Tatsuo and Balder go Mineral hunting

Bite after bite, harsh teeths of Balder would strike towards the semi hard skin of apple, crunching and destroying it, as he would eat the apple part by part, enjoying it to heart. But his waiting for Tatsuo wouldn't last that long, as soon he would notice a familiar image walking towards him from distance, waving towards Balder, which he respond by waving back. Lately he had spent a lot of times with Tatsuo, specially after crafting his sword, and so far, he started to look more at Tatsuo as a friend.

Awaiting for Tatsuo to get into a good range for conversation, Balder would finish his whole apple, crushing the remaining part of it by his gravity magic. Cleaning his mouth with his sleeve once again, he would turn his head towards Tatsuo which was first to start the conversation.

"Hello there friend, good to have you with myself . . . you know I hate when I am going to a trip alone, not having someone to talk with and such! " His tone was energetic and kind, but at same time was deep, as his words ended he would take few steps forward towards Tatsuo and pat over his shoulder and smile, "Name of material I am seeking is Iron Oak, a special limber and wood, used to craft strong weapons and such. I need it for my things. Few days ago I earned some information about it, from a guy drinking at bar. Rumors says you can find some in Wychwood, rarity is, that this kind of woods only grow close to capital of yokais so yup."

Soon he would turn around towards south, facing the markets, "There was a lot of rumors about new and strong monsters in Wychwood, so we have to be careful. So lets go?"


From when did you cared about danger close Balder?

Words of his father made him to smile as he would lift his gaze from Tatsuo, placing it over the markets.

 "It wasn't directed at me father, I don't want to take someone with child into my own plans . . . "

Tatsuo was profound at the idea that Balder was so energetic about going to the capitol of the Yokai for a special wood for a weapon, though he should have been use to this by now.

Tatsuo would only listen to Balder's mention fo finding out this information at the bar, though it seemed liable too. Most times, Soilders or any person in general could get information from drunken people.

Tatsuo never really questioned Balder information broker sites, but Tatsuo only shrugged the idea of it a minor possibility.

Tatsuo only smiled at Balder seeing that he was asking Tatsuo for help out of everyone he could ask.

As Balder would say that he got enough food and such materials needed for survival, he would pat over the bag over his back while smiling, then soon turn his direction towards market once more as he would start his march towards the southern and main gates of Frostvale, being followed by Tatsuo. Through citizens and normal soldiers they marched, walked and passed them with a normal pace.

Soon leaving the town gates, stepping inside the frozen tundra of Frostvale, where there would be no living things existing in miles ahead, expect some wild monsters and animals maybe, heading towards South West, for the forests they were aiming at. Leaving the town mean you left the safe zone, and now they needed to open their eyes and ears for any wrong movements or anything that may mean danger.

The grounds and trees, bushes and everything was dressed in white snow, by recent migration of clouds towards direction of north, more snowing were to happen indeed, more than current snow. By each step made by Balder, noise of snow crunching would be heard, he was wearing a long black cape over his shoulder, as he had warm armor over his body, alongside some tricks and his own mana he didn't even felt a little of this cold weather, hopefully it would be same for Tatsuo.

Their trip on feet, would take few hours, and soon darkness would strike at them. Night at snowy fields were surely scary! And at same time beautiful! Sky full of stars, blinking at them, Moon was also really beautiful that night. But soon things start to change, as winds started to get more wild and strong. But still not like a storm, moving small snows in the air, and such.

Soon Balder would pause, as they would reach upon a big oak tree in closeby. Placing his giant hand over the tree, Balder would take a deep breath as he would nod to himself, clearly was thinking and creating a plan in his head.

"We rest here tonight! Tatsuo, I go gather some woods and branches for the fire. You unpack some stuff in my bag here" Said Balder as he would slowly start to take off the bag from his back, and place it close to tree, resting it upon tree. "You wouldn't be afraid if I leave right?" Following his words were a giggle released by him as he would look at Tatsuo, his tone sounded funny indeed, he was always making jokes at adventure like this.

Soon though turning around, he would start walking towards few trees closeby, trying to gather some logs for fire.

Tatsuo shook his head as Balder seemed to be all packed for their small adventure. TAtsuo didn't have any time to complain since it was a good excersie to get his senses back up. Plus a trip away from Frostvale for a day wasnt a crime, plus Balder was a leader in the Draco Nivis so even if they got in trouble he could just say he was following Balder since it was to help a higher up, but that would be wrong since he was helping because he was a friend.

When Balder began to march south toward the gates of Frostvale at a moderate pace, Tasuo followed buying a few apples to eat on the jounrey to their location since he didn't eat anything. Upon grabbing a few apples and his trusty bag, Tatsuo followed behind Balder all the way past the frozen tundra. With their adventure coming to a still point, Balder told Tatsuo that since they were traveling a fair ways, then he and him should take a well deserved rest for the night.

The snow was a glittering white in the dusky afternoon. Tatsuo laid down his bad on the snowy ground and waited for Balder to come back from the forest with wood.

 Finding good woods to burn was something which Balder was getting good at it, being friend to a lumberjack meant he had to dealt with seeing many different kind of woods, which in end helped him in finding atleast some good ones, not the best ones but still some good ones!

He started with gathering logs from ground, dead branches which didn't got touched by snow that much, but if they were wet, he would dry them up by using his energy magic. He would process by cutting some of tree woods as well, anything that looked good for burning he took with himself. Some thick and big logs and some small and weak, one to start the fire and one to feed the fire to burn. He lived most of his life in wild nature as well, when he was training in his childhood, even some of his adventures he had in past few years, all those experience were good for such a place as this.

After wandering around for quite a little bit, Balder would return by having his hand full of burning materials, carrying a smile over his face as well, he would return to their small "camp" location. Walking back, he would notice Tatsuo already made a circle good for a fire spot, some stuff unpacked and such. Some small rolling beds and few pack of food and water his bag had.

Dropping logs closeby, Balder would sit close to circle, placing some big logs over circle then placing branches between them, keeping other logs close by for future use. He would then bring out a bottle out from his bag, pour some over the fire as he would drink a little of it. Then would bring out two stones from his chest pocket, having rough shape over themselves. Soon hitting it to eachother, and then, "boom" the fire start to light up. The boom wasn't that strong though! The fire was small at first bit, but with Balder blowing at it, it started to grow more and more and then, it turned to a good size to be called a fire.

Pushing his body a little backwards, Balder would lay down over his elbow which was resting upon the snowy grounds, staring at the fire. He would then start to unpack the small box in front of him with his left free hand, bringing out some pieces of sandwiches out, tossing one for Tatsuo as he would take other one and start to eat it.

"Man, sometimes, you just have to leave that town, go out and eat to your heart content and such you know!" His tone now was kind of tired, his eyes was starting to get heavy, this place just was good to sleep his tired bum off! Though he wanted to speak a little with Tatsuo before processing to that pharse.

Tatsuo found it quite quiet as he laid out the stones for the fire. It didn't take Balder long to bring back from wood for the fire, which was the easy part. The hard part was starting the fire.

As Balder came back with the branches and placed them inside of the stone circle, Tatsuo began to try and concentrate to try and cast a fireball like he use to, but Balder had it covered. He took out 2 stones from his pocket and clamped them together creating the fire for the night.


"Man, sometimes, you just have to leave that town, go out and eat to your heart content and such you know!"

Tatsuo would smile a bit then shrugged listening to Balder then replied.

"Heheeh I suppose your right Balder."

After having a little chat with Tatsuo, Balder eyes got even more heavy, it was as these rolling beds were made of magical materials, making people want to just lay down their head, and forget about any bad things out there, and just relax . . . . soon as he would nod towards Tatsuo, without knowing when, his body would just lay down over the ground, all muscles being soften and relaxed, and then . . . . him falling sleep. Though, his sleeping habits weren't always good like . . . time to time he would snore and such, well no one is complete indeed, hopefully that won't bother Tatsuo that much . . .

But soon the night passes just like a thunder in the black skies. Soon Balder would open his eyes, which was really warm, fighting his own will to raise his head and notice the sunny sky.  "Woah, I layed my head down a little bit and its already morning . . . " Thought Balder to himself as he would get help from his both hands to raise his upper body upwards, still his eyes being half opened, trying to remember what happened last night.

By doing a deep and long yawn, and then hitting on his chest for few times, his eyes get fully open and then, he would get back laying over the ground, and then by using his hips and back muscles, he jumps as he way laying down, and soon land over his feets, knees being bended over.

Afterwards, Balder would return and start to tidy up their small camp, gather the leftovers of their foods and such, repack most stuff in his bag and pull it over his shoulders once again as he would continue on and wake up Tatsuo, "Hey tatsuo, wake up man. There is a forest waiting for us to explore!" Said Balder with his energetic tone as he would kick Tatsuo few times lightly.

Tatsuo watched as his and Baldler's conversation would die down since both of them had traveled a long way and were tired beyond belief. Tatsuo's eyes would become heavy as well. Soon the night had past in almost an instance and Tatsuo was laying on the ground with a bit of snow on his face. Tatsuo almost looked like Santa Claus on Krausmas eve.

As Tatsuo slept, he dreamt of a time of if his mother was still awake, but it would quickly end as he was kicked a few times by balder. When Tatsuo felt the first few blows, he rose up from his sleeping body and yawned but ached a bit from the kick. He frowned a bit looking up at Balder, who seemed to be in his hyper mode to go into the forest.

"Alright Balder alright im up..."

Tatsuo stood up wiping off the snow from his unamed sword and his clothes. He began to follow Balder into the forest.

After packing up everything in their camp, and destroying their leftovers with gravity magic, both man would finally decide to step inside the forest. Which at first had a climate of frozen forest but slowly started to turn more warm and more greener by the time passing on and they walking. Their speed reducded highly, after all, exploring through this forests with all those clays and muggy fields appearing time to time, all those strange insects and such . . . .  but still they were making a great progress.

With Balder path finding skills in this forests, which wasn't that great, they were able to avoid some lesser yokais in their routes. Cause clearly, sheding blood would attract more of them, and this lesser would be a pain in their plans indeed.

The forest could be described by many words, beautiful! Amazing! Full of Wonders! Green! Full of life! Full of monsters! And maybe . . . . even stronger monsters!

Indeed, the forest was quite gorgeous - given the time of day, the birds were chirping, animals were out scavenging and hunting. It was quite the grand scene! There was quite the distance to cover if they hoped to find Iron Oak, or anything else of value - however there was a large tree poking out above most the others far in the distance.

Perhaps that would be a good place to start?
Tatsuo began to follow behind Balder into the Wychwood forest in high hopes to help Balder find this "Iron Oak" he was looking for. Maybe Tatsuo could even find a bit of the Green Solid substance he needed for his weapon? The substance he needed was in the shape of a green ore or even an orb of some sort that was called "Tempestine" which helped lightened the load off his weapon so he could swing it and almost feel like he was swinging nothing, which could possibly make him incredibly faster and help him master the use of it.

When looking around to the forest, it seemed to grow more beautiful since the last time he visited it as a child. Tatsuo would look around the forest and took in all of the beauty for a moment still following Balder.

 Balder had a great feeling down within his heart, he could really feel it, but then only with feeling you can't obtain anything . . . . walking in the forests, Balder decided to walk in front of Tatsuo, after all with any trap, with his size, he could protect the man easier.

As he stepped forward, he just kept looking in front of himself, and time to time turn his head around, scanning the area, for any track and mark of this rare tree which he only read about it in books! Nothing to be seen . . . . nothing . . . only normal trees and animals . . . time to time yokais . . .  "Oh! Well look Tatsuo, there is a big tree in distance, maybe we should go there? Lets go, after all we need to find it, even if I am forced to use sky to scan around!"

His tone was energetic, clearly showing how adventure he was, walking towards the tree, Balder was thinking about dangerous laying ahead, trying to be careful and stuff.

It was a rather peaceful morning, and there seemed to be little in the way as they approached the large tree. It was a bit of a longer walk - likely taking up the greater part of the hour unless they moved quick - nothing would be exactly prompting them to do so, though.

Eventually they would reach the tree. It was quite wide, and just as tall as it had looked from the distance. While the tree itself didn't seem to hold any iron oak, nor did it conceal any Tempestine on it, there seemed to be something scrawled on the wood.

On closer inspection, it seemed to be a map! It didn't span that far, in fact, the end of the map was likely still in the Wychwood! It would likely take them some time to follow it, but at the end, there was an 'X' marked quite deep into the bark. Something important it would seem!

On the bottom, beneath the map, the words 'drop zone' were marked down.
Tatsuo would follow Balder more as they both began to get close to the large tree in the middle of the forest.

To Tatsuo he wondered why ne never seen the house like before, but it was something he possibly just missed as a child. Looking around the tree, Tatsuo saw a map along with Balder and it seemed to be near them. Looking at the map carefully, It seemed it was at a place nearby, but there were words on the corner "Drop Zone".

"Drop Zone? Could it be a package drop? or an actual locaton here in the forest?"

Tatsuo began to watch as Balder started to walk away with his energetic self still smiling.

 That was a quite a walk indeed, but finally they reached towards the giant tree and soon Balder, which was now more energetic, would start to examine the tree bit by bit, from size of the woods, to even smell of it! He examined everything but sadly, there was no trace from that material which he wanted to obtain . . . but soon Balder would notice there were some craving marks over the body of tree, more he looked at it, more form of a map it took.

The fact that he didn't see this made him to giggle a little, bringing out his notebook and a pencil, Balder would start to copy all parts of map, and draw it over the two white pages of his notebook, and as it would end, he would put a big mark of X same spot as the map over the tree, and smirk.

"Well, this is like my childhood, when I was looking for treasures as a pirate! -chuckle- Well then, lets go to this 'drop zone' place. Worst case, it's a group of bandits or a Kaor yokai, best case, its obtain what we look for right? So lets go, come on!"

His tone was confident and happy, after all adventure wouldn't wait for them!

The map spanned quite the distance and if they were being careful to follow the path, it would probably even take them a few more hours on top of what they had already spent to get to the big tree. There would be some yokai along the way, but nothing too dangerous - the pair could easily avoid them, or simply dispatch them with almost no effort.

Eventually, though, they would overcome the winding path and get close to the area that had been marked. There seemed to be some sort of cave where the X was - likely the 'drop zone' that had been mentioned on the tree.

However, in front of that, there was what seemed to be a tree. However, it looked slightly more humanoid, like a person that had been hunched over in front of the mouth of the cave.

Interestingly enough, the tree's bark also seemed to be iron oak - despite that, it leant a slightly foreboding feeling, as if approaching it might have some consequences.
Tatsuo had seemed to be walking with Balder for several hours, thought there was no sign of the "Drop Zone" on the map they read before hand. Tatsuo took an apple from his bag and began to munch at it until he got to the core, then tossed the ore to the ground as it wasn't a crime o fertilize the ground with fruit.

When not paying any attention, still starnig around the beautiful landscape, Tatsuo bumped into Balder who was looking a huge tree in front of them. Was this the location?

While seeing if this place was what they saw, The tree seemed to be alive, and not in a spirtual sense. The tree was almost humanoid in a sense. Was it a Tree yokai? It would be odd to see a yokai as a tree, since they all have flesh instead of bark.

When Tatsuo see the tree move a bit he would drop his apple he took out of his bag and swallowed the bits in his mouth. Looking t it, he hoped it was a hostile creature and began to speak a bit being causious.

"Hey....is this the drop zone?"

After having his head down at his notebook for few moments, a lot of thoughts would run down through his head, he plotted and thought about anything that may goes off wrong in their journey, from flying dragons to bandits he thought but at end he felt he just need to get right down to this place, and check it out, thus would close his notebook, and change his direction as said in map and take the journey to this drop zone.

Both man, had walked a lot, this forest was really big indeed, full of life, but as said before, full of monsters . . .  though Balder recently felt to not call those yokais below Kaor rank monsters. Same as what his father said, "For a bird, a cat is a monster. . . . cat is a monster till its face a dog, then dog is a monster for the cat . . . so as long as you are strongest in food chain, there wouldn't be no monster!" This words, Balder felt like writing down somewhere for sure, as his father which would be bored following his old son would say, sometimes turned to be some wisdom carrying things.

And soon, they finally reach upon the place of the X mark. . .  and expect all those imaginations of Balder, it was but a simple cave . . . simple, a word which Balder need to teach his mind about it, sometimes there is no need for a flying dragon, but a simple cave would do the work as well!

They start closing their distance with the cave, just to find finally a strange thing in name of Kraus . . . The picture of this tree which looked like a human or something, was strange indeed. And all the way from first sight to closer sight, it just tickled Balder's curious side. Thus he would just step forward as Tatsuo started to bite his apple off, and start examining the tree upon the closer look. To finally see the bark of tree be from a strange material.

"Hey, this is iron oak I guess.  . . I am not completely sure but it is similar to pictures I see in that book . . .  this thing is strange . . . do you think there is a spell around here turn people to humans? Should we chop this thing off and take our Iron oak? . . . man too many questions . . .  what should we do Tatsuo?"

His tone was kinda now confused.

As Tatsuo interacted with the tree, it did reveal that - indeed, it did hold sentience. The bark cracked and groaned as it pushed to its feet. Where eyes would be, wood opened to reveal holes that held nothing. As it spoke, its mouth proved to be much of the same.

"More humans...?" It spoke slowly, and finally stood at its full height - towering above the pair at a solid 18 feet tall, at least. Long arm-like appendeges hung by its side. "This forest belongs to the trees. Begone from it and never come back...Unless you wish to be like the others who came before..."

As it spoke, it placed one of its branchy arms to the ground, the earth shifting quietly. Four holes opened up, and from each one, a corpse was pushed up and out. "This is your only warning, humans. The forest belongs to us, and soon, so shall your cities. Nature's progress cannot be stopped."
Hearing the Tatsuo answer, Balder would go on and place his left hand over the barks of tree, patting few times over it . . . and then, the tree started to move, its bark start to crack, and soon it started to raise into the air and skies, freaking tall it was.

At first Balder tried to follow up growing route by raising his head upwards, but then at one point he would just grab the muscles of his neck and crack the joints few times, "Man I hate looking up at tall things" Saying those words, Balder start to raise into the air, going up and up till he be in front of this tree whats appear to be face and cross his arms together.

"Woah! I must admit, seeing a tree speaking, was last thing on my list . . . .  How big are you? You are so tall man!" Said Balder with an excited tone as he would look at the tree with his curious yet glowing eyes. But soon as the tree started to talk with that deep tone of itself, Balder would take a  throw an eyebrow upwards.

As the words of old tree finish, Balder would stare downwards towards Tatsuo and shrug, "Say man, do you think this old tree here, killed humans? Ain't that a crime around this place? . . " But before he could finish his words, soon four corpses of dead people start to rise from holes, gathering around the tree, clearly showing the old tree is not kidding around.

"Sooo . . . . what should we do man? Go on and kill it to get those iron oak or . . . kill it and get those iron oak?" His tone was a little louder this time, so his voice could reach to the ground towards his partner after all, this was a team work indeed.

Tatsuo soon chuckled as the tree began to move around almost as if it had life. It began to talk and Tatsuo was fascinated by the beings ability to speak. He smiled a bit as the tree talked big, but as he thought of this the tree showed them 4 corpses of bodies of human bodies. Tatsuo be incredibly angery since they were innocent people and the tree up and killed people.

Tatsuo's mind began to grow up in a stir again seeing the 4 bodies of humans seeing them as someones people loved. He began to image them as his own siblings thatt were lost to him out of nowhere: Imeri, Yuzu, Ru, and Kiara. They were prescious to him and they were close to him in everyway.

Tatsuo began to grip his teeth and his horns began to glow in a dark manner almost like depravity, but Tatsuo tried to keep himself under control.

"Lets take that iron oak..."

Tatsuo would grab his sword from his back and held it out toward the 18 foot monster.

"Such juvenile creatures; those humans believed themselves capable of fighting too, and now they serve as naught but fertilizer for the forest they invaded." The tree creatures spoke. The ground opened once more, the corpses falling back into the holes they had inhabited prior.

"No matter. You deserve nothing but the most grim fate for all your kind has done to us." With that said, it seemed as if there was no chance to pacify the creature through any means other than death. Its arms rose as both earth and nature shifted to its beck and call.

In addition, a strange spore-like gas began to emit from cracks in its bark. Clearly, it was poisonous and would likely have some unpleasent side effects if either of the magi succumbed to it.

A fight was inevitable; Balder and Tatsuo would only have moments to prepare.
Seeing the way Tatsuo gone angry at the tree, and change in his looks, made Balder to take a deep breath nodding towards the short comment which Tatsuo made, and with that, he would turn his head towards the giant tree and take yet another deep breath.

Soon he would reach his right hand for his back, and warp his fingers around the staff of his spear, and tighten them up, and then pull it out with the force, releasing a sharp noise echoing in the air, Swinging it few times and then blocking it under his armpit as he would break the joints of his neck once more, closing his eyes.

 "Father, lend me your powers"  Repeated Balder in his mind as he would release a loud warcry, and with that, a blast of mana would happen around him, sending a strong flow of mana towards the all directions, as soon a bright beautiful aura start to glow around Balder, burn like a flame all over his body. As his eyes were turned blue now, changing his visions with it, his hair floating in the air, and his expression not being really happy at all.

Those though, brought a smirk over Balder's face, as he would take another deep breath, clearly this all were sign of hostility for the tree.

The fight was closefought - the iron oak that clinged to the creature didn't seem to just be for show, as it proved itself incredibly durable. In addition, it proved extremely powerful physically, and its magic wasn't just for show - however, it was not strong enough to overcome two powerful magi.

However, as the fight raged on, Tatsuo would realize as he attempted to make a move that vines had wrapped around his left leg - an effect from the nature magic the tree had been calling upon. Following up on that, the beast slammed its wooden arm into the man, sending him flying back - the vines stayed wrapped, though. There was a harsh 'snap' as his knee bent the wrong way, his leg clearly broken.

It would take quite some time for that to recover.
The fight soon start as Balder would fly towards the giant tree with his highest speed, though clearly, Tatsuo wasn't really in the mood, by sending a giant water beam towards the creature, right at the chest of it, making it unbalanced a little bit, leaving the Balder job easier to knock a strong strike towards the tree, sending him towards the cave, though not falling down, since he needed greater speed if he wanted to smash this giant into the ground, though he would take a chance to show a thumbs up for Tatsuo!

But unexpectly, the tree would start to rise again, that skin and bark of itself, surely was from that famous Iron oak, strong wood just like a metal and armor! And that made him want it even more! The fight even though, turned to be more of avoiding and striking at the best time towards the giant tree. Tatsuo appeared to be most helpful with those spells, giving chance to Balder to avoid the tree strikes slowly and dealing some serious damages.

His aimings were mostly for the chest of the tree, he already done four big strike towards it, but it didn't broke! But the fights goes on, like the time, its passes on. Slow and steady, they were creating a hole in this giant monster, though at one moment, Tatsuo would be trapped by the roots of the tree, coming from the ground, holding him, and then snapping a giant arm towards him, sending him flying towards a tree and then, out of all those sounds and noise, only one was clearly heard, voice of Tatsuo knee breaking . . . .

Making Balder to warp his face a little, as he already knew what is the pain of breaking your limbs! Taking yet another deep breath, Balder would release a loud and big war cry, as he would fly in a blink of eye towards the tree, dealing some quick and direct strikes and stabs towards it, making it a little unbalanced.

At one point, he noticed everything to be ready for him to deal the final strike, a feeling only experienced soldiers and warrior can feel indeed. He would first bring his spear backwards a little then throw it towards the giant tree at his greatest strength, not only it was carrying of a great power but had an aura of mana dressing around the blade, making it more cutting and such and this spear would be aimed right into the tree chest, where there been many strikes already dealt, piercing through the iron oak, spear would be stuck into the chest, appearing not to have more force to pass the chest, but already made the tree to let out a loud moan.

Soon he would fly towards the tree at his greatest speed, this time bring his right arm backwards and make a tight fist with his hand, then at one moment, put a great amount of mana into the limb of right arm, by a slight pain in the bone same as always, it would be followed by an increasing in the size of arm, and by the time it would be thrown towards the spear, it would be double sized of its last form. It looked stable and more powerful than last time, as the impact of his fist and last tip of his spear staff would be happen, the spear get a powerful boost and pierce completely through the chest of the tree, passing it.

And by that, the tree start to fall over the ground . . . appearing to be dead, leaving Balder which was struggling for the air.  After few moments passing on and Balder finally catching his breath, he would process flying towards Tatsuo which was over the ground, "Man we done it. . .  ouch . . . your leg is not so good I guess . . "

And with those words, Balder start to first examine the bone and flesh and then carry on with treating it, which started with location the bone in the joint again, which indeed wasn't a pleasant feeling.

As Tatsuo tried to battle his way through with the large tree, it seemed to go bad for him since there were alot of trees in the line of fire and couldn't get a clear shot at the big Ent. As Tatsuo tried to aim he felt something on his leg crawling up. As he looked down he saw several vines coil around his left leg. He tried to shake them off but they held him down while the tree rushed him and punched him and sent him a few feet back against another tree.

While down he stared at his leg, it seemed to be bending he wrong way, but luckily for him, Cain years ago gave his leg a small ability to Phntom pains, but that wouldn't stop the small paraylisis in his left leg. As the battle went on it seemed Balder finished the beast off.

Soon after, The beast rose up again, but his leg was slowly getting better, though it wasn't enough to be close to being ready. Tatsuo would grab hold on of his bent leg and pushed his leg back into a normal place, but the phantom pain was still a bit of a curse and a blessing when it came to combat.

The beast was slain! It crumpled in a mess of bark and wood on the woodland's ground. It certainly didn't seem as if it would be getting back up again. That meant that the pair would be free to take all the iron oak they wanted from its 'corpse' and enter the drop zone, if they so choose.
After the treatment of Tatsuo leg was done, such as bandaging it and making sure it doesn't move a lot, Balder would goes on by going over the dead body of tree, and start gathering as many as limbers of Iron Oak he could, placing them on eachother, tie them up and warp it with a big piece of cloths, this amount of materials was enough for him to do some experiments and such to craft best staff for spear possible out of it.

But now, was time to see if they should carry on or not . . .  thus Balder would return towards the Tatsuo and sit close to him, "So, we got the iron oak we have been looking for. You can pick some logs and limbers of it you know. . . anyway, shall we pay a visit to this 'Drop zone' or not? I feel there should be some interesting things you know. I can hide this iron oaks we found by branches and such then we go and explore the inside of cave. . . I can help you with getting back up and such you know . . . but its up to you if you wanna follow or not"

He would then smile, as he would pat over shoulders of Tatsuo, he helped really greatly so far. This drop zone sounded to be like a place for bandits, so paying a visit would be really good but again, Tatsuo was wounded. Thus Balder would just offer a hand for Tatsuo, and awaits his answers.

Tatsuo frowned a bit as this was yet another time he was wounded by an enemy, but he wasn't upset since he wasn't feeling any pain as of yet, but Balder was very kind enough to provide medical help to him out when he was against the tree.

Tatsuo smiled toward Balder as he asked him a few questions, but looked at the cave and smiled a bit.

"I think we should check out this 'Drop Zone' to make sure its not dangerous to the Nivis in the future."

They wouldn't meet any more resistance as they enterered the drop zone. It seemed to have been used to hold various treasures - nothing that was of extreme rarity, but it was likely that the four people that were dead underground were mercenaries, or fences of some sort that were picking up some goods.

There was a fair bit of crown, jewelry, some artwork that looked rather precious. There was also a fair stash of steel, but more interestingly in one of the crates, there looked to be a bit of tempestrine - not a huge amount, but enough to work on at least one weapon.
Again his creative side striked as both man decided to visit this drop zone, a cave which wasn't that deep. Going inside, they would come to realize this was den to some people which were gathering some precious things indeed.

Inside the cave, Balder start to examine everything around them, seeing a cart in center of cave, and all these jewelries, arts and such, only one idea striked to his mind. Owners are dead, and these beautiful things would be wasted being here right? So he started to pack all arts and jewelries inside the cart, and at one point he came to realize a rare material ore being at corner of the room, upon closer examination, Balder would grab the ore and take it for Tatsuo, place it close to him and pat over it.

"Here what you have been looking for I guess!" He would then smirk as he would leave both Tatsuo and his ores alone, returning to packing stuff.

As he packed everything he got inside the cave, Balder would process towards the outside of the cave, and start bringing out the Iron Oak they obtained from giant tree, and pack it over the cart as well, everything being ready, Balder would call for Tatsuo, it was time to return towards home indeed . . . a bath would be really pleasant at moment . . .

Tatsuo was happy since Balder was able to help him up to his feet and gave him support in geting to the "Drop zone" place on the tree map. Upon entering the small room was perhaps filled jewels, money, and few paintings. The jewels seemed to be varied and seemed to be very beautiful for that of the king.

Balder seemed to gather all of the materials and placed them into a cart he found nearby, hopefully the person using it wouldn't mind. Looking back at Balder, he seemed to find something and threw it at Tatsuo. Looking at the ore he caught it was exactly what he wanted. It was Tempestine, an ore that can be used to lighten and increase his wind magic to a great degreee.

Tatsuo rode in the cart with all of the items will Balder pulled it with ease toward Frostvale.
