spring break was really interesting for me.  spent it at home mostly working, playing botw (logged about 50 hours this week :|) and dealing with hilariously awful family drama.  probably write a separate pastebin on that just to vent, a lot of it is pretty damn funny.

anyway, botw is insanely good from my casual playthrough, i'll probably talk about that more in-depth too but i'll spare spoilers in this pastebin.  probably the best ive felt about a game since dustforce, and it seems very appealing as a game to start speedrunning.  i've always been wanting to find a new speedgame to take seriously, but really high standards from dustforce make it really hard to let myself be bad and learn a game.  with botw being pretty new, i feel like i'd be learning with other people and ultimately i'd put a lot less pressure on myself.  i really dont even consider myself to be a huge zelda fan or anything, i just really loved the game lol.  my capture card is in but i have some commitments this weekend so i'll probably start a stream to test that shit out monday.

i know i've said this a million times, but i'll probably be playing less and less dustforce for the time being.  i'm pretty much goal-less in the game right now, and pretty much everything i've done in dustforce up to this point was to meet a goal i set for myself... kinda just how i motivate myself in general.   i'm satisfied with full game runs forever, and besides a few ss ILs i don't really have anything in mind to grind, and any% ILs just seem like a huge drag.  this doesn't include tasing stuff, but tasforce is basically a different game for me at this point lmao.  i'll maybe find motivation again once fresh gets the #1 overall, but until then i'll probably be on hiatus from the game besides a few random grinds or races whenever i'm bored.  i still need to play a bit to stay good for if i get into sgdq 2017 (i submitted any% all... honestly not expecting to get in, but i'm going to try and go either way), so i'm not forever quitting the game or anything like that.  ultimately i'm more interested in other things right now, both in real life and for playing video games quickly, so we'll see where i move on from here.
