  1. Alright, hey there friend. What's up. I'm kinda high right now but I've been listening to The Rockwood Escape Plan on my phone lately and I found that the version on my phone sounds legit like totally different compared to version on my laptop. The album art is kinda different too. I think a friend gave me this one, but I don't know where he got it. Like did you produce two entirely different albums with the same vocals? What is going on here. Also why aren't you more famous? Don't worry, I'll make you famous.

  6. Yes no problem, thanks for listening man I really appreciate it. I'll explain. I released the album in 2012 but Most of the songs were recorded way earlier, as far back as 2007. So the quality was really bad. So at some point in late 2012 I just took the original vocals and beats I made and mixed them back down lossless and that version is the one with no writing on the cover. I did the same for joechillworld. So it's the same album just a little cleaner is all. Sorry for the confusion.

  10. Hey! Thanks for answering! I've really began to enjoy your production lately as I've been traveling and have put The Rockwood Escape Plan on repeat. Top-notch stuff you've got there. Very ahead of it's time, but also not? Feels kinda timeless. I like that.

  12. I have another question. In "Deuce Komradz", you say something of the tune to "334 stand up" and shit about [redacted] and how you were raised in "T-town". Where are you from? I grew up in [redacted], so I thought that was kinda strange.
  13.
  14. Also, one last thing, is there an overall message to the album? There's little recurring bits that callback sorta to the opening track, and you repeatedly say "Too many MCs, not enough fans", and I thought that was funny because you have insane talent, but I feel like not enough people appreciate that. Was that intentional? There's a small group on /mu/ that are familiar with it, but that just simply isn't enough.
  15.
  16. Sorry for the rambling questions. I only check my emails when I smoke, which makes it really difficult to have coherent replies.

  20. Woah, I actually just had a realization. After listening to Ghost Pop, I sorta realized that the last half of The Rockwood Escape Plan (I should note that I mainly listen to this album, but have been strongly branching into your others as I stated previously.) sounds similar to it in a less rap and more art kind of way. Maybe? Seems that way to me. But the first half (specifically, until Blue China) sounds likes a totally different album with a central theme around 2manyMCs4fans and Generation Y. So seeing that this album would appear to be a double album, is it safe to say that they were two different albums that you combined or something? I'd be interested to know it. Sorry for being annoying! Just a big fan.

  27. Hey, Yes i used to live in [redacted]. I went to [redacted] high school for some time. I used to be around [redacted] as well I'm not suprised you caught that I made that song my senior year me and some friends so it has alot of inside references that only someone from that area would understand. And yes your right about the too many mc's not enough fans and generation y as a theme at the time i was coming up in my city and it seemed like everyone who liked my music was trying to make a song with me so i wrote a whole album based on that basically. Generation y is very important to me because i feel like hip hop isnt a very protected genre I remember at the time i was writing the 27 club reading an interview where lemmy kilmister just shit on the whole genre and noone in rap said anything it was strange to me like who does this wart faced asshole think he is? I feel like generation y and hip hop doesnt stick for themselves alot of times and they would rather beef with each other than diss a clive bundy. so if i gotta be the guy to stick up for then so be it. I just bottle things up and write about them so i come off as bitter and whiny sometime on record maybe. And also to answer your last question your absolutely right the album actually ends on track 15 "Pu$$y #1" i think and the rest of it is a completely seperate project that i put on the end because the tracks were recorded so far apart that i had to many songs. G

  31. I noticed that the artwork for LIARA is different than the rest on The Ghost Pop Tape, so after reverse searching the image on google, I stumbled upon this: http://jpegmafia.bandcamp.com/. Honestly, I have no idea what this is, but I enjoy the Heaven's Gate bit. Did you know that there's a representative of them still alive? He used to answer emails, but I think he's gone silent. Anyway, finding that sent me into a day long hunt for clues trying to figure out what the fuck it was. I'd share what I did find, but I already seem creepy enough I'm sure. Actual info is appreciated, though.

  37. Holy shit..man Generation Y? Dream cast summer songs? Fuck I haven't heard those in so long I made those ages ago how did you even find those? Appreciate you listening though. But to answer your question yes, I would love if you made cassettes im flattered that you even asked me haha. You know it's been so long since anyone's shown any interest in anythnng I did that I thought no one was Listening but wow man wow yes please make these cassettes. And I can't believe you actually found that jpegmafia website lmao like wtf man. I was planning on changing my name to jpegmafia when I got back to the states and I've been recording songs and working on a website that indeed uses the heavens gate website code. I watched like a bunch of documentarys on them that dude was crazy I found this Usenet post from Google group that goes back to like 1997 or some shit and he was posting that he was jesus on there idk why but that shit fascinates me. But anyway yea I set that bandcamp and website up because I was gonna change my name And start over. But I was torn becuase idk I didn't really want to change my name but I did and then I didn't and idk that website and bandcamp just ended up sitting there and I never did anythig with it that why it's incomplete or whatevrr. Your like a detective or some shit lol.

  41. Ha, maybe I should explain. I was updating all the artist info and pictures and stuff for you on last.fm, and I noticed that the person with the second highest plays for you had an album in his library called "DREAMCAST SUMMER SONGS". I was intrigued, so when I searched it, I found it on YouTube, and then I found a cached version of your bandcamp that google saved that had the album. I was interested in it, so I went to the Way Back Machine on archive.org and found an archived page from your bandcamp. I found out that if you clicked on the albums/singles on the sidebar, you could go back further in the years because it had archived different times for each link (or something, I'm not sure, but if you're interested, try it yourself and you'll see what I mean), but there were dead ends depending on what you were clicking on. I spent awhile just kinda navigating my way back when I finally got to the page for Generation Y, and there was a mediafire download link. I didn't know there was a download even available for it, (obviously, this was a just a lucky coincidence) but I had seen it as an album review someone did for you once, and had heard it before because you posted it on an old myspace account that I stumbled across while trying to find more info on Generation Y. I ended up having to rip Dreamcast Summer Songs off of youtube and manually editing it to make individuals tracks. Audio quality probably isn't the best, but whatever. I did, though, also come across Since I Left You II, and I was actually curious about that one since I'm familiar with the original album, but there wasn't a download I could find.
  42.
  43. But yeah, I don't know, I was convinced half-way while doing all of those things that you had intentionally set all these sort of things up, and I thought this was some master puzzle that no one had stumbled across and cracked or something dumb. It was a good way to spend a very boring Christmas.
  44.
  45. My only other question was who Ben Yuddha is. It was at the bottom of the jpegmafia website along with a long string of "jpegmafia". The only google result is for a song that has your song Untitled^2 with some girl singing on it. I liked the song, but was confused as to what it was.
  46.

  48.
  49. Oh on I got ya. Hahaha I was laughing half way through this becuase of how confusing this must seem to you lol. The jpegmafia website has a butch of stuff wrong cause I'm didn't finish it and wasn't going to until I was ready but ben yuddha was one of my aliases and I produced a couple songs for a group from Britain named sulabay or bagel project or funmi wittle she changes her name a lot. She sang over my song Andre pejic and Sent it to me I liked it so I sent her a bunch of songs one of them was the beat to what would eventually become untitled two I think the song is called 4am or something but last I saw she took it down and I hadn't heard from her so idk she changes her name like every month so I can't keep up with her. Generation Y I made in 09 right before JOECHILLWORLD and i hate it. that's why it's not online anywhere but kudos to you for actually digging it up and dream cast summer songs is a compilation of the first beats I ever made that I put together like a mix those shits are really old it was the first album I ever made I can give you a better version if you want. Since I left you Ii was suppose to be a sequel to the first it was made from all samples but I never finished it.

  53. you seem like an expert I made a dvd version of the video for the ghost pop tape a while back becuase i wanted to sell them at shows and online I want to to do this with my new project as well but really go through with it this time because at the time of the ghost pop tape i was unable to perform. i made a cover for it i'll attach it below so you can see but would you be able to design somethign like that for a DVD as well? Ive been wanting to release like entire movies sort of for all my new projects instead of a few videos at a time i feel like in the future people will stream everything or just watch videos so I've been thinking I dont think the downloading format will die or anything i just think in the next few years there will be heavier emphasis on videos and streaming especially and i just like the idea of making a DVd for an album it makes me feel like its the year 2000 again but newayz let me know. I can send you a copy of the DVd as well if you want a few people i know and some labels have it but noone else does and Do you want the wav versions of the albums to put on the casssete? Sorry for the shit grammar i type these emails on my phone
