  1.
  2.
  3. From North Germany to Africa, music has again set itself apart as a tool that knows no limits. Without borders music is what would let you into a culture as our recent employ into the matter proved. Local music has a saviour born and cultured to bring it out of the rut that we have consistently pointed out it wallows in.
  4.
  5. Meet Joachim Koster from the Rhine, in his glamorous get up and pointed look you'd be excused to think he's on his way to *(insert germanic cliches) and we excuse you for it.
  6.
  7. This man has known music in all it's forms from a meaningless age, sifted through the chaff and torn apart the veils of race, style and troope to build something other worldly. With his bare hands and diverse immersion programmes it's no wonder his trade secrets have remained just that.
  8.
  9. An envy of his peers?
  10.
  11. No way, Koster laughs at the thought we try to seed into his imagination. He reckons he's had a few brushes here and there but none is worth the title at hand. With a great joy he reveals that everything he does creates some type of chain reaction of which he is grateful for. The hardest part is getting people to listen and know you, the things you do, and when they do that even for the wrong reason you must take the win
  12.
  13. Too humble this man, as he speaks. When he could have been skimming the top crop in the industry and making obscene mullah while at it he has decided to go under the tables and see what is being suppressed. His discoveries are breathtaking in sound and pleasing to the eye. You'd think these are the mainstream artistes, the detail in music and depth in variance is discerned and designed apart for each of these musicians he works with.
  14.
  15. It's never the same beat, but it's always the same hand.
  16.
  17. Coverage from local media proves the ceiling is leaking with desire to be broken, the tables are almost turning and all an underdog denied in this business needs to do is show up and get jamming with the master, try out a few things in the studio, blend styles and generally express their form.
  18.
  19. Sir Koster has confessed his license with music is limitless and everything that works must be attempted if only to have the best. As such the learning curve is A big bonus to both him and his charge.
  20.
  21. Crediting his love of the art to Moses Pelham as a rapping teenager in Flensburg he hascounted 15 years of experience and inummerable exposures to greatness. Working with characters like Jah Lead and John issaya give him a competitive edge in this industry and market where spontaneous moves and expectations dance a careful tune with disastrous 3ndings for whoever is careless about it.
  22.
  23. It's all coming together for him, the 15 year old boys dream. His work brings great satisfaction and Sparks joy therefore he enjoys it thoroughly, working with choirs and everything across the divide has hastened his musical achievement, something both family in Germany and lover in Kenya are glad to hear.
  24.
  25. With this degree of selflessness Joachim Koster is shocked himself how he never considered the luxury of labels, getting one or signing on to one. He attributes this coasting to the good work atmosphere and freedom that comes with his collaboration with various off world and new world artists.
  26.
  27. As we spoke he let slip a few good things we should look out for in the possible future, the great project Da Zukunst which for our worth we refuse to debunk lest we spoil it for everyone. This project features Blak-I and a host of many African musicians which borrows from the richness of their friendship and acquired musical genius over a long time. The album will be employing our very own Crizo Mzeyahke on video production. A little bird suggests we will see Kenyan acts in it if not already done.
  28.
  29. All pandemics aside, the future is charged with international cooperation and good music, what more could any man want? Perhaps a wedding invitation, invite only, for Sir Koster has an eye on more than music and that is a good thing for another sit down.
