we're conveniently near a lake, let's make it flashy. Now that the camouflage is over, let’s unleash God Spirit Magic."
  423.
  424. “Okay!”
  425.
  426. Vast amounts of Mana flowed through Orbia through the Staff of the Five Sins, transforming the lake that had previously been empowering Madroza and the other demi-gods of the water attribute.
  427.
  428. "Let's call it Grand Frozen Death Snake, shall we?"
  429.
  430. The water and mud of the lake mixed together, forming countless giant snakes made of frozen soil, which then attacked the remaining heroic spirits and demi-gods.

  510. Monster Explanation: Diva Chaos Broad Ghost (by Luciliano)
  511.
  512. I don't think she is a ghost anymore. Perhaps, if taken to the extreme, even a ghost can reach the realm of the gods. For convenience sake, she is still referred to as a ghost here.
  513.
  514. By acquiring the divine protections of Peria and Botin, she has not only strengthened her water attribute but also enhanced her originally possessed earth attribute, making her a ghost that is able to wield both water and earth attributes.
  515.
  516. Orbia's combat abilities are relatively low for a Rank 14 individual, but she can demonstrate her true potential through the magic of Master, so it shouldn't be a problem. There is no need to worry about her being targeted by enemies either, as Master is always by her side.
  517.
  518. Naturally, the Adventurer's Guild has no records of a Diva Chaos Broad Ghost. In fact, there are no existing records of ghosts reaching Rank 14 at all.

    1. Since this chapter has reached 100 views, I'll do Chapter 303 as well. Won't take too long, though expect roughly same quality.

      1. Could you upload it on some page or some similar place? It's that I read it with the translator and in pdf it won't let me translate it.
      2. I also wrote this comment with the translator. Thank you in advance and sorry for the inconvenience

      1. Thank you so much! You did a really great job on this, and it really justifies why Yoshi shouldn't be getting paid for chapters anymore. Very readable with very few errors. And you did it in far less time. If you have a patreon or something similar, I would definitely contribute!

        1. Thank you for your compliment. As for patreon, I'd rather not have people pay me for me to do more chapters. I don't want to end up in a situation like Yoshi's where people pay and they end up being owed chapters for many months (IIRC he is supposed to do until 309) since I'd be busy some times, and paying so much just for a chapter is ridiculous to me. Feels like daylight robbery TBH. I'll be trying my best to do until the end, so you don't have to worry if I would stop since I'm doing this as I'm progressing through the story myself. If you really really want to contribute as a way of giving thanks, then you can paypal me at paypal.me/eximpimp, but I'd rather you keep the money for yourself.
